Grafton Mill

This was our second time staying at Grafton Mill & just as before, we had a fantastic time.

It is a beautiful cottage set in stunning grounds. Jane & Alan are so welcoming & such lovely hosts. Once again, we were sad to leave & hope to stay again in the future.

The mill is such a unique and special place to stay.

The owners are wonderful hosts - friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful, with a fantastic knowledge of the local area. They went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable and special. They are clearly passionate about the history of the mill and it was fascinating to hear about its journey and the work that has gone into bringing this beautiful property back to life. The location is perfect for exploring a wide variety of places, with plenty to see and do. The mill is set within stunning grounds, and the outdoor seating areas were all perfect to relax, unwind and enjoy watching and feeding the geese and ducks. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the mill to anyone looking for somewhere truly special.

The Mill Cottage is a stunning property, about as English as you can get.

Every single thing was thought of and the whole place was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We spent so much time sitting outside watching the ducks, geese,kingfishers, dragonflies and other assorted wildlife ( the family of mink were marvellous). It was too hot to do much walking but you can walk straight out the back onto footpaths easily. Plenty to do locally and Worcester is an easy 15mins drive. The busy road is a pity but shouldn't stop you visiting this glorious property.

We enjoyed a fabulous stay at Grafton Mill.

Jane and Allan were excellent hosts. The Welcome Hamper, flowers, posies, and handmade cake were a lovely surprise. The attention to detail for the Watermill restoration is fantastic and the comfort and furnishings are so lovely. So fantastic to see the moving inner Waterwheel moving (silently) in the kitchen. There is a great view of the fabulous grounds from every window in the Watermill. We enjoyed eating our meals outside in the peacefulness of the grounds, surrounded by lovely views and wildlife. We shall have to return to see the lovely Worcestershire Towns and Villages that we didn’t get to see this time.

We absolutely love Grafton Mill This was our third visit and we would not hesitate to return.

The property is so well situated, close to many lovely and interesting places to visit. But the main attraction for us is the Mill itself and its stunning grounds, together with the world's nicest hosts. On arrival you are met with a most generous welcome pack of goodies and then enjoy the spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation, where it is clear every thought has been given to guests comfort and enjoyment. The wonderful mill itself is only surpassed by the outside space where you can wander at leisure enjoying nine acres of grounds, feeding the ducks and geese and spotting other birds and wildlife. This is a truly special place and I cannot imagine any guests will not fall in love with it as we have.

Grafton Mill is a magical place to stay.

The owners have created a little refuge which is comfortable and unique. The old mill has been renovated with all modern amenities, and to complete the welcoming comfort of the mill, we were greeted with a hamper of much appreciated food & drink—necessities and delicious non-necessities! The mill is situated in a park-like setting, with a stream turning the water wheel, a lake, an island, weeping willows and plantings everywhere. And to top it all off—a wonderful contingent of ducks and geese (with goslings), songbirds, and…lovely owners nearby to respond to any needs! We loved our time there, and loved learning about the history of the mill. We enjoyed goose-feeding duty a couple of days when the owners were away. Among other excursions, we drove to Tetbury to picnic with Pygmy goats, another day west to Worcester, and another east to Stratford-upon-Avon. We really enjoyed the Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch as well. And, we always enjoy just exploring the English countryside…and pubs!

Jane and Allan as wonderful hosts, and so happy to share their knowledge of the 3 storey renovation and the local area alongside so much info to read once inside. We went for some rest and relaxation and we certainly got that, was tough to come home lol! Thank you

The mill is beautiful and the surroundings are just as amazing. Jane and Allan were the most lovely hosts and made our stay feel incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect for a peaceful getaway, with stunning views and plenty to explore nearby. The renovation of the Mill is fantastic, so many thoughtful additions. The kitchen is very well equipped and seating and beds are very comfortable throughout. The grounds are extensive and beautiful. We definitely recommend a stay here.

This was the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in in 15 years.

The welcome pack was more than generous and Jane and Alan, the owners, were extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodation was in an ancient water mill over 3 stories. It had been beautifully renovated with features made of some of the old machinery. It was warm and beautifully decorated. It was set in 9 acres of lakes and streams with abundant wild life. We would give the property and hosts 5 stars and an accolade!

We had the most wonderful stay at Grafton Mill.

Right from the start we had a warm and friendly welcome from Jane. We really appreciated her showing us how everything worked and the welcome hamper was a lovely surprise! The Mill was just perfect. The owners have thought of everything and everything we could have needed was there waiting for us. The kitchen was very well equipped which was much appreciated. They had lots of recommendations for activities, walks, restaurants etc in the area and were always available for any questions during our stay. The mill was extremely clean, comfortable and cosy. The location was perfect and we loved being able to wander around their grounds feeding the ducks and geese. It was so quiet and peaceful and we cannot wait to return one day. I would 100% recommend Grafton Mill for a relaxing countryside getaway in a very well kept, unique property!

My parents and I had a super time enjoying the comforts of the mill which has everything needed for an enjoyable stay including bread to feed the ducks and geese. Jane is a great host. Would love to stay again.

A wonderful cottage in idyllic surroundings.

The owners were extremely attentive and were available should we needed them. The location was central to all the lovely Cotswold villages especially Broadway. I would recommend this lovely cottage for a break. The ducks and geese and the morning feeding was the icing on the cake.

We booked Grafton Mill on a very late booking to celebrate a significant birthday and couldn't have been happier with our choice.

Firstly, the owners Jane and Allan are delightful and helped to make the stay one to remember. The welcome pack was excellent too. The Mill itself is a wonderful place, the restoration showcasing the old workings and general attention to detail within the building are outstanding. Everything is top quality from the range of kitchen utensils, living room furnishings and super comfy bed among the highlights. The extensive grounds are a lovely place to spend some time too. We would highly recommend this fantastic property and look forward to returning as soon as we can.

Just brilliant.

The best equipped place we’ve ever stayed in and ten welcome hamper was another level! Fresh bread, eggs, milk and a hot kettle ready for arrival. Couldn’t ask for me - and yet you got it with the best lemon drizzle under the sun. Plus a whole load to feed the geese. Thank you Jane and Allen for a lovely trip.

What a beautiful place to stay .

we stopped for a week.jane and Alan have thought of everything it's like home from home.it was beautiful to just sit and chill in the gardens watching the ducks/geese.the hamper was a lovely surprise.also Jane's mum's lemon drizzle cake was excellent.jane was a brilliant host there to answer any questions about the area etc. I would recommend the mill to anyone. definitely the place to chill and relax.definately will be go back in the future.

The accommodation itself was absolutely fantastic in a wonderful setting. It was a home away from home and then some. Everything had been thought of. This stay was outstanding for lots of reasons.

The setting of the property is glorious with plenty of space to walk in the garden by the lake and stream with its ducks and geese! We especially appreciated our own covered seating area by the lake. Indoors nothing has been overlooked including a very generous welcome hamper. Jane and Allan are very caring hosts, always ready to help . There are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby..

We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Grafton Mill, and it genuinely felt like we were welcomed as part of the family.

From the moment we arrived, Jane and Allan made us feel completely at home with their warm hospitality and thoughtful touches throughout our stay. The setting is peaceful, full of character, and beautifully maintained. The mill itself is steeped in history, and has been lovingly restored to provide a perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. We stayed during an unusually hot spell, and Jane and Allan went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable – providing fans, a cooler, and even swapping out the bedding for a minimum tog-rated quilt. It’s that level of attention to detail that made all the difference. Our kids absolutely loved it, exploring the spacious grounds, engaging with nature including an evening walk with Jane and looking forward each day to feeding the geese and ducks. Since there was so much fruit this year, the kids got to pick some apples, pears, and plums from the trees. They turned it into a tasty crumble for all of us to enjoy. It’s rare to find such genuine, thoughtful hospitality, and it really made our stay feel incredibly special. Whether you're after a relaxing countryside escape or a home away from home, Grafton Mill is a true gem.

This was our second visit to Grafton Mill and will certainly not be our last.

It is a very special place, with such lovely accommodation and beautiful grounds, and Jane and Allan should win any award going for being the most perfect hosts. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished with super comfy beds and everything you could wish for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. There are loads of wonderful places to visit within easy driving distance, including several National Trust properties and great pubs (see the incredibly helpful guest to guest feedback guide) and Jane gave us several suggestions of local food fairs and artisan markets which we would never have known about otherwise. We had an outing every day, but always wanted to come "home" and I still think our favourite place was the mill. Not sure if there is such a thing as a perfect holiday, but if there is, Grafton Mill is as close as it gets.

Absolutely loved our stay at the mill.

The accommodation and grounds were brilliant and the cottage very comfortable and fully equipped. The hosts were lovely and very helpful with places to visit whilst also providing the best welcome basket we have ever had, ( even providing a bread loaf to feed the ducks with). I have always used Sykes cottages for our UK holidays which have always been great properties and hosts but this is the best by far - We will definitely return in the future and highly recommend others do!!

It was a privilege to stay at Grafton Mill and to be able enjoy the culmination of the years of work restoring the Mill and the site.

The mill is a lovely quirky building, comfortable, well equipped with great views of lake and river. Plenty of places to visit locally but you could easily just spend your time relaxing in the Mill and the grounds, watching the birds and feeding the geese. Nice welcome hamper and the owners who live on site are helpful and friendly.

We were overwhelmed!

We got everything and more we could only imagine. The owners are extremely friendly and the house and the gardens heavenly. We did not want to leave and we definitely will come back. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday home.

There was nothing we needed. Jane and Allen are amazing hosts and full of information on places to go and eat. Such a lovely place - this was our second stay at Grafton Mill, as we’d enjoyed our first visit so much.

The mill has been beautifully restored and converted into a comfortable holiday home, with everything needed for a relaxing break. The owners are so friendly, and on hand if we had any questions or concerns. We also found plenty more places to visit during our holiday, as well as returning to a couple of favourites.

We always feel like our Christmas has begun when we are there. Jane and Allan make it all so cosy and festive and beautiful. The Mill is always spotlessly clean and every detail is thought of. A welcome hamper that is the most amazing we have ever had in the many cottages we have stayed in.

Wow what can I say about this property and the owners .

Jane and Alan were so welcoming, on arrival Jane meet us in the horrible rain . Then she had kindly made us some hot mould wine . On entering the mill house we were taking back buy the amazing eye to detail in the home . We also was greeted with a wonderful Christmas hamper which was amazing. We then got showed are the the property which I can’t put into words All I can say if you are thinking of booking an amazing 3 days or a week this is definitely a place I would recommend. You won’t be disappointed. Then on the outside wow just amazing gardens and lakes . Which if you ask Jane she will be more than happy for you to help feed ducks and geese . On a last note I really can’t thank this amazing couple for giving us an amazing Christmas. A memory will we never forget. We will look forward to seeing them again. The mill is a truly stunning place to stay.

The renovation is first class and in keeping with its history as well as having all the modern conveniences for guests. The gazebo was just perfect for relaxing and watching the wildlife. Jane and Allan were perfect hosts and went over and above to make our week memorable. Just perfect!

Hosts are warm and welcoming and give such attention to making you stay enjoyable. Lovely hamper, all the equipment and sauces etc needed in the kitchen. Comfy lounge and cosy bedrooms. Beautiful grounds to walk in and friendly geese to be fed. So enjoyable we keep returning.

The mill was spotless throughout, the equipment for the kitchen leaves you wanting for nothing even washing up liquid, toilet rolls, dishwasher tabs, washing machine tabs, I could go on and on. This cottage far exceeded our expectations from arriving and meeting the owners Jane and Allan to leaving.

Definitely has the WOW factor It has everything you need from a well equipped cottage to the tranquility of the grounds and superb hosts, so friendly and always available for anything you want. The cottage is a beautiful renovated watermill set in the most peaceful grounds which are made available by the hosts for guests to enjoy walking around and enjoying the peaceful setting. From feeding the geese (hope Ollie is doing ok) to looking for the beautiful king fisher. It was absolutely amazing. The welcome pack was fantastic with so many goodies and the best lemon drizzle cake ever. A big thank you Jane and Allan for everything you did to make our visit so enjoyable, we loved chatting with you and hearing about the mill such lovely people

My brother and I had a wonderful stay in Grafton Mill.

Not only is it so very special to sleep in an old watermill with the wheel revolving steadily day and night. But also the surroundings are excellent for cycling. Just don't use the main road! Very easy. Local roads branch off close to the property in every direction. Supermarkets are fairly nearby in Pershore. Our super-kind hostess even offered to come pick us up when we went there (cycling)! Superb accommodation. Lovely people. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Mill, gorgeous on the inside with lovely furnishings,the surroundings of the duck ponds and lawns are beautifully maintained.

Jane and Alan are lovely hosts and we had great fun feeding the geese.

On arrivel at Grafton Mill,we had a very warm welcome, by Allan and Jane, after an extensive tour of the Mill and the biggest welcome hamper, with enough food to last the week including lemon drizel cake,which deserved an Oscar, It was then time to explore this beautiful old Mill restored by Allan, so tastfully done with large parts of original Mill workings used.

Walks around the stunning grounds accompanyed by the geese was a must. A holiday we will never forget including the sad good bye's. Thank you Peter and Patricia.

We were overjoyed by the quaint mill and the lovely surrounding natural grounds.

There is always wildlife on view and pleasant pagodas to sit in, soaking up the sunshine while the geese ask for food. We saw kingfishers and an otter in the mill stream. So enjoyable was our stay that I am only too pleased to recommend this property. Jane and Allan are attentive and welcoming hosts.

This is the most comfortable and beautiful place we have ever stayed in, the perfect place to unwind, relax and let go.

The Mill itself is amazing inside and out, the surroundings of willow trees, water and greenery a tonic for the soul, the geese and ducks humorous and joyful. There are easy to reach places to explore with something for everyone. Jane and Allan were incredible hosts, their endeavors in creating such a space and then sharing it are humbling. We had a very enjoyable stay and Jane provided a lovely hamper including a homemade cake. It was my birthday during my visit and Jane and Allan made that special with balloons and a beautiful card (which was a lovely surprise) and wished me a Happy Birthday. The Mill was interesting to stay in and had lots of extra touches that made our stay comfortable.

Wonderful find of a sympathetically, renovated old mill in an idyllic setting, with geese, ducks and other birds around the grounds and the pond, Allan and Jane are great hosts not intrusive, but there if needed.

the mill is a great credit to them both for the time and effort that they have put in to making it a wonderful place to stay. The welcome hamper was fabulous and the homemade cake a real treat. A great find and a place we would highly recommend to others. There is plenty of places locally to eat . The British car museum is a must for car enthusiasts or just to reminisce of the cars you had! We look forward to returning next year.

This property has the ‘Wow’ factor… inside and out.

We Remained at the property for the first 5 days.. relaxing and enjoying the tranquility of the place. .. then went exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding area for the final 2 days. The thing we loved the most was the peace and quiet as well as the freedom to explore the grounds and stay active. There were benches and seating throughout the grounds which was perfect for reflection time and being at one with nature. The sound of the water wheel and the fountain in the courtyard added to the serenity. The fruit trees were ripe and ready to eat and we were invited to help ourselves to the grapes from the greenhouse .. Thank you so much. This place is perfect for ‘time out’.. to recharge your batteries.

The outside is like having your own park, we loved walking around the grounds watching the wildlife and the highlight for me was feeding the geese each day. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is looking to visit Worcestershire. Thankyou so much for a lovely holiday.

We had a wonderful holiday at Grafton Mill It is such a lovely property in such a beautiful setting that we had to force ourselves to go out and explore the local area and always looked forward to coming "home".

We did enjoy visits to Worcester, Stratford and Broadway and several National Trust properties including Packwood House and Baddesley Clinton (which are conveniently close together). We also had many indulgent lunches in local pubs, with Arrow Mill at Arrow and Chequers at Cutnall Green being favourites. The property itself is very spacious and comfortable, tastefully furnished and very well equipped, with obviously a lot of thought gone into guests comfort and enjoyment by the owners, including a very generous welcome hamper with Jane’s mum’s wonderful home made cake. The stunning outside space also exceeded expectations.and we were happy to spend hours just wandering around the extensive gardens and sitting in the private pergola right next to the water watching the geese. The conversion of Grafton Mill into a fabulous holiday home has clearly been a labour of love by Jane and Allan, who are the most warm and lovely hosts. A truly memorable experience.

we were blown away by this beautiful accommodation and its picturesque setting. The level of care, love and attention to detail that the hosts put into this place is phenomenal. We had the most amazing holiday and we felt really at home. From the fabulous welcome hamper to the hosts kindly sending back a forgotten book - the comfy beds, pillows and sheets to the cosy lounge, every last detail had been thoughtfully considered. Grafton Mill is like a park in itself with lots of wildlife to see, and we could feed the geese and relax by the water and walk through the beautiful woodland. It is in a great location for exploring the area and there are lots of beautiful countryside walks and parks nearby. Once again our Christmas break stay at Grafton Mill was wonderful.

The cottage is so comfortable and warm and has everything you need to make you feel at home. We had snow this year and lovely white frosts which just added to the beauty of our surroundings, we still got to feed the geese. Allan and Jane are the loveliest people who will go above and beyond to make your stay perfect.

Myself and my family recently stayed at Grafton Mill for 6 days, and can honestly say that we had such a wonderful time.

We had read past reviews where the ratings were very high, however, we took these with a pinch of salt as you see these places on the internet and think they are too good to be true. But after staying at the mill ourselves, we found that Grafton Mill was all of what those previous positive reviews said and more. Not only is the property filled with character, loving restoration and attention to detail, but the host Jane was truly delightful and the cherry on top. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful say, and it was very clear from the start that the mill is her passion. There is plenty to do, from shopping in Worcester, to going and spending time at Webb's garden centre (one of, if not the biggest garden centre in the country). But if you fancy a quiet day in, there are wonderful grounds at the mill to explore, including a heated outdoor seating area over looking the brook where you can feed some very excitable geese. We wish to thank both Jane and Allan for making our time at the Mill so rememberable, and we hope to visit again.

One of the best ever places we've stayed in.

And we've stayed in a few, at least 6 or 7 of yours in the last twelve-odd years as well as a few others. Such nice people running the enterprize: Allan Pickering is a cross between "Capability" Brown and Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a true genius. His wife, Jane is a very gentle, big-hearted and equally hard-working lady. Missing the geese already!

The grounds are lovely to wander round and of course a highlight is feeding the geese and seeing wildlife and enjoying tasty hamper goods. Great place to return to.

Such a lovely property, with loads of character.

The surrounding huge 'garden' was beautifully designed and well looked after. We felt very welcome and really appreciated the generous hamper, including the bread to feed the geese and ducks, which was one of the highlights for my granddaughter!

From the moment we arrived we felt at home and relax.

The setting is absolutely superb, with marvellous grounds to walk around. The wonderful wooden summer house beside the water and wildlife is perfect for both a sunny breakfast and evening drinks. Jane and Allan are the best hosts you could wish for. Thank you both. We will be returning.

Grafton Mill has been renovated to the highest standard. The surroundings are so beautiful with the geese, ducks, kingfisher and the elusive otters. Jane and Allan are perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Perfect in every way.

We were welcomed back by Jane and Alan with open arms. The mill is stunning and set in the most beautiful grounds, if you are lucky you may even see the otters and kingfishers, it's a tiny bit of paradise for us. Jane and Alan go way above and beyond as hosts, and make you feel so welcome. I'm sure once you have been you will be returning again and again just like us.

My family and I absolutely loved it.

The hosts are so warm and welcoming (and had thought of everything in advance), and the mill itself and the grounds are stunning. Probably the most beautiful place we've stayed, and certainly one of the most relaxing. The summerhouse looking out over the water was a particular highlight, given the good weather, and we spent a high proportion of our time there reading, chatting or playing board games with the kids. Local area was interesting, with lots to see and do - we would happily have stayed another week! Couldn't recommend this highly enough.

Grafton Mill is a special place.

From the minute we arrived until it was sadly time to leave, Jane and Allan were lovely hosts. The welcome hamper was fantastic. The mill has been very thoughtfully equipped and we found it truly a home from home. The grounds are simply beautiful - perfect for a stroll around, armed with some bread to feed the geese. There is a choice of pubs locally that serve good food and the mill is well placed for trips to all of the attractions that Worcestershire and Warwickshire have to offer. We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years and Grafton Mill is undoubtedly the best. We would return in a heartbeat. Should you choose to stay here, you really won't be disappointed.

The property is even better in reality than what it reads .We would stay here again in a flash-during our stay we had 3 groups of friends visit on day trips and all could not believe how we found this treasure .Would even be delighted to stay in the middle of winter and the nearby pubs are a delight as an added bonus . We were very grateful to Jane and Allan for allowing us to change our bookings 4 times due to Covid and being locked down in Australia for so long

We stayed at Grafton Mill for 6 days.

We were very impressed with the house. It was very clean. Everything was as advertised or even better! It was truly a home from home. They had an excellent welcome pack and hamper. The house itself was very interesting historically. It has large, very well-maintained grounds and is an easy (half hour) drive from many sightseeing places as well as shopping in Worcester. We wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely come back in the future.

The accomodation was out of this world.

To stay in this restored watermill was such a unique privilege. There was attention to detail both in the building itself and the internal decor and furnishings. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful and couldn't have been more helpful! The welcome basket was so generous ...the best we'd ever had plus delicious homemade cake! The mill was spotlessly clean and so well equipped! The mill workings were amazing as were the wildlife rich grounds and ponds of which we had free access. All in all a magical place to stay!

We absolutely loved it. We have hardly stopped talking about it since returning home. It’s so peaceful and comfortable. It’s also a fantastic base from which to visit lots of other places. Jane and Allen were super friendly too. Loved it.

Very clean, warm and comfortable. The hosts, Jane and Allan are very friendly and approachable and on hand should you need them. The building has a long history and is packed with interesting features including visible, working mill wheel (enclosed in perspex and very quiet). All the fittings and furnishings are very good quality and in keeping with the building. Lots of nice extra touches, including a very generous arrival basket. Everything you could want or need is provided. We had a fantastic time here and would not hesitate to recommend. The grounds are beautiful and you are welcome to explore or make use of your own personal, partially enclosed gazebo overlooking a large pond. Plenty of wild life to observe within the grounds; we had a great time feeding the ducks and geese! Lots of places to explore within half hour drive and plenty of pubs nearby.

The Mill is a relaxing place to be, a home from home.

There are lovely grounds to wander in. The geese are a delight to see and feed. The views from the Mill are lovely. The welcome hamper is generous. Jane and Allan are perfect hosts, always adding to the wonderful experience of Grafton Mill. There’s a newly built gazebo to enjoy, sit there and enjoy surroundings or read or perfect for drinks and nibbles. There are many places nearby to visit National Trust, Farm Shops, Craft Shops, lovely towns, cathedrals and beautiful countryside to enjoy. There is also and excellent choice of wonderful eateries nearby. Out of season there would less to visit but more time to relax and enjoy surroundings.

Lovely place to stay whatever the weather, we went from 24°C to 12°C and were still cosy.

Would be great to see a car charging point added in the future especially if it could be powered by the waterwheel, how green is that, thank you for the warm reception and welcome basket.

First off this is no ordinary holiday cottage.

It was a working watermill in its day that like so many had fallen into disrepair over the years. The owners bought it and have over the years since lovingly restored it to its former glory. It is a unique heritage building and to stay in it was an absolute delight. The waterwheel has been repaired and re-instated and is once again turning, powered by the brook. You can see the pit wheel turning in the kitchen which is fascinating to watch, almost hypnotic. The mill accomodation sits on the brook naturally with the mill pond in front. There are gardens all around to explore which again are delighful and there is a lovely protected gazebo to sit in and enjoy a drink overlooking the mill pond. Jane and Allan are exceptional hosts and it is clear that they have strived very hard to achieve the high level of comfort and specification which is evident in even the smallest of details. A friendly greeting upon arrival, a generous welcome pack and always on hand should we need any help, local information etc. The impression is Jane and Allan both want to make your stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. It is not hard to see why they have received national recognition as one of the top places to stay in the UK! As a location it is situated perfectly for lots of heritage places to visit especially National Trust, and we certainly got full use of our membership. Local towns like Pershore, Evesham, Worcester and Stratford only a stones throw away. Trouble is one week is simply just not enough time to see and do everything which of course means only one thing, a return visit. Just to sum it up this has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed and we have stayed in a lot over the years.

This was our first visit to Grafton Mill.

What can we say? The Mill was a fabulous place to stay, the surroundings were beautiful and the hosts, Jane and Allan, couldn't have been more accommodating. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The welcome pack provided on our arrival was much appreciated (this included bread, milk, eggs, tea & coffee etc) and there was even a loaf of bread specifically for feeding the ducks & geese! We really couldn't have asked for anything more. We are already hoping to plan our return trip.

We had a fantastic time at Grafton Mill and probably the best Sykes cottage accommodation we have stayed at.

The Mill was very comfortable, very clean and very well equipped throughout. We were greeted by our hosts, Jane and Alan, and they were wonderful during our stay. They also provided a welcome tray with wine, specialised coffee, tea and Jane's mothers lemon drizzle cake amongst other goodies, which surpassed any trays we had received elsewhere. The Mill and surrounding pond had been renovated by Alan and Jane over a long period of time to create this quirky holiday cottage set in peaceful and attractive surroundings. The Mill was a great base for Worcester, Stratford upon Avon, Evesham and the north Cotswolds. They have set the quality bar very high.

Grafton Mill has been renovated to a very high standard, the little touches were nice, such as the welcome pack of bread, milk, eggs, tea, coffee, chocolate buttons, home made cake and the Prosecco, and the loaf to feed the ducks and geese!

The nice vases of fresh flowers around the Mill and out on the newly built patio and gazebo area. The mill is in a wonderful position, near to the M5, and to the Cotswolds. I wouldn’t recommend for families with very small children, due to the open water of the mill pond. Also, due to the steep stairs to the two upper floors, anyone with any mobility problems would struggle.

There were lots of places to visit close by, Worcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, and very nice pubs close by if you don't want to cook. I can't recommend this property highly enough, I would give it 10 plus right across the board. I would book this property again without any hesitation.

Our holiday here was fantastic.

A perfect spot for a relaxed break. Myself and my partner spent 5 days here and are already planning our next trip. The mill was extremely clean, and had every comfort you could want. There are lovely walks around and some amazing sites to see, as well as some great breakfast restaurants and pubs.

The idyllic setting and the charm of the mill enticed us from the start.

Jane and Allan, the owners were friendly and helpful if needed. With so many lovely properties the WiFi can be a bit hit and miss. Everything was set up.and provided for a comfortable and we'll facilitated stay. We hope.to return. I think that's the best recommendation we can give.

We booked this for April, but lockdown prevented us from going, so we rebooked for October, however our family from Switzerland were still unable to travel, and we were all so looking forward to a break, so we ended up here as a couple on our own.

We have not been disappointed, the mill has been renovated beautifully, keeping many of it's historical features intact. The owners live on site, and gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival despite the heavy rain, and the welcome pack provided more than enough to start your week. The cottage is seeped in history, warm, roomy yet still cosy, and has everything provided, and we only had to ask if we needed anything. Being laid out on three floors means stairs are involved so be aware if you are not used to them, it's all part of the lovely experience in this cottage. The views from the many and varied windows as you climb up the three floors are beautiful, the mill pond and stream on either side driving the water wheel, which is transferred as a delightful rotating feature into the kitchen, the wildlife is in abundance as you walk around the cottage grounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return with our family in the future, when things get back to normal.

Grafton Mil exceeded all our expectations as it was more beautiful than i expected, also the Mill owners Jane and Alan were the best hosts tat any one could ask for and were a great pleasure to meet and spend some lovely time with.

We have been to a lot of holiday homes over 44 years from Scotland to Cornwall .

This home far exceeds any that we have been to. It is a very well equipped and comfortable holiday home in extensive, beautiful grounds with lots of wildlife. Managed to see an otter on our last day! We were greeted with a superb welcome pack and the hosts were very friendly and helpful and were always on hand with helpful information with regard to the surrounding area. There attention to detail was outstanding and they made us feel completely at home. They have created a very special place. We were only there for a week but they made us feel like we had been friends for years! Looking forward to a return visit. Grafton Mill is certainly one of the best properties we have ever stayed in! The owners are extremely helpful and friendly, nothing at all is too much trouble. The property is set in the most beautiful grounds, full of wildlife, places to sit and relax, we wouldn’t be bored if we never left the property all week, it’s so peaceful. The cottage was very well equipped and included a lovely welcome hamper and birthday cake for my mum. In light of the coronavirus the owner pointed out she had sanitizer everything with extra care. The grounds were beautiful and allowed us to enjoy the outside space and wildlife with lovely seating, bird tables, nest boxes and hides. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back to this cottage.

This is the best cottage holiday we have stayed in.

The Mill is beautiful and the grounds immaculate and stunning - we all enjoyed feeding the geese and ducks and spotting the deer in the woods. Jane and Allan are lovely and really went that extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect and are always there if you need anything. The extra surprises of the welcome hamper and the pumpkin and sweets for our boys on Halloween were very touching. The Mill is 5* - so comfortable and clean and smells fantastic with super views from the lounge windows of the river. We really enjoyed the surrounding area and there is loads to do in Worcester (Cathedral and tower, escape room experience at Cyber Q) and Stratford upon Avon, as well as National Trust properties such as Croome. There are lots of great local pubs serving delicious food - we particularly liked the Flyford. The countryside around Grafton Mill is a pretty and unspoilt part of the world and we saw lots of wildlife - woodpecker, peregrine falcon and buzzards to name a few... I very much hope we return.

Jane and Allan our hosts have worked so hard to make their guests stay as comfortable as possible.

I would say the Mill has definitely been the most unusual accommodation we have enjoyed can't fault it. Worth coming half way around the world too.

This was our second visit and two days after arriving back home we have booked for 2020!

I think that says it all; what a wonderful place and made so welcome by our hosts Allan and Jane whose friendly, generous and helpful attitude makes for a very comfortable stay. The setting is just perfect and it’s a wildlife haven, just love to see the family of deer visiting the grounds most days. Even if it rains the views from the windows are stunning. Lots of relaxing places to sit and just enjoy the atmosphere. Plenty of interesting places to visit nearby and within easy reach of the beautiful Stratford on Avon. Think we will always want to come back here, awards are well deserved.

The property and hosts are delightful. The mill has been beautifully restored and has everything you could possibly need. The grounds are immaculate and a wildlife haven, my boys especially loved the fishing. The area has lots to offer and we will definitely come again.

We wanted to book a holiday for a special occasion and couldn't believe our luck when we found Grafton Mill on Sykes website.

It looked perfect and so it turned out to be. Jane and Allen are wonderful, generous hosts who have created this superb holiday home, set in idyllic grounds. The mill cottage is beautiful and is equipped with everything you might wish for, all to the highest standard. The location offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants and is ideally situated for easy access to all the attractions of the this superb part of the country. The whole place is breathtakingly beautiful, inside and out, it's the best place we have ever been to.

The cottage is quirky, warm, comfy unbelievably clean and has absolutely everything you need. The hosts are really lovely, friendly, kind and very welcoming and so generous with the welcome pack. The wildlife we saw was so wonderful, ducks, geese, swans, kingfisher, squirrels, woodpecker and every eve a beautiful little deer came by to say hello. We did not want to leave and we felt that this place was literally fit for the queen!!

It’s an absolutely lovely place the pictures didn’t do it justice the hosts Alan and Jane were brilliant so accommodating nothing was too much trouble Alan was a mindful of information my daughter and her husband stayed with us too and she was up at 5 o clock am to go and feed the ducks geese and swans !

The house itself was very clean and spacious everything was there too the town was a drive of fifteen minutes where there was an Asda and a market I highly recommend this place I didn’t want to leave

Grafton Mill exceeded our expectations.

The property was conveniently located, comfortable and a visual delight in every respect. Jane and Alan were excellent hosts, being welcoming, attentive and friendly. We would certainly like to revisit Grafton Mill.

Fantastic old mill renovated extremely well very peaceful location beautiful grounds owners very friendly and welcoming on arrival had a hamper with with wine tea coffee etc plus a lovely home made lemon drizzle cake plus a loaf of bread for us to feed the ducks would defiantly recommend it to anyone looking for a great relaxing break Les & carol

This was an absolutely fantastic experience.

The cottage is quirky and very comfortable. It’s also very well equipped. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and the ducks, geese and swans kept the children well entertained. Our hosts were brilliant and left us and incredible welcome package with something for each of us. If we don’t go back, I think my children would never forgive me - “best holiday ever”!

We loved the property!

Jane and Allan were so welcoming and the mill was very homely when we arrived, warmed up for our arrival and with a lovely, thoughtful hamper of goodies. Every detail had been thought of, the facilities were great. The decor was beautiful, and the grounds were stunning. We will definitely be returning.

We were greeted in such a lovely way and manner.

Jane and Allan made us feel as if we were family members returning after several years absence. The property was totally spotless and very comfortable. Grafton Mill is such a beautiful property. The cogs and rotating wheel really enhances the property. (The wheel moves silently). The grounds are bigger than expected and kept to such a high standard. I would thoroughly recommend Grafton Mill. My wife and I have been using Sykes for years now and Grafton Mill is our number 1.

The Mill is an amazing place to have a quiet break away from it all, whilst still feeling like a home from home.

It is immaculate and perfectly equipped. We loved it and we will be returning very soon.

Everything about Grafton Mill was superb .

The grounds were beautiful. The mill itself was immaculate and clearly had been restored lovingly and to the highest possible standard . The original features were absolutely fantastic . The interior decor was tasteful and also to the highest level and yet managed to make it extremely comfortable and welcoming . A lovely welcome basket on our arrival , and bread to feed the ducks ! Al and Jane were lovely hosts extremely helpful with advice about the area and the mill without being intrusive . An absolutely fabulous stay , there were 4 in our party and all if us would give this the highest of recommendations ..... it’s a ten from us and some !

We loved the large gardens, the working watermill and feeding the swans ,Geese and Ducks every morning .

This house is tops!

Jane has thought of everything - it's 100% in every way, even beautifully &:expensively decorated.

This property was superb.

I can’t recommend it highly enough. The hosts are wonderful.. nothing was too much trouble, happy to help in every way. It was my Mums 80th when we went and not only did they leave a hamper of milk, bread, tea, coffee & eggs but also a box of chocolates, a bunch of flowers, a bottle of presseco and balloons! What a wonderful gesture.

The Mill is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay.

The grounds were an unexpected bonus with the swans, geese, ducks and birds a constant delight - being able to walk around the 9 acres every day made the holiday very special. Inside the Mill is everything anybody would need for a holiday and the attention to detail is evident everywhere with lots of special little touches including a welcome pack with a homemade cake! The location is great, very easy to find with lots of places to visit and explore.

Grafton Mill is a most wonderful place to stay.

The owners Allan and Jane are so very welcoming and very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We received an extremely generous welcome hamper and were absolutely amazed when we saw the beautiful surroundings in which this property sits, it literally took our breath away! The Mill itself is clean and very well equipped with beautiful views from all of the windows. We fed the Swans,, Ducks and Geese everyday and a small family of deer appeared in the grounds several times. We didn’t see the otter, but apparently he’s there. A lovely summer house and lots of sitting places to spot the variety of Birds, our favourite the Kingfisher spotted several times. We have already booked for next year and we only arrived home yesterday, that says it all!

Quite simply - this holiday cottage is SUPERB!

The working water mill has been lovingly restored over a number of years by the owners, Alan and Jane, and is furnished to a very high standard. The grounds, with lakes, bridges and well manicured gardens were an absolute delight to relax and enjoy, with immediate access to public footpaths over the pleasant Worcestershire countryside. The ground floor kitchen contained everything you may need for a cottage holiday - nothing had been forgotten; whilst the 'welcome pack' provided by Jane was exceptionally generous. The working water wheel, part of which had been incorporated within the kitchen was a feat of Alan's engineering skills; cleverly encased in toughened glass to nullify any sound. The grounds were a magnate for wildlife, with swans, ducks, geese, deer and kingfishers being regular visitors. Worcester and Pershore are within a few minutes drive; whilst The Mill is well located for touring both the Cotswolds and Malvern Hills. We highly recommend The Mill as an exceptional property and were very pleased to note that Sykes Cottages had presented a special award to the owners recognising the overall excellence of this unique holiday property,

Fabulous house with fantastic hosts.

The location is so tranquil . The house is set in 9 acres of well kept grounds surrounded with an abundance of wildlife. On our visit we watched wild deer grazing amongst the trees and an otter in the river. Within easy reach of Worcester , Stratford upon Avon and villages in the Cotswolds. A must visit. We will certainly return.

A lot of thought and work has gone into renovating the watermill and grounds, which are extensive, with lots of ducks, geese and wildlife.

The property is extremely comfortable with everything possible to make your holiday a success. Jane and Allan, the owners who live within the grounds, are lovely people and very welcoming. Lots of interesting places to visit locally.

This was by far the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in, you only have to read the visitors feedback.

The Mill was decorated to the highest standards. Spotlessly clean and well cared for. The internal design and furnishings were 5 star. Kitchen was high spec with everything provided. The pond alongside and local wildlife all added to make this a high quality cottage.

We have stayed in several cottages over the past few years and this was definitely one of the best.

It has been beautifully restored by the owners Jane and Alan who were lovely hosts. The house was very comfortable and very well equipped and there was a lovely welcoming pack awaiting us.We would definitely recommend this cottage and we hope to return again.

If one of the questions was what did you dislike then I would have great difficulty finding anything resembling a dislike.

It was that good. The Hosts were delightful and caring. The property and extensive grounds were immaculate and all done with careful thought and taste. The location is ideal with you being able to see so much within 20 miles travelling. If you are a National Trust member then you have so much to choose from again in close proximity. If you have a smartphone ensure you load the NT app. We will certainly be revisiting next year. You will not be disappointed booking this property.

The quality of the Mill's respectful restoration is extremely high and finished to the very highest standard. Grafton Mill is 5 star. Stay there.

We spent a week at Grafton Mill over the Christmas 2016 period and it was quite magical.

The property is set over three stories, we used the main bedroom for two of us and there was a twin spare room that we used as a walk in wardrobe but could have slept two more, and a bathroom with a cracking shower. The middle floor has a study with a lovely desk and an amply sized living room with a big TV. Downstairs is a large kitchen with all mod cons and a working part of the mill, as well as another TV. In terms of comfort, the central heating and hot water were perfect, it was a cold snap in UK and we were never cold (and we're from Africa), the shower belted out the water and there were plenty of towels to dry off with. From every room there are views over the duck pond and grounds which gives a feeling of the country life and a real serenity, though we were only 6 miles away from family and friends in Worcester; we also made shopping trips to Cheltenham which was less than half an hour away, train trips to London and Liverpool from Pershore station less than ten minutes away, a really handy location for us. All in all the property and location were a real hit with us and I'd have no qualms in highly recommending a stay here.

Grafton Mill is one of the nicest properties that my partner and I have ever stayed in.

The warm welcome on arrival by the owners made us feel at home the minute we arrived. This welcome continued through the week and made the holiday special. The Mill it's self has been refurbished to a very high standard of comfort and decoration. Nothing has been forgotten in the way of kitchen utensils, crockery, or linen. The grounds have been beautifully laid out having had the benefit of the owners continued hard work to keep everything in pristine condition from the lawns to the duck nesting boxes. A truly memorable place to stay. I am frightened to say to much more in case the Mill becomes so popular I won't be able to find a slot to re-book next year.
