    “We were really privileged to stay at the lovely Folly.”

    The owner Colin and Clare were really hospitable. The Folly had an amazing atmosphere and tastefully appointed. Fresh flowers, delicious homemade marmalade and jam. The inclement weather made our stay even more comfortable. A cosy log fire and a weekend watching Nations Rugby topped with a tipple or two. Spring had sprung, lovely gardens with snow drops, primroses abound. We'd love to come back again. Thank you.

Set in wonderfully private surroundings within the grounds of the owners' house, The Folly is a real gem if you're looking for peace and quiet in an exceptional location.

Arranged over three floors, the accommodation sits within unusual, hexagonal shaped rooms offering a unique experience.

A lot of thought and care has gone into the renovation of the property and the interior is stylishly decorated and furnished to a very high standard throughout.

Outside you have your own patio with lovely views over the surrounding area.

You'll be intrigued and delighted by this extremely distinctive hideaway, the perfect place to relax in this lovely area.

About the location

MERE

Shaftesbury 7 miles.

A delightful country town of old stone cottages set in a stunning conservation area, on the borders of Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset. This small, lively community is well served by a good variety of local shops and ancient inns, with much of the area to the north of the town designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ideal for walking and taking in the breathtaking views, the town is also well placed for exploring numerous National Trust attractions and historic houses. A visit to stunning Stourhead House and gardens, only 2 miles away, is not to be missed, while Longleat House and the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury featured in the Hovis adverts, are also close by. Stonehenge, Wilton House, Salisbury and the Dorset coast are all easily accessible by car, providing much to see and do for a variety of tastes.

Note: The bedroom is accessed via antique spiral staircase and there is not suitable for those with limited mobility, babies and children.
Note: The beautiful views afforded by the property mean that there is an incline from the parking area to the front door, either via a sloping path or steps. Those with limited mobility may find the property unsuitable.
