“Had a lovely birthday weekend with the family in this beautiful house.”

Ages from 2 to 65 , plus one large dog. There were some issues that we did encounter, some should be mentioned in the listing. The house is in a flood area, it does have its own defences, cars would have to be moved, something to consider especially in the winter. There is no telephone signal in most of the house, was a problem when the Tesco delivery driver couldn’t find us. The hot water is solar powered, if there are 8 people showering each day the water needs boosting, we didn’t find ...

The house is in a flood area, it does have its own defences, cars would have to be moved, something to consider especially in the winter. There is no telephone signal in most of the house, was a problem when the Tesco delivery driver couldn’t find us. The hot water is solar powered, if there are 8 people showering each day the water needs boosting, we didn’t find this out until we went to have showers that were cold. The company looking after the house had left food that had gone mouldy in the cupboards and had not restocked wood, kindling etc for the hot tub. The owners responded to our messages very quickly and sent a generous refund for the wood etc. We had not used a wood fired hot tub before, unfortunately after 6 hours of firing on the Saturday afternoon the water was still only lukewarm. This meant we never got to use the hot tub which was a real disappointment.
