Singletree Cottage

We had a lovely holiday.

It’s out of the way and very peaceful. The accommodation is a fairly new property which is very clean and comfortable. The shower is exceptional. The two chairs in the living area, although a good idea, can be a problem with anyone who has any mobility issues, as they are quite low and deep. My partner who has a hip problem was unable to use them! Although the property was wonderful, its immediate surroundings were untidy. I know it’s a working farm but a little tidy up wouldn’t go amiss. For example, to open the bar gate to the yard you had to trample through overgrown grass and stingers. The owner Tricia was very helpful and accommodating and soon sorted a couple of minor issues we had. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Comfortable and well designed small barn conversion in a rural location.

Bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. The welcome gifts of free range eggs, milk and dog treats were gratefully received. I would be delighted to stay here again

A great cottage, the owner was very welcoming, the added welcome basket with treats was a lovely touch !

It is beautifully kept, the outside space is also beautiful especially if going in the warmer months, but we enjoyed seeing the beautiful view and animals from the window even in the cold weather. Great location (especially for longleat just 20 mins away) the owners had thought of everything and so much more was supplied than other places I have been too. My only niggle was the tv is very small for the place, and if it was warm weather we wouldn't of been bothered as much but in the cold winter months we would of preferred a larger tv to watch films on, it was a smart tv though meaning we had netflix etc. Which was a great bonus ! Wifi was brilliant too. We will be back !!

A lovely home from home.

Our for legged babies enjoyed the rear patio. Tricia was very welcoming and helpful. Welcome box was a lovely treat for us and our dogs. Look forward to coming back.

The cottage was everything we expected.

It was clean and comfortable and felt very spacious. Bifold doors opening on to enclosed patio with wonderful view. Tricia was a great host. Always on hand but never intrusive. Hope to return in the near future.

I had a fantastic stay.

The accommodation was well presented with good quality fittings and fixtures. The kitchen area was well equipped and extremely clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the linen crisp and fresh. The bathroom was well appointed and spacious. The surroundings and the accommodation were very dog friendly and quiet. The location was perfect for visiting NT properties and the coast. I would definitely stay again. The welcome pack was such a kind thought and greatly appreciated. A true 5 star experience.

Perfect location for visiting a number of National Trust properties. The owner was friendly and helpful and there was a generous welcome pack on arrival. We also enjoyed the local walks in and around Mere and The Walnut Tree served great pub grub.
