The property

A delightful Grade II listed semi-detached thatched cottage ideally located in the heart of the pretty Worcestershire village of Bredon's Norton, close to Pershore and Tewkesbury.

The pleasant furnishings and wealth of character make this cottage an ideal base for a romantic break in a unspoilt part of the country.

As you step inside the cottage the olde-worlde charm is evident with original beams and doors sitting alongside more contemporary furnishings.

The cosy sitting room is in the 17th century part of the cottage and makes a great place to sit and relax while the open plan living area is ideal for those summer days as the external doors can be opened so you can enjoy the birdlife in the garden.

The open plan area has a very well equipped kitchen and a dining area for a romantic dinner or just sit and relax as you plan the day's activities.

Outside the cottage garden provides a great place to unwind and forget the helter-skelter of everyday life.

Many lovely walks and cycle rides can be enjoyed from the doorstep of the cottage - head up Bredon Hill, one of England's Marilyns, to Parson's Folly where panoramic views of Malvern Hills, Vale of Evesham and Severn Valley can be enjoyed.

Look out for the Elephant Stone too!

The Wychavon Way and Shakespeare's Avon Way both pass close by.

A range of amenities can be found at Pershore and Tewkesbury, whilst the Regency spa town of Cheltenham is also within easy reach and worthy of a day trip.

A unique cottage for a memorable holiday at any time of year.

About the location

BREDON'S NORTON

Tewkesbury 5 miles; Pershore 6 miles; Malvern 9 miles; Cheltenham 10 miles.

The thriving village of Bredon's Norton nestles on the western slope of Bredon Hill on the northern edge of the Cotswolds. The village has many timber-framed 'cruck' cottages and a 14th century Manor House where it is reputed that Sir Walter Raleigh was a visitor. Bredon Hill is a National Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, part of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The towns of Tewkesbury and Pershore, both only a ten minute drive by car are famous for their abbeys and have excellent shopping facilities, and the regency spa town of Cheltenham, with its range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants, pubs and famous Gold Cup horse racing is a short drive away, as is Broadway, a quintessentially English village, one of the most beautiful in the Cotswolds. Upton-upon-Severn lies on the banks of the River Severn, boasting a variety of 17th century buildings, and home to 'The Pudding Shop', as well as traditional inns, cafes and its very own museum. This charming country town plays host to many Jazz, Folk and Blues Festivals throughout the year, and has its own marina, a local vineyard and striking Heritage Centre. The beautiful town of Malvern and the dramatic Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, make a great day out and offer 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways over a 9-mile range of ancient rock. Bredon's Norton is centrally located for exploring attractions such as Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, Warwick Castle, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water and numerous National Trust properties.
