    “This was our second stay here.”

    Location and homely feel are fantastic. Everything you need is available for a comfortable stay. Our only issue first time was that the shower wasn't great, and the shower pole/housing was poor. Our biggest issue this time was that the shower stopped working with 2 days remaining. Unfortunately, the owner was on holiday and the number that was left to report any issues failed to respond to our voice mail message. With four adults on site, we decided to leave early without shower facilities. This ...

    Location and homely feel are fantastic. Everything you need is available for a comfortable stay. Our only issue first time was that the shower wasn't great, and the shower pole/housing was poor. Our biggest issue this time was that the shower stopped working with 2 days remaining. Unfortunately, the owner was on holiday and the number that was left to report any issues failed to respond to our voice mail message. With four adults on site, we decided to leave early without shower facilities. This was a disappointing end to a wonderful break. Parking is also no longer available outside the property.

    I’m sorry that you experienced a fault with the shower and that the number left as back up in an emergency didn’t respond. Why do these things always seem to happen when a dedicated host (see other reviews)is away and has gone to a lot of trouble to ensure cover is available in their absence. I would point out however that the fault was a simple trip in the fuse box which is rectified by simply pushing the switch back up. In addition to the electric shower there is a mixer tap on the bath which also has a shower attachment so you are not without shower facilities. My wife went to great lengths to explain that the local council had withdrawn parking permits for visitors on this road and that there was alternative parking close by in addition to one hour parking outside the property.
