    “Was made very welcome to the cottage by the owner.”

    There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, including milk, tea, chocolate cookies and a nice white wine, thank you. We did enjoy our stay very much, the view from the patio is lovely, a real little sun trap. Only criticism, the seats on the red sofa in lounge could do with being reupholstered. It’s not very comfortable as the seats are quite flattened. Easily remedied. Kitchen is very well equipped with lovely crockery & cutlery but only thing I’d say it needs is more oven trays and some ...

A delightful, semi-detached cottage attached to the owner's home, in the scattered village of Stoke Prior, near Leominster surrounded by unspoilt Herefordshire countryside.

Enter the cottage into a hallway which leads to a light, airy and very well-equipped kitchen/diner, through which you can find a cosy sitting room complete with sumptuous sofas, ideal for relaxing after a day walking the Herefordshire hills.

The staircase from the hall leads to two lovely first floor bedrooms, both with the added benefit of en-suite facilities with the front bedroom enjoying long-distant views.

Doors from the kitchen take you to the front patio where you can enjoy alfresco dining on a summer's evening, relax with a good book and take in the beautiful countryside views.

Walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep of the cottage, with The Three Rivers Ride and Herefordshire Trail both close.

The market town of Leominster is a short drive away, and is ideal for enjoying a relaxing stroll and stopping for a bite to eat in one of its cafés or pubs.

Why not visit the nearby village of Monkland with its artisan cheese dairy, Hereford with its Mappa Mundi world map or the pretty market town of Ludlow?

Hereford 12 miles; Ludlow 12 miles.

Leominster is located in the heart of the beautiful border countryside, where England and Wales nudge each other along Offa’s Dyke. Dating back to the 7th Century, the town of Leominster possesses some fine examples of architecture such as the Priory Church, along with a wide variety of shops, cafes and pubs, and is the ideal place in which to spend a lazy afternoon strolling around in pleasant surroundings. Nearby is the smaller market town of Tenbury Wells situated on the banks of the River Teme. Dating back to the Iron Age and said to have been called 'my little town in the orchard' by Queen Victoria, Tenbury Wells boasts a unique 18th century bridge built by Thomas Telford, the magnificent Pump Rooms, which housed baths where local mineral water was available, and many other listed buildings dating back to the 17th century. Close by are many National Trust properties including Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, plus the Judge's Lodgings in Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, the renowned Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm are well worth a visit. The pretty medieval market town of Ludlow makes a great day out, with more than 500 listed buildings and a magnificent castle, and also within easy reach are Ironbridge and Hay-on-Wye. The magnificent Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons National Park and stunning Malvern Hills also make a great day out.
