Amazing View

Had a wonderful stay at Amazing View.

Ideally placed for town and the hills. The flat was really clean and more spacious than anticipated. James was the perfect host.

There was building rubbish at entrance to main house adjoining the flat, as builders working there and staying overnight.

They were still working/banging at 10pm Friday night and again at 8.15 on Saturday morning. Entrance to flat very steep, over 30 steps, and overgrown. Very steep unsafe garden. No instructions re appliances. Light bulbs missing. Key sometimes stuck in lock. TV not working properly. Guidelines in flat said in event of problems go to main house. This didn't work as owners not in residence, and builders foreign and unable to help. Phoned owner, who was in Korea, he was also unable to help. The only 'Amazing View' was from one bedroom window! No welcome pack or basics. All in all, a very disappointing stay which was also very overpriced. Not a good example for Sykes Cottages.

Had a lovely stay, the flat is in a perfect location and the access from the back garden was brilliant.

Views are amazing. The steps up to the front door are fine, parking great and we had everything we needed. The TV didn’t work and although we called both owners, it went to voicemail so we didn’t use the TV but no drama. Bathroom and bedrooms fan, kitchen was well enough equipped, lots of spiderwebs (the terrain). The garden was very overgrown especially around the back porch, there were also carpet grippers with big nails left on the main garden path and various other items from what appeared to be a renovation. We did not feel we could sit outside to eat or enjoy a drink fully but would give the benefit of the doubt that it was purely the timing, building work in the house and just was due a garden tidy. The area is very wooded and extremely sloping so must be hard. All in all I’d go again as the place and position is perfect, it’s quiet and very pretty and was priced at £350 for 3 nights so good value.

Great place to stay and the views live up to its name, truly amazing!

This is superb accommodation if you are visiting the Malvern Hills for walking (or anything else).

We loved the access from the back garden gate, which was only a few yards along a very quiet road to the start of the trails. Perfect. The flat feels very spacious, much bigger than whole houses we have stayed in in Malvern. Everything is very comfortable. Despite temperatures being sub zero for much of our holiday the flat was always warm enough. Yes, the stairs up to the flat are steep, as are the ones to the back gate, a good warm-up for the hills. James is an excellent host. There if you need him but invisible if you don't. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

James was a wonderful host who was quick to respond to any issues that arose.

Spacious accommodation that ticked all boxes although some parts felt a little tired; kitchen cabinets and bathroom.

Furniture in bedrooms a little ropey.

Lovely flat, had all the facilities we needed and they aren't joking about the amazing views.

Great for walks and not too far from some pubs. Wyches Inn is up the 250 odd Pixie steps but the Railway Inn is a gentler walk. Both do good food. It's 30-40 min walk into Great Malvern.

The property owner is first class very responsive and helpful made our stay a pleasure , the property itself has all your needs covered, is very spacious with as it says an amazing view ….

The apartment was superb value.

All facilities were excellent, the beds very comfortable and the space was superb. There were good local amenities close by and everything we could have needed for a self catering stay. And as the property says, amazing views from the lovely garden.
