    “We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Grafton Mill, and it genuinely felt like we were welcomed as part of the family.”

    From the moment we arrived, Jane and Allan made us feel completely at home with their warm hospitality and thoughtful touches throughout our stay.     From the moment we arrived, Jane and Allan made us feel completely at home with their warm hospitality and thoughtful touches throughout our stay. The setting is peaceful, full of character, and beautifully maintained. The mill itself is steeped in history, and has been lovingly restored to provide a perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. We stayed during an unusually hot spell, and Jane and Allan went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable – providing fans, a cooler, and even swapping out the bedding for a minimum tog-rated quilt. It’s that level of attention to detail that made all the difference. Our kids absolutely loved it, exploring the spacious grounds, engaging with nature including an evening walk with Jane and looking forward each day to feeding the geese and ducks. Since there was so much fruit this year, the kids got to pick some apples, pears, and plums from the trees. They turned it into a tasty crumble for all of us to enjoy. It’s rare to find such genuine, thoughtful hospitality, and it really made our stay feel incredibly special. Whether you're after a relaxing countryside escape or a home away from home, Grafton Mill is a true gem.

The property

Grafton Mill is a Grade II listed characterful watermill set in the expansive grounds of the owner's home in the Worcestershire countryside, near the charming village of Grafton Flyford.

Set over three floors, the property sleeps four people in two second floor bedrooms, one of which is a double and the other is a twin.

Both bedrooms have exposed floor and ceiling beams and there is also a second floor shower room, a ground floor basin and WC, a ground floor well-equipped and cheery kitchen with breakfast area and a cosy first floor sitting room.

Outside, guests are welcome to stroll around the owner’s extensive grounds and delight in the birdlife around the large duck ponds.

There is also off road parking for three cars and lockable bike storage.

Grafton Mill is a picturesque and irresistibly charming cottage perfect for a memorable holiday at any time of year.

GRAFTON FLYFORD

Pershore 7 miles; Worcester 9 miles; Evesham 12 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 17 miles.

Grafton Flyford is a pretty Worcestershire village situated in open countryside typifying rural England. Supposedly used as a model for Radio 4's The Archers, this lovely area offers many walks in all directions with the Millennium Way and Wychavon Way passing close by. Visit Grafton Wood Nature Reserve, a SSSI boasting many rare species and idyllic walks. Nearby, Flyford Flavell has a pub and the surrounding countryside is a wonder to explore, famous for its fruit growing, and brimming with a fascinating history. Also nearby Bredon Hill is home to an Iron Age Fort, Roman ramparts and numerous ancient standing stones. The picturesque market town of Pershore, settled beside the River Avon, boasts a Norman abbey, delightful Georgian architecture and an excellent range of shops, cafes and restaurants. Evesham is an historic market town with independent shops and eateries, Droitwich Spa, with Britain's only natural brine spa, and Broadway, reputedly the most beautiful village in England with its honey coloured stone cottages are all only a short drive away, and also within reach are the Malvern Hills offering stunning views and walks suitable for most abilities. Many unspoilt Cotswold towns and villages are close by as well, not to mention Warwick with its imposing medieval castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, the home of William Shakespeare and Worcester, a charming riverside city. Worcester is known for its beautiful cathedral with its Royal tombs and medieval cloisters, and the city is full of history and architecture and includes the Guild Hall, which dates back to 1721, Friar Street with its independent boutiques and restaurants, as well as a medieval townhouse, and the 16th century Tudor House. Also the River Severn runs through Worcester and offers a number of activities, including boat trips and walks and cycle rides along the banks. Grafton Flyford is an ideal base for exploring all that Worcestershire has to offer.
