    “The barn was even more incredible in real life - photos don't do it justice.”

    It was bigger than we expected, with plenty of space, and the extra living space upstairs accommodated 8 of us easily for games and a movie night. The outside space was perfect, and we hung out there for most of the weekend, relaxing and playing badminton, given the gorgeous weather. The hot tub was clean and a great temperature, and we used this twice over the weekend. The kitchen was very well stocked with heaps of choice for dishes, including oven dishes, cafetiere, cocktail shaker etc. There ...

The hot tub was clean and a great temperature, and we used this twice over the weekend. The kitchen was very well stocked with heaps of choice for dishes, including oven dishes, cafetiere, cocktail shaker etc. There was even dish soap, dishwasher tablets, and a couple of tea towels. There was salt and pepper, but no cooking oil (an oversight on our part!). A very minor point - some of the mattresses were a little on the soft side. Also, consider bringing ear plugs, as we all found the 4am dawn chorus to be wonderful, but very loud!

Hereford 12 miles; Ludlow 12 miles.

Leominster is located in the heart of the beautiful border countryside, where England and Wales nudge each other along Offa’s Dyke. Dating back to the 7th Century, the town of Leominster possesses some fine examples of architecture such as the Priory Church, along with a wide variety of shops, cafes and pubs, and is the ideal place in which to spend a lazy afternoon strolling around in pleasant surroundings. Nearby is the smaller market town of Tenbury Wells situated on the banks of the River Teme. Dating back to the Iron Age and said to have been called 'my little town in the orchard' by Queen Victoria, Tenbury Wells boasts a unique 18th century bridge built by Thomas Telford, the magnificent Pump Rooms, which housed baths where local mineral water was available, and many other listed buildings dating back to the 17th century.
