“Lots of weeds on driveway made it look tatty.”

Gate clearly not been used for months so couldn't see name of property and garden not dog safe. Broken glass solar lights left lying on steps outside - really dangerous. No milk provided and no bin bags. Used sponges for cleaning dishes left and used earbuds found in main bedroom. No mirror in main bedroom (with bath). Lights behind bathroom mirrors in bedroom no 2 and cloakroom didn't work, hinge for opening window in bedroom no 2 was broken

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We would like to clarify a few of the points raised. The electric gate is used regularly, as the property is occupied on a weekly basis throughout the season. The property is located in the countryside, and we do not advertise it as being fully enclosed or “dog safe.” We are fortunate to have local wildlife visiting the garden, and extensive fencing could negatively impact this. We therefore ask guests to supervise their pets responsibly while enjoying the outdoor space. Thank you for bringing the mirror lighting issue to our attention. We will investigate and resolve this promptly. However, we would note that there are additional lighting sources in each bathroom, and mirrors are provided in all bedrooms and bathrooms throughout the property. We were disappointed to read some of these comments, particularly as no concerns were raised during your stay. Had we been made aware of any issues at the time, we would have done our best to address them immediately. We always strive to provide an enjoyable and comfortable stay for our guests and appreciate feedback that helps us improve our service. Kind regards, Chloe & Jamie Property Owner

About the location

HARVINGTON

Bretforton 7 miles; Broadway 10 miles; Cheltenham 20 miles.

The thriving village of Harvington is situated in beautiful Worcestershire countryside close to the border with Warwickshire and on the Blossom Trail. Harvington boasts an excellent well-stocked farm shop and two traditional village pubs, one of which is a triple award-winning CAMRA pub and both serve home-cooked food and local real ales. Harvington also has fishing lakes, a cricket pitch and an 18 hole golf course, and many walks can be enjoyed from the village, with the long-distant footpaths of Shakespeare's Avon Way, Heart of England Way and Wychavon Way running close by. The nearby village of Bretforton boasts its own community-run village shop and a 600-year old inn, owned by the National Trust, which hosts many music, folk and food and drink festivals throughout the year. The quintessential English village of Broadway has individual shops and boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and hotels including the world-renowned Lygon Arms, which has been popular for centuries and now offers spa facilities, enjoyed at pre-arranged times. The surrounding countryside is famous for its fruit-growing and market gardening, and Harvington is a great base for exploring the many unspoilt Cotswold towns and villages, along with Cheltenham Spa, with its Gold Cup Festival, the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean and Worcester, with its magnificent cathedral. The birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, is just a short drive away and offers many historic buildings, a theatre and the pretty River Avon. Regular bus services from Harvington can take you to Stratford-upon-Avon, Evesham, Warwick and Lemington Spa. The area has an abundance of National Trust properties, museums, lovely walks, golf courses, fishing and cycle trails, making it a great base for a memorable holiday at any time of year.
