I had the most delightful week's holiday at Avon Turn.

The property was very comfortable and had everything I needed, the hosts were always friendly, and the location by the riverside was lovely. I will certainly be going back one of these days.

The property was beautifully clean and well appointed. The parking was easy and being so near Salisbury proved to be a very good location for touring. We had no problems parking in the city, or following the major routes to other locations nearby. We were a little disappointed that the river view from the garden seating area had become overgrown and was not as open and far reaching as pictured on the internet, however it was possible to view from a little walk along the bank and we saw deer, water foul and a Kingfisher on three separate occasions; brilliant! The owners were both very welcoming and helpful. Thank you for sharing your beautifil garden.

We've wanted to visit Stonehenge and this was a perfect location to visit Stonehenge, Woodhenge, Old Salum, Mottisfont as well as explore Salisbury itself. The local pub had reopened the day we arrived, giving the added bonus of a pub within walking distance with great food. The accommodation was lovely, sweet in the grounds of the owners home. They were on hand if needed, and very helpful with our questions. (But never made us feel at all awkward or a nuisance) To be able to sit by the river was so relaxing and we were treated to two woodpeckers, kites, a kingfisher, and swans. The dark skies of the area also enabled us to enjoy the perseid shower. We'd certainly recommend.

Highly recommended! For anyone staying at the property we recommend using the Park and ride…..this avoids expensive car parks and driving into a busy town

We had a fantastic time at Avon Turn.

The cottage was in a great position close to Salisbury, yet we felt we were we were miles from nowhere. Peaceful and quiet in the middle of the countryside. Plenty of wildlife and it was nice to relax on the decking by the side of the river. The hosts were very friendly but not too intrusive. Very good road connections. Top marks.

This isolated first-floor apartment is immaculate and exhibits lovely wood and quality joinery.

It has very comfortable furniture and a very comfortable bed. It is a delight to walk out the door and across the lawn to sit on the dock beside the Avon River. The surrounding garden and land are beautifully maintained. Privacy combine with the pleasure of looking across the fast-flowing river with the tower of Salisbury Cathedral in the distance.

A beautiful loft apartment in an outstanding location, ideally situated for access to the wealth of visitor attractions Salisbury and the surrounding areas have to offer.

The property is set in stunning grounds with the River Avon running along the bottom of the garden, the decked seating area offering the ideal spot for relaxing at the end of a busy day. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the loft apartment was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be booking again.

The owners are friendly, helpful and live right next to the property. The location is fine but there isn't much within a walking distance. The local pub wasn't open and the village itself was incredibly small.

Owners lived on the premises and were very friendly and made many useful suggestions for our stay. A good base for visiting many places in the area.

I was a little apprehensive about the steps given my disability but I needn't have worried, well thought out and built with comfort in mind, ticked all the boxes, I didn't need to bother the owners, good for them and me, yay.

Thanks for sharing your space, it has to be one of the most peaceful places, to be able to sit by the river with a cuppa in near silence is so worth it in this day and age. A short drive to local places of interest and shopping a bonus. And then went home and then we had tea.

Gorgeous property in the nicest location imaginable.

If you want peaceful relaxation, this is for you. We chose to visit lots of other places too as this is central to loads of superb locations. As a bonus, the owners are friendly and helpful

We really enjoyed our short stay at Avon Turn View.

It was so quiet and peaceful. We watched the swans on the river, a deer in the garden, squirrels and lots of birds. During our stay Sheilagh and Martin kindly let us use their decking by the river. We spent a few hours having drinks one evening, watching the river and taking in the beautiful scenery. We could even see Salisbury Cathedral in the distance. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts are so friendly and let us have apples and pears from their garden. This place is very special and we loved it.

A cosy, comfortable retreat offering everything we needed for a few days' break.

Bed and bedding were super-comfortable, all equipment clean and of good quality. Salisbury is just a few minutes away by car, but we could escape to the tranquillity of Avon Turn View at the end of a busy day. A real bonus was being allowed to use the owners' decking next to the river, where we loved watching the river and its wildlife in the unseasonably clement weather - 4 days of sunshine in mid October! Shelagh and Martin were the perfect hosts - we even went home with some apples from their tree. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in this part of the world.
