“From the moment we booked the owners, Richard & Susan, were fantastic.”

Within 24 hours we received a lovely welcoming email with lots of information and recommendation of things to do and places to eat. They also wanted more detail about our part and the children's ages, after which they provide more ideas for age appropriate activities. On arrival they greeted us and talked us through everything we needed to know. The accommodation itself was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. We are already planning our next stay!

Tree Tops is situated in the hamlet of East End, near North Leigh, Witney in Oxfordshire.

With no neighbours – apart from the owners of Whitehill House and the local wildlife, you can anticipate a welcoming peacefulness and calm when you arrive.

Sleeping a family or a group of four, with two additional fold-out beds, and offering a bubbling hot tub, Tree Tops is an ideal retreat for those looking to spend quality time together in the heart of rural Oxfordshire.

Access the property via a gravel driveway boasting ample off-road parking and safe storage for bikes.

Make your way through the front door and into a lobby, complete with a desk, superfast broadband and USB sockets should you need to work during your stay.

A handy cupboard holds everything you need for washing your holiday attire, including an ironing board, iron and clothes airers, and you will also find games, DVDs, a box of craft materials and books for quality-time relaxation.

Upstairs is an airy and bright open-plan living space, with a kitchen, dining and sitting area and velux windows; two plush sofas and a comfortable chair offer a home-from-home atmosphere, inviting you to relax in front of the Smart TV with DVD player.

The nominated chef amongst the group will find everything they may need to rustle up meals to rival Masterchef in the well-appointed kitchen!

Uncork a bottle of wine and sample those delights at the dining table, or outside on the veranda, looking out on the glorious view across the surrounding countryside; gaze as far as the eye can see and breathe in the fresh, clean air.

Bring your binoculars to spot the local wildlife; fallow and roe deer, muntjac, pheasants, partridges, rabbits, foxes, squirrels, red kite and buzzards all decorate the surrounding landscape.

Enjoy star-gazing at night whilst indulging in a soak in the hot tub, observing the glorious views of the night sky without surrounding light pollution, and feel at one with nature.

When sleep calls, catch your rest in one of two well-presented bedrooms, with the king-size offering two additional fold-down single beds and the twin offering flexible sleeping arrangements for families and friends sharing.

The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, giving you the choice between a relaxing hot bath or an invigorating shower.

With so much to see and do in the local area, you won't be short on activities to enjoy during your stay.

A must for your stay for adults and children alike is the historic and splendid World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, resting a 20 minutes car journey away.

Enjoy a full day’s entertainment here exploring the palace and vibrant gardens, including the Pleasure Gardens and the miniature railway; be sure to visit Bladon en-route, renowned as the burial place of Winston Churchill.

For a change of pace, catch the train from Long Hanborough railway station to the university city of Oxford city centre, offering both shopping and sightseeing opportunities, or jump in the car and journey to Bicester Village Designer Outlet Shopping Centre to indulge in a spot of retail therapy.

Witney is a quaint, market town offering a large range of shops, a multi-screen cinema and a weekly market stocking fresh, local produce, whilst closer to home, Long Hanborough has a Co-Op store with a Post Office inside as well as a fuel station.

The Oxford Bus and Morris Motors Museum is situated next to Long Hanborough Railway Station and offers a fun, historical outing for all ages.

A delightful day out can be had at Cogges Farm in Witney, exploring the medieval manor house and gardens, with an adventure playground sure to keep the little ones entertained; Downton Abbey enthusiasts will recognize this as Yew Tree Farm, the home of the Drewe family in Series 4 and 5 and then the home of Mr.

Mason in Series 6.
