“The cottage advertised offroad parking for one vehicle; however using the parking involved driving the car up a kerb (ie without a dip) through a not particularly wide gateway onto a drive, from a busy and narrow main road.”

It was then necessary either to back out or turn on the rough grass at the front of the property. We have two cars and had fortunately opted to take the one which is capable of climbing the kerb, the other car would not have been able to use the parking. It was then necessary either to back out or turn on the rough grass at the front of the property. We have two cars and had fortunately opted to take the one which is capable of climbing the kerb, the other car would not have been able to use the parking. The property was also in full sun, making it very hot at times (even though we were there in September) but opening windows meant putting up with lots of traffic noise. We were glad we were not there when it was very hot, as overnight the choice of being too hot or putting up with traffic noise would have been difficult. tWe felt the failure to mention the potential for traffic noise fell below Sykes usual standard. Otherwise the flat was well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. We were disappointed that there were no instructions about which recycling bins/ boxes to use- we had to look on Wiltshire's website to find out. We would like to see Sykes insist that all their properties carry encouragement to recycle as much as possible.
