“Our short stay was fine but a few things which maybe helpful to consider for other clients include; not enough kitchen ware, drain smell in loo (pretty constant) and in the bedroom above.”

Also a quick greeting from the owners (within sight upon arrival) would have been expected.

Nearest pub was about a 35 minute walk and nearest half decent shop was about 5/10 minute drive. Overall beautiful place and owner was pleasant and welcoming

“A fab stay in a wonderful part of the world!”

The cottage was well located for exploring the area and within walking distance to one of the region's best restaurants. Sandra the owner was so welcoming as was Gillbert, the world's happiest dog! Plenty of space for the kids to run free. The living area was light and functional with good power shower. Comfy beds and bed linen. A winner of a holiday. The memory lives on as we're enjoying fresh eggs from the owner's farm for our post holiday breakfast.

“We had a fantastic time at Tippets view.”

Sandra was an excellent host and the kids absolutely adored Gilbert the dog. The house was extremely comfortable and we were able to get to all of our desired locations within an hour or so. The only minor piece of improvement I could offer would be to add a few more household utensils to the kitchen, i.e. vegetable peeler, cheese grater etc. We had a really fantastic week and loved coming back to the house each day. We would most definitely recommend this to others.

“The hosts are lovely and welcoming while giving their guests plenty of space (the sheep and the dogs were a real plus!”

). The accommodation was compact but airy with a lot of thought put in to the layout and needs of the guests. A really nice stay in a lovely neck of the woods. Would definitely stay again.

“Lovely location with pleasant walks.”

The village was delightful and the children loved the animals because the property was on a working farm. A welcoming feeling when we arrived late in the evening - lights on, warm, plate of cakes and teabags. The cottage had a very cosy atmosphere combining the ancient building with it's oak beams and high ceilings, with all the modern amenities. Although the season didn't lend itself to sitting out, the private garden was ideal for a family barbeque and the children playing out.

A 16th century semi-detached barn conversion, offering character beams and wall timbers and an open plan living space.

A spiral staircase and gallery lead to a double and single bedroom whilst level access and a downstairs bedroom make the cottage suitable for people with mobility difficulties.

This cottage can be booked with Refs 2215, 2216 and 3806 to accommodate up to 22 people.

Luntley Court Farm Cottages

Four beautiful Luntley cottages, tastefully converted from sixteenth century farm buildings, located on a working sheep and cattle farm in the rural hamlet of Luntley. Close by is the medieval half-timbered village of Pembridge, with its wonderful Black and White buildings, pubs and ancient market hall. All these welcoming Luntley cottages retain a wealth of original features, such as exposed oak beams, trusses and wall timbers which are combined with modern facilities to create charming, quality holiday accommodation in a lovely countryside location. These four Luntley cottages can be booked individually, or when booked together they sleep up to 23 people, ideal for that special celebration. As well as private gardens to each cottage, there is a half-acre paddock for children to play.

LUNTLEY

Pembridge 2 miles; Hay-on-Wye 20 miles; Ludlow 20 miles.

The tiny rural hamlet of Luntley is situated in the rolling hills of North Herefordshire, in the heart of the Welsh Marches, between Ludlow and Hay-on-Wye. Just 2 miles away is the medieval village of Pembridge, known as the “Jewel in the Crown” of the famous “Black & White Village Trail.” With its half-timbered houses, three excellent “olde worlde” pubs, a 14th century market hall and a church with a unique detached bell tower, this wonderful village is a delight to visit. The surrounding countryside is both beautiful and tranquil and offers excellent walking, cycling, riding and fishing. Further afield, but still within easy reach, are the ancient city of Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, medieval Ludlow, the wonderful Shropshire Hills, the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park.
