There is so much to do and see if you like history, real ale, poetry, wine, nature, literature, architecture, independent shops, great food etc..... and we ended up in the midst of a poetry festival which was brilliant. The cottage is perfectly placed - just a few minutes walk from the station, 10 mins to a giant Tesco and 20 mins max into the centre of the small, medieval town with its black beamed architecture, fabulous coffee shops, local food, pubs and very friendly and helpful people. The cottage is perfectly placed - just a few minutes walk from the station, 10 mins to a giant Tesco and 20 mins max into the centre of the small, medieval town with its black beamed architecture, fabulous coffee shops, local food, pubs and very friendly and helpful people. We don't drive so it was perfect for us - as was the lovely local bus on the daffodil line which took us to lots of interesting places outside of the town - and which you just hailed from wherever you happened to be on the route! Even if it had rained it would have been great - but we got lovely sunny weather.
