“The cottage is well equipped and comfortable.”

Had a toilet upstairs in the main bedroom which is handy and the bathroom downstairs was clean and had more than adequate space. The bedrooms themselves are quite large, plenty of room to dress and undress with ample space for storage. A garden at the back of the property with somewhere to sit. The parking outside the cottage was a case of first come first served, but we had no problems parking. The cottage is situated along one of the streets leading to the main shops, maybe a 10 minute walk, ...

The bedrooms themselves are quite large, plenty of room to dress and undress with ample space for storage. A garden at the back of the property with somewhere to sit. The parking outside the cottage was a case of first come first served, but we had no problems parking. The cottage is situated along one of the streets leading to the main shops, maybe a 10 minute walk, which has everything you may need, food, pubs serving food, art and craft shops and Tourist information. All in all a very delightful village not far from many of the tourist attractions.

The property

The Thatched Cottage is a gorgeous and traditional Cotswold cottage that really fills the criteria of a 'Chocolate Box Cottage'.

Set moments from the very centre of Chipping Campden, this sweet Grade II Listed cottage dates from the 1600's and retains every ounce of character and charm!

The beamed ceilings, thick stone walls, oak panelling, flag stone floor and thatched roof are ample proof of the cottage's great age, whilst the accommodation has been furnished in sympathetic style to create a thoroughly welcoming, quality holiday cottage.

Previous guests love the cottage with a recent comment supporting this: 'Your Thatched Cottage was precisely the dream we were after...' An added attraction is the private back garden with small patio area adjacent to the cottage with patio furniture, and a larger patio area again with furniture and a barbeque, perfect for those long summer evenings.

We feel that this is a holiday cottage for those who like tradition and convenience.

An excellent character cottage.

About the location

CHIPPING CAMPDEN

Moreton-in-Marsh 8 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 12 miles

This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Nearby there are several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. For a dose of famous history, head to the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon just 12 short miles away, it offers some charming little buildings, bookshops, theatres and museums.
