Stratford upon Avon, Stratford Upon Avon & surrounding area
Rarely is it possible to stay in an historic and significant property, but One Masons' Court is just that - the oldest house in Stratford upon Avon. Dating back to the 15th Century this venerable and incredibly beautiful building is bang in the centre of one of England's most important (historically) towns. Located approx 1 min level walk from Stratford's High Street you are a heartbeat from the centre with plenty of things to do and keep you occupied. Step off the main street, through a private walkway and suddenly the town is behind you, and you enter a small courtyard shared with a few other historic homes, peace! Inside, it is meticulously presented - smart furnishings and colours mix well with incredible period features to create a light home ideal for families as much as couples. The kitchen has everything you need, should decide to 'stay in' and cook (why would you...?!). The cosy living area has seating for four people with a 42in wall mounted TV. Up the old stairs to two good sized bedrooms and a great, contemporary bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower - all with slick chrome fittings.
As "bolt-holes" go this is as good as we have EVER seen. History and fun await in this top-of-the range Stratford holiday home and we can't imagine staying in a hotel ever again!
Entrance through to open plan living space on the ground floor, packed with period features and quintessentially cosy.

When you come and stay in Stratford upon Avon it is easy to see why so many people come here and visit it again and again - it really is an English gem in every sense. And when you stay at Mason's Court, not only are staying WITHIN history you are surrounded by it everywhere you walk!
Naturally a visit to Stratford upon Avon is only complete when you hunt and find more about the English poet and playwright that makes it famous - William Shakespeare. Shakespeare's Birthplace allows you to visit the house where the world's most famous playwright was born and grew up to discover more about his early years. Other must see Shakespeare locations include Hall's Croft (home to William's daughter), Nash's House and New Place (the last chapter in his life), Anne Hathaway's cottage (a romantic setting) and Mary Arden's Farm (the childhood home of Shakespeare's mother)
Once you've digested a full diet of Shakespeare's history you can then look at and enjoy the many famous events, including Shakespeare's birthday celebrations, but there are many wide and varied events being staged throughout the year. Then there is the famous theatre The Royal Shakespeare Company - wow there is so much culture here you will have to return as it is nigh on impossible to fit it all in in just one visit!!
And then there's more??!! Yes: the shopping, the eating and hunting! Masons' Court is a 20 second stroll to Stratford's High Street, with a wide range of local, quality pubs, bars, restaurants, along with some quirky shops (along with the more normal high street chains of course). Fancy a walk along the river? Well yes you can do this too! In short, you can do as much or as little as you wish here and it is hard to imagine staying here just the once - it's fabulous, it's amazing! Stratford Town Centre hosts a diverse range of shops, restaurants and accommodation. The best of Stratford-upon-Avon can't be seen in a day so why not make a weekend of it. Beyond Stratford are the Cotswolds, which are within 15 mins drive or if you fancy a day out for the children we heartily recommend Warwick Castle, which is always a good day out.
