“We had a wonderful stay at The Old Vicarage.”

The property is stunning, with highlights being the beautiful wood burner in the main lounge, the bathrooms, the comfortable beds and the amount of space provided within the house. The toiletries provided and the welcome pack were also a lovely touch. Cooking for 12 people on an Aga was also an experience! We had an issue with the heating on the first night, but within half an hour of me ringing the following morning, a plumber came round and fixed the problem. The location is excellent for ...

The location is excellent for exploring the local area, with nice market towns like Ludlow, Leominster, Tenbury Wells and a lovely Arboretum not far from the property.

“We had a very enjoyable stay at the Old Vicarage and we would be happy to stay there again however had 14 people been in party, the dining room and lounge would be too small to accommodate everyone.”

The kitchen lacks flow and there is a mismatch of glasses, plates and cutlery. The AGA does pose a challenge when cooking for large numbers as it has only 2 small ovens. In addition, it does however have an a microwave and air fryer. The welcome pack was a nice touch

“Had a lovely stay at the old vicarage for a family gathering.”

The building is impressive set in beautiful surroundings. Rooms were massive and generally well equipped. We felt that a few things could be improved however; The kitchen was a little chaotic with stuff all over the place, it really could do with a bit of a sort out and perhaps investment in new plates, matching mugs etc. The water pressure in the showers is poor and although the house was stunning there were a few bits that were unfinished/in need of some attention, wall next to the stairs and a few licks of paint here and there. The pull out bed had no bedding?! Fortunately we had a blanket with us so my son was able to use it but that was a bit of a let down. That said, for the price, location and what we got we were really pleased and would recommend this property to others

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Vicarage.”

The location and surrounding countryside is lovely. Close to Ludlow which is definitely worth a visit. We also had lunch at The Balance Inn (10 minute drive away) which we would highly recommend. The house is really big and spacious and we felt like the pictures didn’t do it justice! Great for little kids too because of the big enclosed garden and play area. Comfy beds and luxurious bathrooms. The house was clean and well maintained. It felt like a home away from home. 4 stars because the kitchen was not the best equipped kitchen that we’ve stayed in but we made do. Also the aga - although lovely - was running very hot which made cooking a bit of a challenge. Luckily a few in our party are accustomed to cooking on an aga but I can imagine that if you’re not you could run into issues!

Thank you for your review. The kitchen is fully stocked, sorry you couldn’t locate what you needed. The aga is 1950’s engineering so does require some different techniques, but nothing too testing just close attention as you cook. Property Owner

Hereford 12 miles; Ludlow 12 miles.

Leominster is located in the heart of the beautiful border countryside, where England and Wales nudge each other along Offa’s Dyke. Dating back to the 7th Century, the town of Leominster possesses some fine examples of architecture such as the Priory Church, along with a wide variety of shops, cafes and pubs, and is the ideal place in which to spend a lazy afternoon strolling around in pleasant surroundings.
