    “Sunnyside is a fantastic house, with lovely views and nice walks around the common.”

    The road up to the cottage is bumpy as stated, but you get used to it. The house is home from home and has a relaxing feel to it, great to sit out on the decking area and listen to the birds singing and watch the sunset with a glass of fizz in your hand. Sheep and pigs do walk pass the cottage, so always make sure the gate is doubled locked. Plenty of places to visit. Yarpole the bell community pub is very friendly and nice food. Also the community shop in Yarpole is well stocked and the ...

The marvellous detached house of Sunnyside rests in Bircher Common near Yarpole, Herefordshire.

Surrounded by a quaint vista in the popular Bircher Common's grounds, with easy access to Croft Castle and its Parkland, Sunnyside is a peaceful location for a group of six seeking a countryside getaway.

After spotting the sheep who have made the common their home and parking in the two handy off-road spaces, be dazzled by your home-from-homes contemporary exterior.

Make your way up the external steps onto the terrace and enjoy a well-earned rest on the fabulous sofas; the terrace's elevated position really highlights those panoramic views of Herefordshire's greenery.

The house retains a light and fresh feel which you'll immediately notice as you enter the open-plan living space, with its ample windows and neutral tones.

The sitting area is the perfect spot for relaxation, stretch out on the plush sofa as you watch a family-favourite on the TV.

Sunnyside is not only home to one sitting area, but it is home to two, with an extra sitting room situated next door, featuring a woodburning stove, a large deep set velvet sofa, an original inglenook, TV and vibrant accents.

When it's time to cook, continue to the kitchen, a sleek space with impressive wooden worktops and integrated appliances; the space is additionally served by a dishwasher, making cleaning up a breeze!

The dining table is a wonderful socialising spot, with cream, faux leather seats for all the family.

In the evening, venture upstairs to a stylish first-floor, with deep pile grey carpets and glass doors for each room; here is where you can find three bedrooms.

The first bedroom is a magnificent super-king-size that benefits from bi-folding doors that lead to a spacious balcony, where the morning people of the group can enjoy a coffee or a yoga session as the sun rises!

Further along the corridor is an elegant double room that boasts a velvet bed for that luxurious feel, continue to find an adult bunk bed that can sleep the kids or extra group members!

Two fabulous bathrooms can also be found on the first-floor, one containing a double walk-in shower and the other showcasing a roll-top bath.

The outdoor spaces truly compliment the property, with a large front lawn for the kids to play to their heart's content in, as well as a lower-ground-floor side patio where you can relish some peace and quiet on the seating.

Be sure to make the most of Sunnyside's location and venture through the esteemed Croft Castle and its Parkland; not only is the manor house home to remarkable interiors and grounds, but it features a play area for children.

Just over a mile away lies the village of Yarpole, where you can access your amenities; pick up your necessities from the village shop before relishing great quality food and beer at The Bell.

Take the family for an outing in Leominster and learn of the town's links to the Great War in the Leominster Museum, view the ancient Leominster Priory Church, before touring the glorious Hampton Court Castle.

The historic market town of Ludlow is a superb day out, foodies will be delighted by the famed Ludlow Food Festival, while nature enthusiasts can hike to the Whitcliffe Common Nature Reserve or wander through the extensive Mortimer Forest.
