The Loft at Lucott House

This is a lovely property with an amazing view from the living area.

Plenty of room with a large bedroom and bathroom. The shower is really roomy. Everything we needed was provided. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is a good place to stay.

We loved The Loft holiday apartment.

We chose it because of its rural setting in the pretty village of Englishcombe, and we weren't disappointed. The owners, David and Alison, were very friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated the milk, delicious homemade scones, jam and clotted cream, as well as the vase of fresh flowers. It was also great to have a parking space inside the gate. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. We thought that the apartment was even better than we were expecting. It was spacious, clean and light, and it had everything we needed. There was plenty of storage space for all our belongings, and lots of shelving too, which was great, as I bring a lot of toiletries with me! The bedroom was very large, and the king size bed was extremely comfortable, so we slept really well. The shower was excellent, too. We enjoyed sitting on the sofa taking in the amazing countryside views. We loved the peaceful and beautiful location, just opposite the village church, which is definitely worth a visit. I spent each evening sitting on a bench in the churchyard, looking out over the countryside, which was very calming. We hope that we will be able to return to The Loft in the future. We will definitely recommend it to family and friends. We felt that it was one of the best holiday apartments that we have stayed in. The Park and Ride at Odd Down was really handy for getting into Bath, and we would definitely recommend Newton Farm Shop at Newton St Loe, just a few miles from The Loft. They serve delicious lunches and cakes in the café - we highly recommend the fish finger sandwiches - and the farm shop is really well stocked. We also visited Stourhead (National Trust), which is absolutely stunning. It's about a 40-minute drive away, but it's well worth a visit. Thank you for having us, David and Alison.

We loved our stay at The Loft.

Dave and Alison were welcoming hosts and we had many chats with them about this and that. The Loft next door to Lucott House looks out onto a lovely garden and open countryside. It has a superb shower and a really comfortable bed. It is set in the lovely quiet village of Englishcombe with the church of St Peter opposite. There is a convenient Park and Ride at Odd Down which is ideal for Bath which is a wonderful city to visit. Dave also told us about another Park and Ride at Brislington about 20 minutes along the A4 which is great for a visit to Bristol which we made use of specifically to visit the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Plenty of walks in the area which we took advantage of. All in all The Loft is a place that we would have no problem in visiting in the future.

On first arrival property very clean and welcoming with homemade scones, jam and cream and milk in the fridge and tea bags to have a cup of tea.

David and Alison very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The property is conveniently located in a small pretty village but within a few minutes drive to the main road where there is access to a 'park and ride' in to Bath five minutes away.

We had a warm welcome by Alison and a private off road parking space right next to the property. Inside was clean, light, bright and spacious and fully equipped with all you could need and the scones, jam and clotted cream Alison and David had left were delicious. We would recommend this property.

You have a wonderful place and the scones and jam were delicious. The loft is hidden at the end of the street, we got lost because we arrived very late but google maps was a big help. We stayed during the Valentines period and though it was slightly chilly outdoors, the loft was very cozy. Alison and her husband were so lovely, they checked in the day after we arrived and made sure we were good. There are such lovely walking / hiking trails near the loft with streams, I definitely recommend! Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay here again. Thank you for having us

David and Alison were such welcoming and helpful hosts with useful advice on places to visit and how to get into Bath.

It was lovely to be greeted with delicious scones, cream and jam. The property was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and warm. It was as described in the details. I enjoyed some lovely sunrises over the old castle remains. A lovely place to stay if you want to visit Bath and places south but don't want to be in the town.

Nice quiet picturesque location and only a short easy drive to the park and ride into Bath city centre.

A perfect place for a holiday.

Alison and David are both very friendly and are keen to share their knowledge of the area. The cottage was spacious, private, well equipped and spotlessly clean with beautiful views of the surrounding area from the door. So many things to the see and do very close by.

Perfect for our needs, very peaceful and quiet.

Fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and some nice short walks from the door. The cottage is very well equipped, and the homemade scones with jam and cream on arrival were delicious. We met both of the owners (David and Alison) who are very friendly and helpful, David even loaned us a brolly for our son’s graduation (on the only wet day of the week)! There are a few essential supplies available (that other accommodation doesn’t always have) such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cloth, scouter etc. a few coffee pods (Lavazza) to get started and a small bottle of cooking oil, salt and pepper etc. The towels provided are good quality and size, and the shower is decent. The weather was very hot during our stay and the bedroom very warm, could be that a ceiling fan would be a very worthy upgrade (just an observation, we come from ‘up North’ so not used to the heat)! Overall a fantastic property, would highly recommend.

If you like a quiet place to stay , this is ideal with lots of great places near by to visit. The property was well thought out, and we needed for nothing. Very comfortable bed, an excellent shower and quality towels made this a great place to stay for 2 people. We went to Bath, Lacock, Frome, Wells and Bradford upon Avon all within easy reach. The owners were friendly and helpful. Lovely views from the balcony at one time all we could hear was the sheep and the rooks. Lovely.

Would suit one person, especially if eating out rather than self catering.

A few minutes drive to Bath, and a good base for sightseeing. We have stayed here a couple of times and would not hesitate to come back. The owners were very welcoming and help was on hand if needed.

We had a lovely holiday, our hosts David and Alison were very helpful with all local information and directions, our accommodation was very very clean modern and comfortable, Allison's scones were superb with home made jam & cream it was a lovely welcome can't wait to go back .

The Loft is a gem of a holiday accommodation. It has been fitted out and furnished with great care and attention. Lovely extra touches - homemade scones, a vase of cheerful daffodils, soft fluffy towels and a very comfortable bed. A delight to sit and gaze out over the garden and countryside. Ideal for visiting Bath using the park and ride. We took our bikes and we had easy access to canal tow paths and disused railway tracks. Very helpful hosts. Thank you.

I have just returned from spending a week at The Loft at Lucott House.

It is an ideal place to stay if you enjoy the countryside and you are looking for close access to the city of Bath. The accommodation is lovely, and how it appears in the photos. I found the bed extremely comfortable and the bedroom is quite spacious. I had a wonderful break there, and I wound like to thank Alison and David for making me welcome. Looking forward to returning!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Loft.

David and Alison made us very welcome and the cream tea on arrival was very welcome. They also gave us some great tips for visiting local places of interest. Journey into Bath via Park and Ride is definitely recommended. The only downside for us was not being able to control the heating system without contacting the owners via text. Other than that everything else was as expected.

This is a perfect country retreat on the outskirts of Bath.

The area around is VERY hilly so, if like me you don't come with a car, you need to be fit to walk around and there is no bus going through the village. However a taxi into Bath city centre was about £13/£14 so not too expensive. The loft itself felt very cosy. A little noise from the main house (mainly closing of doors, washing machine and some voices) but nothing too major. The kitchen area was well stocked, no washing machine, but it had a dishwasher which, in the absence of a sink you could fill, was necessary. Very comfortable bed, nice shower. The owners were incredibly helpful but also left me to it. The cream tea was a lovely welcome. I would certainly stay again or recommend to anyone wanted a base for the area.

A lovely place to stay in the middle of the countryside yet only up the road (literally) from the centre of Bath.

The silence was so lovely coming from a busy City for a break. A beautiful view from the loft and everything we needed for the week, pots and pans and throws and leaflets with tourist attractions and even a cute little cream tea when we arrived! It was super clean and very cozy. Great location too. Everything was just a short distance away. The furthest we drove was an hour away. A mention too for David, one of the owners who also made sure we were comfortable and recommended places to go and things to do. Really appreciated.

Very peaceful. Delightful accommodation. Most welcome afternoon tea on arrival. Would highly recommend. Really enjoyable. For visitors planning on car travel be aware narrow lanes. Excellent local Farm shop near by for essentials.

This property is a gem, and rates as one of the best we have stayed in.

The standard of finish is exceptional, and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. It is set on a great location, with walks from the front door and beautiful views from the lounge. We will most certainly book again in the future.

We have just returned from a week at The Loft which is in an idyllic location , handy for both Bath and Bristol.

Our stay was extremely comfortable and we cannot find anything to criticise with the accommodation or the location. The owner , David , was very helpful and kindly gave us a tour of the parish church which is adjacent. The views from the balcony are amazing. We would highly recommend staying at The Loft.

We came to Bath to celebrate our son's graduation.

What better place to stay than the Loft? It had everything we could need, all contained in a lovely apartment, and away from the bustle of the city. It was so good to sit on the sofa, with the patio doors open, enjoying the view. A word of warning if you are not used to rural driving; the lanes around Englishcombe are very narrow and twisty. It may be "outskirts of Bath" but it is definitely countryside! No problem to us, we're mountain folk. David and Alison were perfect hosts; friendly and accessible, but discreet. It was a pleasure to meet them, and to stay in their property.

A lovely, well equipped property with beautiful views.

We felt very comfortable there and the owners were welcoming and very nice. The shower is great and there was plenty of hot water. Easy access to Bristol Park & Ride for days out in the city and various other places. Wells is definitely worth a visit and we can also recommend the "Bad of Bath" guided walking tour. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would highly recommend this property.

The Loft is a spacious clean well equipped apartment.

It has a large comfortable bed with a nice large shower room. The private parking space is very convenient. There are excellent views overlooking the surrounding countryside. It is an ideal location for exploring Bath and the surrounding area. Definitely a good choice for our week’s holiday, and the scones and cream on arrival were delicious.

The Odd Down park and ride is a few minutes drive away so visiting Bath is easy. The Loft is very well equipped with everything you need. The Loft was extremely uncomfortable and quiet. Located with good access to Bath and Bristol. Good farm shops nearby so no need to eat out. Recommend a visit to Lacock. Weather was changeable but we were quite happy staying put and enjoying the apartment. Thoroughly recommend

Everything about this place was absolutely perfect!

Beautiful first floor barn conversion ( private parking space and own entrance up wooden steps) in a tranquil rural village very close Bath. Comfortable and spacious bedroom with plenty of cupboard space. Excellent en suite shower. Well equipped kitchen/dining/sitting room. Amazing skies and views over surrounding countryside from the comfort of your own sofa through double doors that open out onto the small wooden deck. Very much your own space and did not feel overlooked by the thoughtful owners who provided delicious scones on arrival. It was my bolthole for the week and didn't want to leave!

We discovered that the Owner had disconnected the plug in the bathroom sink due to flooding caused during a previous letting.

Something should be done about that in our opinion as it made using the sink for shaving etc. tricky, having to constantly turn the tap on and off.

The property was perfect for us - so handy for places we wanted to visit.

And what a view! Very comfortable, all necessary amenities and a really excellent shower. Only 10 minutes to the park and ride to Bath. Very friendly hosts. We would recommend.

We absolutely adored The Loft: wonderful views, gorgeous weather and so much to see and visit locally.

Bath and Wells are equally beautiful and we visited Lacock Abbey and the village on our way to our accommodation. We will certainly be staying again!

We had a wonderful 2-week stay at The Loft.

Our hosts, David and Allison, were gracious and helpful. The view out over the countryside from the deck is incomparable, especially at dawn, with constant lovely birdsong. The Norman church literally across the street was wonderful to explore. Note that the lanes leading to the site are EXTREMELY narrow, even by Bath standards - be prepared to pull over into the hedgerows.

The property is very clean and comfortable and is situated in a lovely quite village. The interior of this property is of a very high standard offering everything that you need. We hope to return one day to explore more of the beautiful Somerset countryside.

We thought this was a charming property, very restful to return to after the pleasant bustle of Bath.

The view from the lounge is delightful and the furniture arranged to maximise enjoyment of this. Very comfortable and clean and would recommend to anyone who prefers to stay just outside the town. Very hospitable hosts who get the balance right between being helpful and allowing you privacy. Lovely cream tea left ready for us on arrival.

Large and comfortable bed, great shower, everything worked as it should. Smart TV which was very handy, struggled with the remote though… The property is full of light from morning till night.

A beautiful location nestled just outside of Bath.

The Loft is just as shown, clean, bright, cosy and perfect for the country lover with fantastic views and walks, but near enough to the city centre if you want to explore Bath. The owner was welcoming and helpful and left home made scones and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy, which was a nice surprise. The Bath park and ride is 5 minutes away. Other places worth exploring - Wells, Bradford on Avon and Lacock.

We loved our break in The Loft.

It felt homely and was really comfortable. It was so welcoming, we greatly appreciated the milk and homemade scones and jam, the fresh flowers were a delight and there was a bottle of wine as a surprise gift. It’s in a very peaceful, scenic setting and the night sky was particularly entrancing from the small balcony. David the owner was lovely and was happy to offer information and directions. We really can’t recommend The Loft highly enough and if the opportunity rises, we’d love to come back for a longer stay.

The property was spotless, comfortable, spacious and met our expectations and the welcome gifts were much appreciated.

The location and aspect were to another level ~ the sunrise in the morning, the country sounds of owls, the clean fresh air. I particularly liked the thoughtful Ordinance Survey map on the wall, enabling me to 'walk the local area' before breakfast ~ finding the {secret} Community garden, hornbeam avenue, enjoying the country sights & sounds, balloon flights, milking-parlor sounds + sheep, pigs, horses, rabbits etc.: didn't see a hedgehog (but then they are nocturnal): collected blackberries for breakfast: loved it all!. That was a change from the norm!!!.

We have just returned from a short break at The Loft and can honestly say that the advert does not do it enough justice.

The Loft is in a beautiful and peaceful location with amazing views from the balcony. We could not believe how lucky we had been to find this little gem at such short notice. It isn't far from the Park and Ride which we used whilst there, and just left our car there all day whilst exploring Bath. Alison and David who own the loft are very friendly and couldn't do enough for us with recommendations of where to eat, shops and places to visit and the extra treats of scones and wine were a lovely surprise. We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to friends and family.

Lovely peaceful place to relax when visiting family in Bristol.

A great deal of thought had gone into every aspect of the loft, and it showed. Excellent shower, comfortable bed, amazing views and lovely hosts. We definitely plan to return, and hopefully for longer next time.

This property was one of the best, if not THE best, we have had through Sykes.

Thank you to the delightful and accommodating (but not intrusive) owners David and Alison for their helpfulness and willingness to provide an excellent service in all matters, even giving us permission to charge our newly-acquired electric vehicle from their domestic supply ( we did pay them for the privilege!) The property is spacious, incredibly well-equipped, spotlessly clean and located in a quiet rural setting with wonderful views over the owners’ garden and Somerset countryside beyond. Whilst being in a tranquil setting, the property was also within easy reach of so many interesting places to visit. We spent time in Bath itself (try the free Mayor’s guided walk) and also visited Bristol (the old covered markets and waterfront were fascinating and lunch in the Pump House pub was very welcome). We went to a number of National Trust properties (Lacock Abbey, Great Chalfield Manor, Dyrham Park and Westwood Manor), all within easy reach of The Loft. We found Corsham to be a delightful small Wiltshire market town (a lucky find as we only went there to make use of a rapid public charger for the car) and also enjoyed brief visits to Frome and Bradford-on-Avon (try the Secret Garden cafe where owner David is so welcoming). We certainly would not hesitate to highly recommend The Loft and hope to return there at some future date.

The apartment had everything we needed and is situated in a peaceful hamlet surrounded by countryside yet only a short distance from Bath. As other guests have said The Loft was spotlessly clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable indeed with good quality linen. The property had a much more spacious feel than I was expecting and we spent a lot of the time looking out over the beautiful garden and countryside. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and appreciated the little extras of wine, cream tea and fresh flowers. A very relaxing location and I’m sure we will return in the not too distant future.

Alison and Steve made us feel most welcome. They were there to greet us on arrival and check in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we need. The loft was very spacious and well presented with everything you need for a few days away. Close enough to Bath to allow us to use taxi every day at a reasonable cost. The view of the surrounding country side was spectacular. (We never really watched tv. Just some.music and looked out at the view) we have already recommended the Loft to family and willdo so for friends. We will be back. The wine and scones on arrival were a thoughtful touch.

We had a lovely week, despite the rather disappointing weather.

The cream tea ready for us when we arrived was much appreciated as was the bottle of wine in the fridge. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The lovely view from the living room made you feel as if you were miles away from the town, yet Bath was easily reachable by bus from the Park and Ride. A bit hilly for all but dedicated cyclists in Englishcommbe itself but you can park at Dundas Aqueduct and cycle from there towards Bath or Bradford on Avon. We recommend The Loft.

Having stayed there several times before I found the Loft just as wonderful as ever with every comfort

Loved the cottage and really liked the touch of the bottle of wine and the scones that were left for us, the scones were delicious.

A lovely getaway despite the weather, loved what they have done with the place and just what you need for a getaway!

Directions were spot on, a convenient location for getting into Bath and a lovely comfortable cottage.

We would thoroughly recomend it. Fabulous views, peace and quiet yet not to far from the delights of Bath. The homemade scones and wine left by our hosts Alison and David were much appreciated. We visited some lovely villages, the picturesque Castle Coombe and Lacock which have been used in making many period dramas/films. Longleat was amazing, although the Lions were dozing. The loft was as we expected, our welcome was overwhelming with scones and cream, fresh flowers and a bottle of wine which was all much appreciated after our long journey.

The views were magnificent. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants a lovely stay very near to Bath City and beautiful countryside.

The owners of the Loft were friendly but not intrusive, the welcome scones & wine were a nice touch along with the fresh flowers.

The Loft is well equipped including a hairdryer. All aspects of the Loft are comfortable & good quality. The view from the Loft is lovely. The village is well situated to see the area including Bath, Bristol, Cheddar. There are footpaths from the door. The little hill you see from the view is well with going up as you can see as far as the Bristol Channel & Wales. Would recommend the Loft & would stay there again if we were in the area.

Our stay at The Loft at Lucott House was all we hoped for and more.

The organisation and communication were excellent and the accommodation outstanding. Our hosts who live in the attached house were friendly, helpful and accessible to just the right degree, and the home made scones with jam and cream very welcome. The dedicated parking space is accessed through a gate making it very secure, The whole apartment was spotlessly clean and fresh, and the bed very comfortable. Above all, we were struck by the silence and peace of the place, and the outstanding views of the countryside that surrounded us. Highly recommended.

This is our second visit to The Loft and we had a fantastic stay.

The owners are lovely and the property is spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location is in a quiet rural area yet only a few minutes drive away from links to all the major cities. And who can resist the welcome package of a cream tea and bottle of wine!

This was an excellent apartment for a couple looking for peace and quiet yet close to the city of Bath.

Wonderfully set in a lovely English village with spectacular views. Apartment was fitted out to the highest quality and there was on site support from the owners if needed.

The loft was the perfect retreat for us.

Made us forget how much we were missing going abroad. The Loft is in the perfect position to explore all that the area has to offer. In the one week we spent there we visited Bath and the amazing Roman Baths, Wookey Hole, Stonehenge, Longleat Safari Park and gardens, Avebury, Glastonbury and the cities of Wells And Salisbury. This still leaves plenty to do next time. The loft itself is just perfect, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom (with a fantastic walk in shower,) large comfortable bedroom (plenty of storage) and the views looking out the doors from the couch make you just want to sit there all day. The couple who own the loft David and Alison could not be more friendly or helpful and left Wine and cookies for us on arrival.The whole experience was just perfect and one we will never forget. We look forward to returning in the future. One more thing anyone wanting to visit the attractions in the area make sure to book in advance as entry is currently limited, but will not be an issue if pre booked.

Had a lovely stay at the Loft at Lucott House.

The loft was great, the view from the French doors was amazing and it had everything you needed. The shower was amazing! The loft is in a lovely peaceful location, it was just a shame that a house across the way had a lot of loud building work going on during our stay but of course this couldn’t be helped. Would definitely recommend a stay as it’s close to Bath and within easy reach of Bristol too and the loft itself is lovely!

A very attractive and spacious conversion at first floor level with stunning views across the valley.

Fitted to a high standard this space is ideal for a couple. 16 stairs to ascend to the flat. Owners on site - welcoming and helpful. Englishcombe is a charming village outside Bath. Narrow lanes and big tractors. No pub unfortunately but very charming nonetheless.

A great holiday let , this spottlesly clean and well appointed accommodation offers everything you could ask for .

Well proportioned and all the comforts of home with lovely views help make this the best holiday let we have stayed in . If your looking for peace , quite and comfort them put this accommodation at the top of your list .

The Loft was spacious yet cosy.

The view from the lounge window was incredible even when it rained! The property had been fitted to a very high standard - the bed was incredibly comfortable and on arriving we were greeted with scones, jam and cream - what more could you want!

This was a perfect apartment for a couple, in a quiet, picturesque location.

It was in the countryside but convenient for visiting the city of Bath. The hosts were very welcoming and had provided some essentials such as milk, cake and wine! The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped and the bathroom luxurious.

Only a short stay this time but everything was perfect. I shall certainly be staying again in the future

The property was one of the best self catering properties we have stayed in.

It had wonderful rural views but was very close to Bath city. We would like to return to Bath for another visit and would hope to be able to stay at the Loft again.

This was a delightful place to stay and very convenient to Bath and major roads The owners were very helpful and the cream tea on arrival was most welcome

Beautiful scenery, lovely big shower.

The kitchen had every utensil you could need as well as tea, coffee, sugar & milk. The scones & wine were just lovely. Great location, easy journey in to Bath by bus. Great walks around the area. The owners were great & said if there was anything was needed, they also had a selection of leaflets of local attractions as well as maps which were very useful. Wonderful stay. Couple of suggestions just to improve the stay even more, curtains or blinds on the main door would be good, obviously during the day they let in a lot of the light & provide beautiful views but in the evening it would have felt even more cosy having something to pull across. Also, just a tiny thing but a bracket on the TV would be good, just naturally the main sofa is pointed towards the view & so it's difficult to see the TV from there of an evening without moving the sofa. But brilliant stay & I would definitely recommend & stay here again.

The loft has been built and decorated to a very high standard and level of comfort.

The owner kindly left us a bottle of wine and some homemade scones with jam and cream.

The Loft is an exceptional stylish, well furnished property.

Great views, lovely walks from the door and a very comfortable bed. Also only 10 minutes to the centre of Bath and a large Sainsburys supermarket in spite of being surrounded by rolling countryside. Really helpful owners with great advice on walks and the local farms shop/café.

This spot is a hidden gem.

If it had any faults, we did not find them. The welcome was lovely too. We would certainly come again, definitely eleven out of ten.

We loved our stay at The Loft at Lucott House.

Our hosts, Alison and David were friendly and helpful. Delicious scones with jam and clotted cream were provided....a lovely touch. The Loft was bright, clean and modern with everything one needed to make ones stay comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and the King size bed was very comfortable. The village has many quaint stone houses with pretty gardens and The Loft has a great view over the hillside. Bath is a busy interesting town, but for peace and tranquility it’s worth visiting Great Chalfield Manor House and Gardens, where the roses and herbaceous borders were simply beautiful and the manor was very picturesque. The Loft at Lucott House is a great place to stay.

The Loft was very comfortable with everything that we needed.

The views over the countryside were lovely. Nice place to relax. Close to Bath which was easily accessible with the park and ride. It was very handy to have post codes that helped to find places. David and Alison were there to help if needed. Very enjoyable week.

The Loft is the best place I have stayed in in Bath.

It is extremely comfortable, beautifully clean and perfect hosts, there if you need them but respect your privacy. The wine cake and flowers were very much appreciated and the view is stunning. It is somewhere I shall no doubt be visiting again

A beautiful apartment in the pretty hamlet of Englishcombe a short distance from Bath.

The apartment was furnished to a very high standard with everything of an excellent quality. A very comfortable king size bed and great bathroom with fab shower! We will definitely visit again when in the area - many thanks to Alison and David for making us so welcome!

Couldn't have asked for better hosts in David and Alison, nothing was to much trouble for them.

The owners of the loft were a lovely couple, easy to talk to.

They even left extras as a welcome. We had our own private parking area which was secure behind gates. Views were beautiful in a lovely village. Park and ride made access to Bath easy, and was only a few minutes away.

The property was very clean and comfortable, and we were welcomed by the hosts on arrival.

Beautiful country setting with amazing view, yet withing easy reach of links to Bath, Bristol, etc. Fresh flowers, cake and wine made us feel at home, Would definitely stay again.

The Loft is a lovely comfortable conversion with a good view out of the balcony doors.

It has a spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed and great shower. The owners are very pleasant and helpful.

Lovely quiet location close to Bath, beautiful accommodation and we felt very welcome.

Be aware it is situated down some windy country narrow roads and as the name suggests it is a loft accessed by a wooden staircase. I would recommend as a place to stay as the view alone is worth it.

The Loft is a beautiful retreat in the countryside surrounding Bath.

The pictures don’t really do it justice. It’s a stunning property with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The bed is comfortable, the shower is powerful and a lovely size, the kitchen and living area is exactly what is needed, with the sofa positioned to look out over the rolling fields. The Loft is a warm and cosy base for visiting historic Bath and the surrounding areas of natural beauty. We’d like to thank Alison and Dave, the owners of the property, for being so friendly and helpful. Alison even made scones and jam to welcome us on our first day. This week has been “Just Perfect”! We had a great time and it was made even better by the accomadation being spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed,very friendly hosts.

We stayed for a week at the beginning of August.

The Loft is the perfect place to explore Bath and the surrounding areas. Based in the lovely little village of Englishcombe, 10 mins away from Bath and 25 mins away from Bristol. Dave and Alison were fantastic hosts, very knowledgable and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

The accommodation and facilities provided were excellent.

The loft accommodation was newly decorated and fully equipped with new kitchen and other equipment. The accommodation was in a small and tranquil rural village; views from the property were spectacular. The location was excellent for touring the area around Bath and Bristol, and was close to a park and ride for visiting Bath itself. It was an ideal base for us and we would not hesitate to revisit if we stayed in the area again.

Everything you could possibly want for a fantastic stay, fantastic area with plenty to see and do. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, nothing was to much trouble for them. Would recommend this place.
