“We were not notified in advance about the extensive building work taking place, which resulted in very untidy and dusty surroundings, along with ongoing noise from machinery and vehicles.”

Additionally, we experienced several issues within the property: The fridge did not keep food properly chilled, even when set to level 5, which resulted in some of our food going off. Additionally, we experienced several issues within the property: The fridge did not keep food properly chilled, even when set to level 5, which resulted in some of our food going off. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. The bedding was mismatched and in different colours. The shower controls were very stiff to operate, and there was significant limescale on the shower head. The garden was very small and, due to the building work and hot weather, was not usable. The garden furniture also appeared in need of replacement. Furthermore, the noise from the builders and activity on-site unsettled our puppy dachshund, making it difficult for them to relax. Unfortunately, due to the constant drilling, lack of privacy, and overall disruption, we decided to cut our holiday short. We informed the owner that we would be leaving a day early as we were unhappy and upset, particularly as we had not been advised about the building work prior to arrival.
