When found and drove in no security lights were working even though they had them !! it was pitch black and cudn't find hose where key was located, while trying to find key tripped over a thistle root at the front .house was nice inside when eventually got in . when we went to use oven tray it was covered in dried fat !!no bin bags provided and black bin was over half full and had to put some rubbish in green bin .broken drain in front garden, weeds growing everywhere in front, one sunbed for 6 people broken window handle in our bedroom . bath towels more like hand towels . i did ring before i went after reading previous reviews with some of these points and told they would be addressed !! none of them were .i stayed on the ragley estate last year in a 4 bed house that had a jacuzzi and bbq over looking the showground and was cheaper than little acre.if garden was given a bit more TLC and other issues were addressed i would have given a totally different review . far too much money for the issues the cottage has . such a shame .

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We’re particularly concerned by your comment that you contacted someone prior to your arrival and were advised that the issues raised in previous reviews would be addressed. We did not receive any communication from Sykes regarding concerns before your stay, so we’re unsure who you spoke to or what specific assurances were given. If you could let Sykes know who you spoke with and what was discussed, it would help us understand where this miscommunication occurred. We’re sorry you had difficulty locating the property and key box. Sykes provides guests with directions, including a What3Words location, to guide you directly to the entrance and key safe. If there is anything you feel could be improved within those instructions, we’d welcome your feedback so we can work with Sykes to make them clearer for future guests. Regarding the towels, we provide one bath towel per guest, which is in line with our property description. We appreciate that some guests prefer larger towels, and in those cases we recommend bringing additional towels to suit personal preference. With regard to the garden, the prolonged spell of hot, dry weather has made it particularly difficult to maintain the grounds as we would ideally like. During our busiest season, when the property has back-to-back bookings and many guests bring dogs, we have to be mindful about when we apply weed killer to ensure it is safe for both guests and their pets. We therefore have limited opportunities to treat weeds during the summer months and schedule this work where it can be done safely. We continue to do our best to keep everything tidy and presentable, although some areas have inevitably been affected by the conditions. We do appreciate your comments, and where maintenance items have been highlighted, they will be reviewed. Thank you again for your feedback. Property Owner

The thriving village of Harvington is situated in beautiful Worcestershire countryside close to the border with Warwickshire and on the Blossom Trail. Harvington boasts an excellent well-stocked farm shop and two traditional village pubs, one of which is a triple award-winning CAMRA pub and both serve home-cooked food and local real ales. Harvington also has fishing lakes, a cricket pitch and an 18 hole golf course, and many walks can be enjoyed from the village, with the long-distant footpaths of Shakespeare's Avon Way, Heart of England Way and Wychavon Way running close by. The nearby village of Bretforton boasts its own community-run village shop and a 600-year old inn, owned by the National Trust, which hosts many music, folk and food and drink festivals throughout the year. The quintessential English village of Broadway has individual shops and boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and hotels including the world-renowned Lygon Arms, which has been popular for centuries and now offers spa facilities, enjoyed at pre-arranged times. The surrounding countryside is famous for its fruit-growing and market gardening, and Harvington is a great base for exploring the many unspoilt Cotswold towns and villages, along with Cheltenham Spa, with its Gold Cup Festival, the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean and Worcester, with its magnificent cathedral.
