Bath, Bath & surrounding Area
There are few locations in the centre of Bath that will better The Margaret's Buildings Townhouse. Set within a quiet corner of Bath, down a small pedestrianised courtyard where you will see art galleries, cafes and similar shops, this gorgeous home is an excpetional place for visiting Bath. Dating back to the 18th Century, when it was once a lady's shoe shop, this wonderful Grade II listed, Georgian townhouse retains so much of the original charm that for a family or group of (up to) five people you can enjoy central Bath in elegance. Outside, is a quiet pedestrian mall with independent shops, which means you can leave the cooking and everything else to make this a "proper" holiday - city living at its best. Inside, the house is spread across 3 floors, above a local restaurant (with sound insulation too) with the open plan living on the first floor, the master suite on the second floor and the two final bedrooms on the top floor. An historic building, but with warmth and cosiness that makes you feel right at home.
The house is conveniently situated between two of Bath's most famous landmarks, The Royal Crescent and The Circus - each about 30 seconds walk away!
Even in winter, when we visited this was a perfect spot to live like a local with everything on your doorstop and peace inside when you close the front (original!) door. We loved it here.

Bath, simply put, is one of England's finest cities. Not particularly large and not particularly sprawling it is, however, filled with some of the finest architecture and history that is certainly enough to keep the most determined tourist busy for days and days! There are many excellent restaurants and bars within a short walk.
The city is relatively easy to navigate on foot and as you would expect offers a wide variety of restaurants, shops, attractions, theatres, public houses and city tours. Of particular note are the Roman Baths and Hot Springs as well as the museums, all of which are nearby. There is also easy access to the Kennet and Avon Canal which is great for walkers.
To the north are the Cotswolds approx 20 minute drive away which stretch further for many miles. Burford, for example is an hour away. Although most people staying in this accommodation will enjoy Bath, there are many other things to consider and visit should your stay be longer than a weekend!
" We've enjoyed our stay in this well located and comfortable apartment (and appreciated the Christmas decorations). It was a shame the Italian restaurant downstairs closed for most of our week. We much enjoyed the one meal we were able to have there. "Mr Young and family 2015-11-12
"What a lovely apartment - a great location! It really added to what was a great weekend. Bath is full of surprises, nice ones at that! Lovely food, fun pubs and the sun finally came out. Thanks again."Mr & Mrs O'Grady 2015-01-12
