Wonderful last minute stay at orchard house due to another booking being cancelled by a different company.

The house, surroundings, facilities, cleanliness, owners, and even the dog fern were all wonderful and we cant wait to rebook here as we all had such a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Orchard House.

Everything you would need for a great stay and the beds incredibly comfortable. The hot tub is a great bonus! It was great to escape for the weekend with friends and the children loved watching the sheep each day. The hosts were great and very accommodating.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that a lot of care had gone into making the space welcoming and comfortable. The house is set in a peaceful location with lovely views. The cottage was very clean and well equipped, everything we needed was provided. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

My family and I had the most incredible time here over Christmas.

The house had everything we needed for both adults and children! There were even loads of indoor and outdoor games for the kids. Kate was very accommodating and friendly. Would 100% recommend staying here for a relaxed holiday out in the countryside.

We had a wonderful stay at Orchard House.

The setting and location is great. So pretty and peaceful. We loved waking up and seeing the sheep in the fields. The house itself is beautiful and immaculate. It has everything you need and more. The hot tub is a lovely addition too. The welcome hamper was such a nice treat also. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely book again!

A secluded site in the country, quiet.

Very well appointed for broadband and smart tvs. Super sized beds and very responsive heating. .the hot tub a major plus. All the cooking and chilling facilities for a great holiday.

Kate and Rob have made the property an absolute delight, from modern internal living, through to fabulous touches such as hot tub & log burner.

Orchard House is rural hidden gem, with outstanding views , coupled with the farm sheep and birdsong all around the property. It’s the perfect location to escape far from the bustle of everyday life. Wonderful hosts and faultless accommodation.

An exceptional stay from start to finish!

The rooms were spotless, and the facilities were top-notch. We were greeted with a charming little welcome basket that added such a thoughtful touch. The owners were incredibly polite and made us feel right at home. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming experience.

Spotlessly clean, spacious, everything you could possibly need, even down to soft & fluffy towels for the hot tub. It was so peaceful & quiet with sheep grazing in the adjoining field & bats swooping in the twilight. We can highly recommend Orchard House for a very relaxing holiday.

We had a lovely weekend here as a group of four friends looking for some rest and relaxation.

The setting was beautiful and peaceful, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. The lounge was very comfortable (and big enough to get the yoga mats out). The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The owners were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. All in all it was a fabulous weekend and the house was gorgeous. Thank you!

The property is great, the location is great and the owner too.

If you wanna recharge your batteries, get refreshed completely in an isolated place, this is the place. The house is very tidy, clean, comfortable, and it has everything you need to have a good time such as a hot tub, a nice shower, very comfortable beds and pillows, nice sofas, with Netflix, and an adorable fire place. The owner is very friendly, responsive and supportive. I do recommend very strongly this place.

Excellent holiday at Orchard House.

Beautiful surroundings, immaculately clean house, very private, and had everything we needed. Our kids(5 and 3) loved the open space and plenty to keep them entertained. Kate was extremely helpful throughout our visit, went above and beyond, and we hope to visit again in the future.

Especially in the kitchen, lots of utensils and baking trays, bowls etc. Useful and generous welcome pack with dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods plus goodies. The hot tub was always warm and cleaned every day. Great views from the house. For me, the highlight is the wood burner, there were long matches, thick gloves, a good supply of dry logs and a metal bin for the Ashes! A great holiday for all. Thanks.

Orchard house was a fantastic stay for the groomsmen and their partners at our wedding at Broadfield (10 mins drive from Orchard House) - They all said they had the most fantastic and comfortable stay.

Kate was so lovely and went the extra mile for me by placing personalised wedding chocolates and welcome cards into each room for their arrival. The area looked stunning and peaceful for our guests and I am very glad we chose orchard house for them to stay in during the weekend!

A lovely cottage with a great hot tub and amazing views. Would love to go back

Contact with the owners was effortless and I always had prompt responses.

We even got in a bit early on arrival day thanks to a swift turnaround. The house was beautiful inside and had everything you needed. The hot tub and firepit BBQ gave hours of outdoor entertainment, all whilst we overlooked the beautiful panorama of the local area, including all of the new lambs. To top it off, the lemon drizzle cake mentioned in previous reviews did not disappoint! It was a lovely gesture that was very much appreciated. All round 10/10. See you next year! Nick

This property more than met our expectations!

Seven of us were easily accommodated without feeling cramped. Plenty of space and all the facilities we needed. The hot tub was fantastic, even in the drizzle! And the quietness, views and walks in the surrounding countryside were wonderful. Would certainly return. Thank you.

We had an enjoyable and comfortable week with the family at Orchard House.

Despite extremely wet weather complete with local flooding we were able to use the hot tub and have days out. We appreciated the lovely welcome basket with vegan treats, comfy beds, the well equipped kitchen-diner, logs provided, and hot tub towels. A doormat at both front and back doors would have been useful. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had 8 adults staying and we all found it clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub is perfect, log burner in the living room and the welcome hamper was a lovely extra touch! Would definitely recommend!

Great house for a large family get-together over Christmas week.

Well laid out, clean and comfortable, and a relaxing house to spend time in. We cooked for ourselves all week and ate around the large round sociable dining table. The bathrooms were all of a high standard. Quiet location with good nearby walking. The owners were friendly and helpful prior to and during our stay. Would recommend it and stay there again.

Just back from a wonderful girls weekend at this incredible property.

The house was immaculate and spotlessly clean. The beds are super comfy and the log burner (with logs provided) added to the warmth and comfort. The welcome basket was so thoughtful and we all said the lemon drizzle cake was the best we’ve ever tasted. A very rural location which was perfect to relax and ease away any stresses in the hot tub. We will definitely be returning!

We had a fabulous time at Orchard Cottage.

The host was absolutely lovely and contacted me before our stay to ask us if we needed anything, We were also given an earlier check in, which was ideal as we could make the most of the day and get settled. When we arrived the place was clean and beautifully presented and there was even a welcome basket with locally-sourced goodies, including a homemade lemon drizzle cake that was probably the best I had ever tasted! The views were simply stunning and the gardens were well maintained and not overlooked at all offering lots of privacy and a lovely outlook from every window of the house. We loved using the hot tub and being able to sit back and admire the beautiful rolling hills in the background. There is an abundance of soft, fluffy towels in the house including ones for the hot tub. This was a god send as it meant we didn’t have to use our own towels we had taken meaning I didn’t have to pack cold, damp towels and even better it saved me extra washing on our return!! The area is very remote and ideal for country walks but you will need to get into the car if you need shops or want a pub (not a problem for us!). Hereford is a 30 minute drive away and worth a visit and we also went to Queenswood Countey Park, which is beautiful and only 15 minutes is the road. This is ideal for kids and adults alike as there is a Gruffalo trail for the kids and a STUNNING autumnal garden/arboretum. If you’re eating out then I 100% recommend The Three Horseshoes in Bromyard. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We found this place in the house’s welcome pack.

The property was great for us.

We loved being out in the countryside, no neighbours, gorgeous views from every window and the hot tub. The dining table was larger than expected and 8 of us sat comfortably around it. It was very clean and well equipped. We had such a wonderful relaxing weekend. Thankyou so much.

It was spacious comfortable everything you could want in an amazing setting it was a pleasure to sit outside in the garden it was quite and peaceful and the views were stunning.To be able to jump in the hottub was an added bonus. Can't fault it at all and definatley will be back

We stayed in orchard house for a week as a family including a 2 year old.

The actual house is really well maintained and spotlessly clean. Everything is very functional and there are plenty of children's toys etc. The garden around the house is beautifully maintained with a lovely lawn. There are some small children's bikes and a toy house in the garden which our 2 yr old loved. The garden also has a fire pit which we used as well as a decent large webbed metal chair and table for 8, very comfortable. Additionally there are some comfy outdoor relaxing chairs amd coffee table next to the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is checked daily and the filter washed out etc, stayed away many times, never had daily jacuzzi maintenance! It's so clean, you can almost drink from it!!! And we kept it on a nice warm 41^ for those late evening soaks and chilling. All this is set within a large sheep farm owned by our amazing hosts, the farm is the best we have ever seen, hundreds of sheep grazing around us, it was a scene of tranquility. Some of my pics taken on my Samsung s23 were David Attenborough level. People couldn't believe it was in Wales, they thought I must be somewhere way more exotic. It was the best holiday house we have ever been to, streets ahead of anything else. The hosts, the young farming couple and their 3 children and Firn the 7yr old spaniel made us feel like family friends not a random holidaying family from London. I really can't speak highly enough about these lovely people, their beautiful property and how welcome we were made to feel. We were welcomed by a delicious home made brownie with local cold pressed rape seed oil and local delicious hand fried crisps. As well as useful things like both white and colour washing machine capsules etc. I highly recommend this property.

Fantastic cottage in a fairly remote but wonderfully peaceful location.

The weather wasn’t kind to us but we were happy to relax in the comfort of the house or the hot tub. All fixtures and fittings were of a high quality and there were plenty of activities for all ages in the surrounding area within easy reach. The cottage owners Kate and Rob were lovely and also left us a welcome pack of goodies. I would highly recommend this holiday home.

Absolutely wonderful first holiday with friends.

The area was beautiful. House was extremely spacious, filled with everything you could ever need or want - from complimentary brownies, board games, and garden games, to an array of kitchen facilities! All other information we could need was readily available in the house. The house was just an incredible place to spend with friends - extremely comfortable, something for everybody, and beautiful views. We travelled to Brecon Beacons, Puzzlewood, Hay-on-Wye, and experienced a beautiful vineyard tour, all within comfortable driving distance. Many times were spent playing with the footballs, playing card games outside and in, and hosting lovely breakfasts and lunches with the huge variety of kitchen facilities. We will definitely consider returning due to the gorgeous house and the lovely owners who provided us with everything we could ever need, and Kate who helped with questions prior to the trip and responded promptly and kindly. Thank you so so much!!

What an absolutely fantastic place for a break .

Had a fantastic time staying at Orchard house.

A few of us dress modestly and wear hijabs so this house was perfect for us as it was very secluded. The scenery was breath taking, very clean house, it’s like moving from home to home. The only down fall is the shops are far out including food places however cooking facilities are Available at the house and there’s a bbq facility too. We travelled 4 hours for this place and should have stayed longer than 4 hours. Will defiantly be back in the future

Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in on holiday.

House was fantastic and exactly what we wanted/needed for a family reunion. Plenty of space for everyone. Hot tub, fire pit and garden amazing too. Felt like we were on our own, in the middle of nowhere.

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our friends 60th birthday at Orchard House.

The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We were fortunate to have lovely weather so went on a lovely walk in the beautiful countryside and spent plenty of time in the hot tub watching the lambs in the field next to the garden, so idyllic.

We had a wonderful time spending the Easter at the Orchard House.

The house is fully equiped with the best comfort. We had two kids in our party who enjoyed the toys and the outdoors and kept them busy all the time. Kate and Rob were very supportive even when my car almost broke down. I would definitely recommend anyone to chose the Orchard House, is the perfect accommodation for the people who want to relax and get away from the city. We had a wonderful stay at Orchard House.

The house was spotlessly clean on our arrival and we were greeted with a welcome basket of local edibles. There were also lots of toys available for kids. The owners are highly responsive and helpful if you need them during your stay - they also check the hot tub levels regularly so you know it's safe to use. We bought extra firewood from the owners during our stay, which was delivered to the door very quickly! As with any stay, there were a few niggles - but they were minor. There's no stairgate provided so we went out and bought one - we realised afterwards, we should have bought two, but nevermind. We should have checked about stairgates ourselves prior to arrival so it's not the owners' fault. Also there was only one frying pan in the kitchen and it's seen better days. A bit more cutlery and a few more utensils would be ideal for a larger group, too. We'd certainly stay again and recommend to others.

It was brilliant, the house was modern, clean and warm!

no problems with wifi or electronics! The location is beautiful and rural, and would have loved more time there! we would have loved to have explored the local area more, the house is located in a private space. For muslims if your looking for a hijab friendly space, this is prefect- they also have a halal restaurant that delivers. we really enjoyed this trip, for anyone wanted to book this location please do pack all your essentials and enough food and snacks for your stay! An absolutely amazing property with wonderful attention to detail.

Absolutely faultless!

We had the most amazing, relaxing stay for 3 nights this weekend. The house is lovely, with everything you could need for a stress free break. All the rooms were spacious and clean. The bedding and towels were fluffy and smelt lovely. The log burner added a really calming ambience to the living room, and the kitchen diner seated 7 adults with ease. It’s just a very sociable house! The hot tub was clean and hot from the moment we arrived. In short the house was perfect. The biggest thing was the friendliness of the owner Kate. We chatted by text before hand and throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. Attention to detail was fantastic with a basket of locally produced goodies upon arrival, along with dishwasher and washing machine tablets. Thank you for a perfect stay, we will definitely be back.

The pictures doesn’t do the place justice, the place is incredible. Kate couldn’t do enough for us and even offered us a lift to town when we were struggling to get a taxi. It was 10/10 and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great stay!

Kate and Rob were excellent.

They were only always just a phone call or text away. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage itself was perfect. Everything was clean and well equipped. The photos really do not do the cottage and setting justice. Although the weather itself was not that great, it didn’t matter as the views were idyllic and the setting peaceful. Wi-Fi was excellent and so we had Netflix etc. We would definitely book again. Definitely a 5 star stay.

. We had a great weekend and had Evey thing we needed at the property. It's abit far from local places and not much can get delivered so make sure you take enough to get by.. But I would 100 Percent come back again.

We had an amazing stay at orchard House, perfect space for 8 adults, although we didn't have children lots of indoor and outdoor toys and facilities around if so, perfect for friends or family, a beautiful modern and clean house, with 4 big bedrooms a log fire and a hot tub, which was topped up and cleaned over the weekend.

A lovely welcome basket with tea towels and kitchen facilities was a very kind touch and juice, jam and a lemon drizzle cake which went down a treat after a country walk, will come stay again, perfect country break from the city,

Having stayed at many places across the UK over the years, we can safely say that Orchard House was one of the best.

The house is modern yet very cosy and the views are stunning and it is so peaceful. It was warm, comfortable and impeccably clean with all the facilities you could hope for. We made use of the hot tub (even at the end of October) and the fact that separate fluffy towels were provided for this was such a nice touch. As were the pumpkins dotted around the property to remind us that it was halloween weekend

We've stayed here twice as we really enjoyed the first time.

The house has everything we need, is not overlooked and has plenty to do for the family within an hour's drive.

We are a group of 5 ladies that have been friends since our school days and get together once a year.

We have done this for many years booking accommodation from b&bs, hotels, cabins, apartments and houses. Although most have been comfortable something has never been quite right for us to return. Upon arriving at Orchard house, we immediately knew we had found our “forever home” Kate & Rob’s house is absolutely wonderful in every way. Stunning views and surroundings. Peaceful and quiet. The facilities in the house are all top quality. All of us found the beds extremely comfortable, it was warm and the log fire made it very cosy. Everything had been thought about very carefully. The kitchen was well equipped. The only thing that was missing was a slow cooker, which wasn’t a problem as Kate lent us her own. The hot tub is an excellent addition to the property and we thoroughly enjoyed using it. Rob was down every day to check the chemical levels and water. We enjoyed having a chat with him daily (however he wasn’t intrusive in anyway and you could easily go about your holiday without any interruptions). Kate and Rob’s attention to detail, care and maintenance of their property was evident. They couldn’t do enough for us and they are a lovely couple. Our welcome pack is the best we’ve ever had and very thoughtful of them. I cannot leave much feedback about the local area as we didn’t really venture out. We went into the local village which was very picturesque. However we spent our time at the house, relaxing and enjoying the hot tub. Orchard house is the first holiday rental we’ve stayed in that we’d definitely be looking to rebook. We cannot wait to return. Was even better than we expected!

! Really lovely place very secluded and peaceful in the countryside with wonderful sunset views! The house is beautiful, incredibly clean but comfortable and had everything we could have needed. The welcome basket was a lovely extra touch. The hot tub and garden were perfectly maintained. Kate was a great host - she was in touch before and after our stay and gave clear instructions and answered any queries very quickly. We will definitely like to stay again for longer though next time!!

Such a peaceful place but with all the mod cons you need. Owners were lovely and were on hand if needed but never intruded. We all loved our stay and would definitely return.

Amazing remote location, great house and garden to chill in.

If you have kids it is ideal, so many toys both in the house and garden, with the benefit of sheep and cows in the adjoining field. Owner Kate very friendly and helpful. Adults are well catered for with the hot tube. Highly recommend this house.

Immaculately clean, bright and tastefully furnished house with a large garden and wonderful views in a quiet, peaceful and scenic location.

Very comfortable beds and lounge sofas, and two outside seating areas with cushions provided for the chairs. Plenty of toys and games provided to occupy the little ones. The owners, who live nearby, were very helpful both before and during our stay and made us all feel very welcome.

My friends and I stayed at Orchard House in May and had the most wonderful stay!

Kate is so friendly, really communicative, and left us a lovely welcome hamper for our arrival. Such a nice touch. The house is immaculate and very well equipped. Beds are super comfy and particularly loved the downstairs bedroom that opens onto the garden (the bed in there is huge)! We had perfect weather to enjoy the hot tub which was all ready to go for us (complete with plastic champagne flutes to enjoy our fizz in there, and separate towels to use for the hot tub). And the fire pit in the garden was really easy to get going - all fire wood and firelighters for that and the log burner inside are provided. The setting is stunning - looking out at nothing but fields, and the resident sheep in the field next to the house. I highly recommend Orchard House, and can't wait to come back. Thank you Kate for a more than perfect stay.

A lovely cottage with great facilities, tucked away in the countryside, very private.

The owners were available at all times if needed. A lovely welcome basket with some local treats and necessary items such as dishwasher tablets. We can recommend going to the safari park (about an hour's drive away) as a lovely day out.

The house is lovely and in a beautiful location. Our party ranged from age 3 to 75 and everyone was catered for, we would certainly recommend it.

We stayed at Orchard House in November and had the most fantastic time.

Set in beautiful surroundings there were walks from the doorstep. The house itself was the best equipped holiday let we’ve stayed in. The kitchen had everything you could need and there were towels for the bathrooms and also the hot tub. Logs were provided for the wood burner and fire pit. We had a much needed recharge. There are plenty of places to visit near by but the house is spacious and relaxing if you just want to unwind. The hamper of local items was a very thoughtful touch. The owners popped past to check the hot tub regularly to ensure it was maintained. Thank you for a wonderful staycation. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great time for the weekend.

The property is beautiful, and really clean. It had everything we needed, and great welcome book which gave directions for everything. Owners were contactable but also left us to it for the weekend. Really great place, and would go back!

The Orchard House was the perfect setting for our University reunion weekend and Kate, the owner, could not have been more welcoming and kind.

The house was spotless, beautifully decorated and furnished with everything obviously carefully thought through. We were greeted with a generous hamper of local produce and Kate checked in with us over the weekend to ensure we had everything we needed. The hot tub was fabulous and the wood provided for the fire ample. The rooms were all beautifully decorated, the sheets and towels luxurious and soft. It was, in the words of Strictly, FAB-U-LOUS!! We would love to return. As busy women, with hectic working lives, the views from the large windows of the most stunning Autumn countryside immediately calmed and welcomed us. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

Wow, what a place!

Orchard House is everything you need for a break from amazing views and walks to relaxing hot tubs and fire pit. Our stay we had 6 adults (friends) and an 18 month old. We had everything we needed and more. Provided were plenty of toys inside and outside for our daughter which was very much appreciated. We were greeted by a fantastic welcome hamper which everyone enjoyed and hot tub towels were provided. Not only was this a beautiful accommodation with amazing views the hosts were extremely friendly and were very welcoming and helpful. Thank you Kate for your amazing hospitality, we throughly enjoyed meeting you, your family and your farm. We would 100% stay here again. We will miss our morning cuppas talking to the sheep (with my daughter of course).

It was my first time using Sykes holiday cottages and it happened by chance.

I came across Sykes them when searching for a last minute family break. The profiles are great with loads of pictures to give you a good idea of the properties. It was really easy to book online and then since I have downloaded the App which is very user friendly. The App is great with places of interest local to the property. I have given a 5-star rating because I need to change the booking twice and the lady in customer services was on both occasions very helpful, professional and friendly. Everything you need under stressful circumstances. We are already looking to book our next break with Sykes.

The amenities are first class and our holiday home was everything we hoped it would be, and more. The owner was very helpful.

Such a lovely place to escape to for a holiday.

Peaceful with lovely picture postcard views all the way to the Brecon Beacons on a clear day. Orchard House was spotlessly clean with lots of outdoor space for the children or to while away a few hours listening to birds singing and sheep bleating. The hot tub was a fantastic addition and enjoyed after a day out walking. The house had everything needed for a self catering break plus a wonderful hamper of local produce which even my fussy eaters tucked into. There are some lovely towns, gardens, parks and castles to visit, lots of walking routes. Utter bliss.

A wonderful relaxing week.

The house had everything we could have wished in a holiday let. Extremely clean. The selection of toys were fabulous for our toddler. He also loved seeing the sheep out of every window!! Outstanding views. Couldn't recommend enough. Very helpful owner.

I would defiantly recommend this cottage if you want peace and quiet and to explore Herefordshire.

Owners were friendly and helpful have created a great place to relax. Lots of little touches were appreciated such as kids toys, picnic supplies and a hamper with locally made goodies. House was spotless, had a lovely big hot tub and fire pit for bbq’s. We would gladly recommend and look forward to our return.

There is so much thought put into your stay and such a personal warm touch added on arrival with a beautiful hamper full of local produce and goodies. I celebrated my 22nd birthday here with friends and the location, house and garden area made the weekend for us. The hosts were quick to respond throughout the booking experience and continued to be extremely helpful throughout the holiday. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who’s looking for a get away in the country side. If you enjoy being in the hot tub, sitting around the fire pit, enjoying a BBQ in the sun and finishing off around a log fire on an evening then this is the place for you. We will all most definitely be returning. Thank you !!!

Wood provided for the fire and a hamper left for us on arrival. Couldn't ask for a better host in Kate as she was polite and catered to all our requests. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
