    “We've just enjoyed a fabulous week's stay at the mallard.”

    The lodge was spotless on arrival! With lovely helpful touches like tea and coffee to get you started, snacks, washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels. Not to mention a toilet roll in each bathroom! Luxury! The onsite facilities were also top notch! The lakeside bar was only open on our first night but staff were extremely friendly and super helpful. We would have been back every night if it was open (only open Fri/sat/sun outside local school holidays). Our son loved the two play areas as ...

My husband was gutted he'd not brought his clubs for the golf! It looked great! All round a lovely stay which we would highly recommend! Can't wait to return!

SHOBDON

Hereford 17 miles; Leominster 6 miles.

The pleasant village of Shobdon lies between the historic market towns of Leominster and Presteigne, and is surrounded by beautiful Herefordshire countryside, close to the Welsh borderlands. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, Shobdon has a village shop, an excellent pub/restaurant, and even a private airfield, providing a rare opportunity to learn how to fly helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Leominster, dating back to the 7th century possesses some fine examples of architecture including the Priory Church, along with a wide selection of shops, cafes, antiques centres and pubs - an ideal place to spend an afternoon.
