    “A great cottage, the owner was very welcoming, the added welcome basket with treats was a lovely touch !”

    It is beautifully kept, the outside space is also beautiful especially if going in the warmer months, but we enjoyed seeing the beautiful view and animals from the window even in the cold weather. Great location (especially for longleat just 20 mins away) the owners had thought of everything and so much more was supplied than other places I have been too. My only niggle was the tv is very small for the place, and if it was warm weather we wouldn't of been bothered as much but in the cold winter ...

Wifi was brilliant too. We will be back !!

A delightful country town of old stone cottages set in a stunning conservation area, on the borders of Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset. This small, lively community is well served by a good variety of local shops and ancient inns, with much of the area to the north of the town designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ideal for walking and taking in the breathtaking views, the town is also well placed for exploring numerous National Trust attractions and historic houses. A visit to stunning Stourhead House and gardens, only 2 miles away, is not to be missed, while Longleat House and the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury featured in the Hovis adverts, are also close by. Stonehenge, Wilton House, Salisbury and the Dorset coast are all easily accessible by car, providing much to see and do for a variety of tastes.
