“We had a wonderful stay at Bluebell Cottage.”

We arrived to find thoughtful treats waiting for us for afternoon tea, a lovely touch that set the tone for the whole trip. David and his family were incredibly kind, even taking us to meet the sheep; getting to see the newborn lambs was a highlight and such a unique, interesting experience. The barn itself was spotless, spacious, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. With stunning views and top-tier hospitality, we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended!

The property

Equal distance between Tenbury Wells and Bromyard 6 miles.

Bluebell Cottage rests gently on a working farm near the scenic Shropshire Hills National Landscape, just outside the charming village of Clifton Upon Teme in Worcestershire.

With off-road parking for two cars, an open-plan layout, and lovely countryside views, this delightful retreat offers an idyllic escape for couples seeking tranquillity and rural charm.

Approach along a quiet country road, where winding verges and open fields begin to ease you into the slower pace of rural life. Continue along the lane and you’ll arrive at automatic gates, which open to reveal a gravelled driveway edged with potted plants and neat brickwork—an inviting entrance to your countryside haven.

Step inside and let the warmth of the wooden floors guide you through a spacious open-plan living area, where the kitchen, dining space, and sitting room blend effortlessly.

Prepare a meal together in the well-equipped kitchen, then linger at the table with views stretching across the farmland.

Later, sink into the leather sofa and flick on the wall-mounted Smart TV, letting the quiet of the landscape settle around you.

Sunlight streams through large windows, drawing the outside in and filling the space with a sense of calm. Step out into the garden, where a patio with outdoor seating invites you to enjoy your morning coffee or a quiet evening drink as the light fades across the fields.

The lawn offers a peaceful spot to stretch out, read, or simply breathe in the fresh country air. Just off the main living area, the utility room provides a practical space to refresh after a day of exploring.

Place your walking gear into the washing machine, then slip out through the garden door to let the breeze and birdsong accompany your cool-down.

A fridge/freezer, microwave, and tumble dryer are tucked away here, keeping everything within easy reach. The bedroom features a super-king-size bed and views of the surrounding farmland, offering a gentle start to each morning.

The en-suite bathroom includes a bath, walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC, all enhanced by a light-up mirror.

A chest of drawers and hanging space complete the room, blending comfort with functionality. Guests with a curiosity for farm life may be invited to meet the lambs and calves raised on-site—a gentle and memorable glimpse into the rhythms of the countryside.

Public footpaths lead directly from the farm, making it easy to explore the surrounding hills and meadows on foot. When you're ready to venture further, Clifton Upon Teme and nearby towns such as Tenbury Wells, Ludlow, Hereford, and Church Stretton offer a wealth of history and charm.

Discover the medieval grandeur of Ludlow Castle, admire the architectural beauty of Worcester Cathedral, or explore the secrets of Harvington Hall with its hidden priest holes and original artwork.
