We found this cottage to be absolutely fabulous very clean and tidy with everything you needed.

Excellent views over the river and great for watching the wildlife. Wendy and david were very welcoming and helpful and we will be back very soon we highley recommend it

David and Wendy were excellent hosts, welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The accommodation was cozy and well equipped and the garden and river views were superb. Looking forward to returning.

We have just recently returned from a wonderful week at Severn Bank Lodge.

This accomodation is really lovely, cosy and comfortable, it is well equipped and there really isnt anything that the owners havent thought about regarding making this place homely.It is also spotlessly clean and a real credit to the owners obvious high standards. I am 6ft3inches tall and there are some low beams to be aware of but that just adds to the cottagy feel of the lodge and certainly wouldnt stop me from returning which we both hope to do at the earliest opportunity. The wifi as mentioned in other reviews isnt great but for me it was a blessing that allowed us to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lodge without too much distraction. The gardens and river frontage are beautiful even at this time of year and if you like fishing, as i do, then its the perfect place to be, everything swims in the Severn. To finish, it has to be said that the owners are lovely people, very helpful without being intrusive , we really enjoyed meeting them both and look forward to seeing them on our return one day. Thanks again David and Wendy for a lovely stay!

This was our third stay and that says it at.

Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely gardens. Plus the added bonus of fishing for the elusive barbel on site. A secure lockable tackle store with bait fridge. We love visiting here as does our little dog. Nice owners on site. A few things that might be of interest if you are thinking of booking. Very minor but they might be important but didn't pose any problems to us. Internet access is patchy. Most of the time it was ok but the signal sometimes dipped to zero but it didn't bother us. The property has a lot of steps down to it.If you have limited mobility you would possibly struggle. If you are tall, I'm 6'3", there are some low beams. Due to being in a valley and surrounded by trees the phone signal is very variable. But I personally loved this- no one disturbed me!! All in all a lovely place to stay and chill out. Plus there's a pub selling great beer a 2 minute stroll away! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage. We love it!

My favourite place for a UK river fishing holiday, been there 3 times now.

We just enjoy the peace & quite late at night when we fish out on the deck. Lovely hosts, great accommodation & location. My only gripe is that it's very popular & hard to get a booking during the start of the fishing season & autumn but we'll persist & definitely be back ASAP :)

A little gem right on the banks of the River Severn.

Stunning gardens, beautifully looked after by the owners….who couldn’t have been better neighbours, never obtrusive but on hand if we needed anything. Dave even gave us a trip down the river on his boat! Happily recommend

Astley Burf is a small village and people are so friendly. Our hosts were very kind and very helpful ensuring we had everything we needed. I fully recommend them and their cottage.

From start to finish our week at Severn Bank Lodge was brilliant, great communication from Wendy and a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and always happy to help with anything.

The lodge itself has absolutely everything you need and was amazing and all the extras found in the lodge made it a home from home, especially the chocolate cake!! couldn't ask for more, would we return again.....already booked, thanks Wendy and David looking forward to seeing you both next year

Just back from a great stay at Severn bank lodge the host Wendy and David were most welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

once down the few steps to the property everything is on the one level and the gardens are beautiful and very well kept. even the fishing was better than expected would recommend this property to anyone who wants a very quite and peaceful break

We had a lovely stay at Severn Bank Lodge.

Our family consisted of 3 adults and 1 dog and it was the perfect base for our visit to see family and friends. From the start we were met by Wendy who had put the heating and the fire in for us to give us a lovely warm welcome as we arrived in sub zero temperatures ! The beds are lovely and comfy and the kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you would need if you wanted to self cater, even a slow cooker ! TV had all the usual streaming services and Wi-Fi in the property is good. The owners are on hand for any issues and help, they went to the next level helping us with our dog

This is an amazing comfortable self catering Very friendly and helpful couple.

Pub is only 500yards walk away. If your over 5ft 8 there are 2 low beams. I'll be back again A great little gem

Our hosts are friendly helpful & welcoming. The accommodation totally meets our requirements & is well equipped for self catering. The gardens are immaculate & we ate out side most of the time with the beautiful views of river. Perfect place for fishing, totally private with a large pontoon to fish from. We'll be back as soon as I can fit in a suitable date.

Stunning garden overlooking the river and lovely visits from the local ducks!

Owners were very kind and helpful. Downside was that my husband did bang his head a lot on the low beams so not so great for tall people but overall, we had a fabulous stay - thanks so much

What a perfect place to stay!

. Both cottage and location are ideal to relax and unwind. Lovely welcome from Wendy and David. Very friendly and helpful owners. Hampstall Inn was also great for food and meeting the locals. We can see why it is booked up! Hope to return as soon as possible.

Severn Bank Lodge is in a fantastic location on the bank of the river Severn and has a lovely enclosed garden with a summer house.

The cottage was very clean and well looked after. However, the property has 2 very low beams - one in the kitchen and one in the lounge. My partner and I hit our heads so many times on the beams that I couldn't recommend staying here for anyone taller than about 5ft 6".

We thoroughly enjoyed this property for its comfort and location .

It was so quiet that our dog didn't bark all week! The kitchen was very well equipped, it was great to have a smart TV with Amazon and Netflix as the weather was poor. Single beds were very comfortable and being ultra dark was a bonus. Very warm and cozy with lots of hot water. Lovely private well maintained garden and brilliant fishing spot. Good secure outside tackle storage and fridge. So nice we have booked it again. One tiny point is that if you have bad knees you might struggle to use the stairs down to the property. .

What a lovely holiday home in a lovely location.

David and Wendy brilliant hosts. David not only took us into Bewdley he also took us for an hour long trip along the river in his boat. We are 75 and 79 and found everything was easy and the tackle room and fridge excellent. Just a pity it is so popular as it is booked up when we can next go!

the hosts Wendy and David welcomed us early on a very hot Saturday and could not do more to to make us comfortable.

David and Wendy were the perfect hosts.

We were welcomed with a full tour of the property and we found milk,wine,a lovely cake and a big bag of haribo’s for our 11yr old grandson who came on holiday with us. I happened to mention about fishing on the river in a post holiday telephone call and when we arrived there were 2 rods and a tub of maggots waiting for us. On the last evening we were invited out onto the river in their boat where our Grandson took the tiller for an hour. All in all a wonderful holiday in a wonderful location. Thank you both(David & Wendy) for those little extras’s which you didn’t have to do but in doing so made everything simply perfect

Great position at the side of the river Severn, and the recently reopened Hampstall Inn was good for food and drink. A nice place for a couple to explore the local area.

Charming property in an idyllic location.

Excellent walking for the dog directly from the property. Wendy and Dave are excellent hosts.

We were between house moves, so a longer stay.

Wendy and Dave were supportive, but not intrusive.All facilities clean and as described enabling us to be self sufficient for our stay.Plenty of local dog walks, the local pub restaurant now reopened, a shop at Astley, and all facilities at nearby Stourport. We are returning in a couple of weeks as, unsurprisingly, the lodge has returning clients.

Awaiting completion of our new house, this was one of a number of cottages for the interim.

A superb location directly overlooking the River Severn.Completely self contained, Wendy and Dave were very supportive, but never intrusive. Very well equipped, and with its own garden area for the dog and us.Near to a range of good dog walks and a local pub, with Stourport just a few miles away. Good Wi-Fi, but no mobile phone signal in the property. We would have been delighted to have block booked this for our entire stay, but, unsurprisingly, repeat bookings were in place for regulars.A home within a home. We are to return soon for our next stay, but were very lucky to spot this property.

Lovely property set in an alongside the river, We stayed with our dogs, and each morning went off on walks down the river, and across the fields Great hosts, and would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and cosy cottage with a great location by the river.

We were warmly welcomed by the owners who kindly left us milk, wine and a lovely cake. For those wishing to fish the owners provided use of their workshop which was great for tackle storage and even had a bait fridge. The pub at the end of the road provides excellent food at reasonable prices. For those considering a walk into Stourport it is not a riverside walk one should attempt as the river bank is completely overgrown with vegetation.

Superb cottage spotlessly clean and well equipped with lovely gardens down to the river very nice owners who live next door but do not bother you unless you need anything Only slight problem if you are over 5ft 8in you have to be very careful of the low beams

The friendly owners of this property have made every effort to make sure everything is as it needs to be in the current situation.

Seven Bank Lodge allows you to remain completely on your own without the need to go anywhere else if you don't want to. If you do want to venture out there are plenty of local walks to keep you occupied for a week and when we did them we met very few people. There are a few National Trust properties within a short car drive and all have excellent walking opportunities. You can fish the River Severn from the garden but best done after the locks on The Severn close at 7.00pm.

Lovely hosts who provided thoughtful touches and we’re happy to meet our request for some flour.

The cottage was very cosy, peaceful. And had everything we needled. It’s in a wonderful location- pub is opposite and the locals were very friendly. I would happily recommend Wendy and David’s lodge to anyone.

Severn BankLodge is the perfect hideaway on the banks of the river Severn.

It is very well equipped and immaculately clean and well cared for. The owners David and Wendy were welcoming and extremely helpful, going well beyond the call of duty. What a lovely couple.. The hidden extra's of beautiful flowers,wine and cake were very much appreciated. The garden was delightful, it was so pleasant to sit and relax in. Unfortunately,because we are both in our mid seventies and not too steady on our feet, the steps down from the garden to the fishing area were very tricky ,especially as there was no hand rail. Other than this the property was PERFECT.

Dave and Wendy were very welcoming, the cottage and gardens were beautiful I would highly recommend.

The Cottage in this quiet Village is exquisite.

Everything as been considered for the comfort and enjoyment of the guests by the Owners David & Wendy. There is fishing right at the end of the lovely garden. Nearby Shrawley Woods is beautiful to enjoy walking the dog. We were so impressed, that we rebooked straight away. We would also like to thank Wendy & David for the lovely welcoming 'treat' on our arrival. Peaceful, cosy, beautiful cottage interior, right by the river, with charming Owners - just sit back and enjoy it ....
