The Tree House

Tucked away within 30 acres of historic oak woodland on May Hill Farm, The Tree House offers a one-of-a-kind retreat for those seeking tranquillity and a true connection with nature, near the Gloucestershire village of Longhope. This minimalist timber structure is designed for simplicity, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that frame sweeping woodland views and provide the perfect vantage point for spotting deer and other wildlife. Inside, the open space includes a double sofa bed and a single sofa bed, creating a sleeping area that blends harmoniously with its natural surroundings. Step onto either the front or rear balcony to savour the peaceful atmosphere and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the forest. Shared facilities include an external shower room, a rustic kitchen, and a communal dining and sitting area warmed by a woodburning stove - ideal for relaxed evenings after a day outdoors.

Beyond the treehouse, explore winding woodland trails or gather around the firepit for alfresco cooking under the stars. With no WiFi and only birdsong for company, this is the ultimate digital detox. The nearby village of Longhope offers local amenities, while the surrounding Gloucestershire countryside boasts scenic walking and riding routes across the Wye Valley National Landscape and Cotswolds AONB, along with historic castles and stately homes. Whether you’re unwinding on the balcony or venturing out to discover Herefordshire’s untouched beauty, The Tree House promises an unforgettable back-to-nature experience.
