“This property has so much potential.”

It has lovely rooms with loads of space and can comfortably accommodate 10+ people. It's in a great location near the A40 but not too near. There's a pub across the road with good food and real ale and a cafe/deli directly adjacent which also does great food. It's dog friendly although our dog struggled on the wooden floors. However, there are a few areas for improvement - firstly, the cleaning wasn't quite up to scratch. In particular the dining table was sticky when we arrived. Secondly, there isn't enough equipment (plates, glasses etc) for the number of folk that could be accommodated. Also, the washing machine is way too small for the size of property and there is no clothes line or dryer to get things dried. We also felt that the property could do with some books and/or board games. Finally, some decent patio furniture would be welcome - the wooden bench tables are fine but not particularly comfortable if you want to sit for any period of time. We enjoyed our stay and with some small improvements, Lady of Lourdes could be a standout holiday home.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding your remaining feedback, please see below for my responses. 1. The cleanliness of the property, - I would normally inspect the property prior to each guest stay so I can only apologise that the table was not completely clean, I have spoken with my cleaners about this to ensure that this does not reoccur. 2. Equipment - I will check the property when the current guests leave to ensure that there is sufficient plates etc. as there were sufficient plates when I last checked, however I just need to make sure that some plates and glasses have not been broken by previous guests. 3. The washing machine is a standard family washing machine that most houses would have installed and I think that this should be sufficient for short stays, however I'm sorry if this was not suitable for your requirements. Regarding the dryer, there is a fully working tumble dryer right next to the washing machine so you might have missed this? 4. Board games and books - Whilst there are a few books at the property, I will now look to get some board games in the property for future visits. 5. Patio furniture - I did decide to have two picnic benches put in the garden as these are highly durable and should suit most occasions when guests are making the most of the outdoor space, however I'm am sorry that you did not find these comfortable. Hopefully these small issues will not prevent you from booking again in the future. Thanks, Paul Property Owner
