    “Very good value stay”

If, like us, location is a prime reason for picking holiday accommodation, then this property takes some beating. Waitrose is a 5 minute walk and there are 3 really good pubs also within a 5 minute walk. Add to that that you can be in the hills within 15 minutes from your door. We did 3 long walks from the doorstep without needing to take out the car, which is an important asset for us. The property is also roomy, the kitchen adequately equipped and the shower works well. We did 3 long walks from the doorstep without needing to take out the car, which is an important asset for us. The property is also roomy, the kitchen adequately equipped and the shower works well. With the heating on we were never cold. The lounge, which you tend to spend most time in, is a comfortable and sunny aspect. The property does, however, suffer from being a little on the sad side. It could really do with renovating if it were to compete with classier and more expensive properties. There is an issue with damp and condensation and if this is something that would detract from your holiday, then this property is perhaps avoided.

MALVERN

Ledbury 7 miles; Worcester 10 miles; Hereford 23 miles.

The beautiful Worcestershire town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Malvern Hills form a 9-mile range of ancient rock, which offers 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with natural springs and long distance views in all directions. The town holds antiques fairs, WI country markets, farmers’ markets and many auctions throughout the year, as well as the Great Malvern Food Festival in June. Malvern has individual shops, cafes, galleries, restaurants, a luxurious spa and it’s own micro brewery. It is also just a short drive from the Three Counties Showground which hosts regular events most notably RHS Malvern (May), The Royal Three Counties Show (June) and the Malvern Autumn Show (September). The town is the home of the Morgan car which makes this area popular with motoring enthusiasts. The Malvern Theatre welcomes productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company. The more energetic can try many outdoor activities including high ropes, climbing and abseiling. Fishing and river cruises are available nearby and there are National Trust properties, gardens and vineyards to visit in the area.
