Set across the first floor, this charming 18th century former cider mill provides spacious accommodation, ideal for a romantic getaway in a stunning part of the country.
Luxuriously-furnished throughout, this beautiful cottage boasts many original features, including window shutters and exposed beams, as well as an open plan living area comprising a stylish kitchen, dining area and a sumptuous sitting area with a warming woodburning stove, ideal for those chilly evenings.
Completing the accommodation is a superb bedroom with en-suite facilities, while to the front, a decked area with furniture is perfect for relaxing with a refreshing drink, or dining alfresco while taking in the peace and tranquility of the area and planning the next day’s activities.
From your luxury cottage, explore the village of Westhope with its lovely walks and birdwatching opportunities, with cycle routes and fishing nearby, along with the Offa's Dyke footpath a short drive away.
Nearby, you can visit Leominster, at the heart of the Black and White villages of North Herefordshire, full of antique and curiosity shops.

We had a wonderful stay … the hosts were so welcoming and friendly , Sue had even made us a wonderful Victoria sponge … and left us a loaf of bread and some butter .
There was even some sherry in the decanter . Bathrobes were also in the wardrobe . Fresh flowers on the table . All this in a beautiful cider mill . The garden are so pretty and well kept lovely to sit in or on the balcony . All in all a wonderful stay with luxury touches

We had a lovely stay at Cider Mill.
The setting was perfect- tranquil, with far reaching views and lotsofwild life activity. The accommodation was comfortable, and very well equipped for our self-catering stay. There are good walks nearby and lots to visit a little further afield. The hosts, Sue and David, were considerate and so welcoming. Thank you for the delicious cake, the flowers and your hospitality! The nearby pub, The Bell at Tillington, serves very good food. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

A delightful cottage for 2 ideally situated for exploration of Herefordshire, especially churches.
Amiable owners happy to oblige with any requests and to make recommendations for visits, eating out etc. Home made cake on arrival was an absolute delight - almost worth going back just for that!
The Cider Mill is a high quality, cosy and extremely comfortable holiday home, made even more wonderful by the warm hospitality of the owners, David and Sue, who are on hand to welcome you and make everything so lovely, thank you so much!

Could not fault anything about the cider mill.
This was our first time in a 1 bedroom property,but any worries about lack of space were quickly dispelled, as there is plenty of space for two Adults. Also recommend the grounds to stroll through.
This is a wonderful place, warm and comfortable, with all you need for a stay.
The surroundings are restful with sheep in the fields behind that you can go and walk among. Apple and pear trees are in the garden which we were welcome to pick from. The owners are delightful people, and David was so helpful to us when we had the crisis of car breakdown on the day before we were due to leave. Sue's cake to greet us on arrival was marvelous. One of the best places we have ever stayed - cannot recommend it highly enough. Ken and Helen Scott

David and Sue are fabulous hosts, they have thought of so many things to make staying there an absolute pleasure. We had a wonderful relaxing week and were sad to leave. We loved staying at the Cider Mill.
So many thoughtful and stylish touches, perfect size for two, lovely sitting out spaces, and the Kindest Hosts Ever. The cottage is pretty, clean, and welcoming, with lovely bedding and bath linens. The kitchen was very well equipped. Bed supremely comfortable, as is all the sitting area furniture. The setting is very peaceful, and well suited for walking, sightseeing, or lazing. I can’t say enough good things about Sue and David, who clearly enjoy hosting and making sure their guests are happy. All in all, The Cider Mill will be a very tough act ti follow.

A superb property in an idyllic setting overlooking fields and the owners beautifully maintained garden.
I received a very warm welcome from the owners friend Judith and was very grateful for the generous welcome bread, butter, milk and cake. As a lone traveller I felt very comfortable in the property which is ideally situated for a quiet relaxing break but close enough to some very interesting National Trust properties, gardens open to the public, the Antique shops of Leominster and the lovely town and Foodhall of Ludlow. I felt it was a property I would certainly like to visit again to be able to enjoy all of the sights the area offers and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Cider Mill. Special thanks to Sue and David for the farewell chat and coffee.

We just returned from a delightful stay at The Cider Mill, and can't stop smiling thinking about it!
From the moment we arrived, it felt like our own little slice of paradise. Walking through the door, we were greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The decor is charming and perfectly reflects the warmth of the countryside. We loved curling up in the spacious living room after our adventures, and the kitchen was a dream! It had everything we needed to whip up some hearty meals, and the lovely patio was great for soaking in the stunning views while sipping coffee. The location is just perfect. Tucked away in a peaceful spot, it felt like a true getaway, yet we were just a short drive from some fantastic local attractions. What really stood out to us was the hospitality. David and Sue went above and beyond to make our stay special, from thoughtful touches like fresh flowers to sharing their favourite local spots to visit. It really felt like they cared about making our experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a cozy and charming place to escape to, we can’t recommend The Cider Mill enough. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!
We had a fabulous stay at the Cider Mill at the start of December.
The cottage was perfect, very cosy and comfortable with everything we needed and in a lovely, quiet location with walks from the door. The hosts were the icing on the cake, so warm, welcoming and helpful. Absolutely recommended.

It was very warm and comfortable with all the equipment and facilities you could ever need. The owner, although not on site when we were there, couldn’t have been more caring. The welcome pack even contained a delicious homemade sponge cake. We are looking forward to visiting again and would highly recommend this property.

We have just returned from a week at the Cider Milland really enjoyed our stay in this delighful,peaceful,apartment set in beautiful surroundings in thepretty hamlet of Westhope.
The apartment has all the facilities needed,and more.For any one wanting a peacful break in beautiful surroundings(especially the Wisteria) then this is the place for them.Plenty of short walks nearby and Hereford only 6miles away is well worth a visitalong with the many quaint villages.Brian&Marg

Excellent accommodation, and facilities. The village of West Hope is very quiet, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Very relaxing, with sheep, rabbits, birds and pheasants in the fields in view.

The Cider Mill is beautiful presented, everything worked and nothing was spared making it a great place to stay.
We were lucky with the weather in the earlier part of the week and though the owners were away, they made sure we were comfortable supplying us with sun beds and the use of their lovely private garden. The area is hilly but in the village is a cider orchard with gentle walks through it but for the fitter it offers numerous walks without getting in the car to drive to. There is a library of possible walks catered for by the owners. Thank you for a great stay.

What a wonderful find this property was.
Fully equipped, welcome cake, bread and butter and milk, and hosts that made us feel like old friends. Great location for touring around, and even though it snowed for two days, we had lots to do in the Cider Mill. Everything was absolutely perfect! Sue and David should set up a training school for other property owners, as they have thought of absolutely everything you could possibly need in a beautiful home away from home. The Cider Mill is in a lovely spot, gorgeous view from the balcony, surrounded by beautiful gardens, so peaceful, could feel my shoulders drop the moment we arrived. The cherry on the top was the very thoughtful gluten free goodies Sue made for us and the excellent advice and info provided, as well as the complete privacy given to us during our stay. Couldn’t have asked for more, thank you so much Sue and David.

The Cider Mill is a wonderful location and experience.
Well done to Sue and David for maintaining the place to such a high standard. As a "get away from it all" location, it works beautifully and can enjoy sitting it the well kept gardens watching the sun set. Or walk from the front door to see rolling countrysides. The facilities and arrangement of the Cider Mill are excellent and feels like a 5 star experience. Definitely for grown up couples or pairs.

Susan and David met us and we had a lovely chat and settled us in really well. The facilities were of a very high standard, although (understandably) due to Covid protocol some of the board games had been removed which wasn't a problem. I have messaged them to thank them personally.

Whilst the weather was not brilliant the Cider Mill provided a cozy comfortable place to return to and relax each day. Facilities were of a very high standard and the Super King Size bed was extremely comfortable.
The Cider Mill is an absolutely stunning property - beautifully furnished and set up as a home, not just a holiday let.
Every little detail has been considered - I brought along quite a few things I have found missing from holiday properties in the past, and all stayed unpacked! The owners, Susan and David, are really lovely people who genuinely care about their guests. We were also pleasantly surprised both by how lovely the surrounding countryside is and by how much there is to do in the area. We may well return!

The only drawback then is that you feel you need to come up with some different way of paying the same sort of compliments and giving the same sort of accolade. In every respect, for every aspect, I would give Susan and David at least a 100% rating. They are an extremely genuine, welcoming, friendly, helpful and hospitable couple. A really beautiful place to stay with real home from home comfort.
We can highly recommend the cider barn as a place to escape to, it is in a great location to explore the area but has everything you need to be comfortable if you just want to cosy in. The owner is very welcoming and helpful without any invasion of privacy and communication was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and couldn't find anything that could be improved.

Having the gym was a added bonus particularly as we were there during storm Ciara so were housebound that day!! Sue and David couldn't have been more welcoming making us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Although situated in the secluded village of Westhope, the main roads are within easy reach.
The cottage is quiet and restful and the hosts, Susan and David are charming. There are many walks around the countryside if you don't care for driving. A place one may want to visit again and again.

The Cider Mill was perfect - a little tranquil bit of heaven - modern and tastefully furnished accommodation, very comfy bed, lovely clean walk-in shower, a gym, sheep in the field outside, bird-song, wisteria, beautiful garden, and on top of all that - fantastic Wi-Fi connection.
This is the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in, and the hosts are lovely. A good place to get away from it all. We will be going again.
