Once again, anyv excellent stay in a lovely location.

Many small improvements in an already comfortable and well fitted out home. The parking was good but as always the streets to Diglis Avenue are narrow and complex to us Americans. Did miss seeing the gardener. Will be back next year.

This was our base after traveling from Scotland and joining up with friend to start our canal boating experience. Your home was warm, clean and comfortable. the easy access to the river walk was an added bonus.

We recently stayed at Florence Villas, booked through Sykes Cottages (Booking Ref: 5A2O8-24-EN), and unfortunately, our experience was marred by a series of issues related to the advertised off-road parking.

Despite the listing clearly stating that off-road parking was available, we were unable to access it for the majority of our stay due to ongoing construction. This forced us to rely on paid street parking, which not only added unexpected costs but also led to our hire car being scratched. On one occasion, our vehicle was completely blocked in, preventing us from returning it on time and incurring further charges. We were traveling from the U.S. with two small children, and the lack of parking made daily logistics unnecessarily stressful—long walks with groceries and kids in tow were not what we anticipated when booking a property that promised convenience. We raised these concerns with Sykes Cottages multiple times, requesting a reimbursement or discount to reflect the disruption and financial impact. A holiday should be relaxing, not riddled with logistical challenges and unexpected expenses. I hope Sykes Cottages takes this feedback seriously

Superb location on the riverside walk, close to the centre of Worcester.

Sitting in the front garden early in the morning and in the cool of the evening, watching swans, boats and even an otter, was sublime. The house was comfortable with all that you need

The location of the property cannot be faulted.

Proximity to the river and its walks is perfect. Close to Cathedral and city centre. However, standards of cleanliness are not 5*, particularly in bathroom and kitchen, both of which require some thorough cleaning. There was an issue with the shower. This was partially resolved quickly. In our opinion, with some TLC, the property would return to a full 5*.

A lovely cottage overlooking the river in the heart of Worcester.

Well equipped, had everything we wanted. Would book again.

Superb location by the river,loved watching the boats go past.lovely river walk to the town centre. Excellent facilities in the city of Worcester plenty of shops and amenities.

Home is even better than last year, well fitted out and comfortable.

Glad to see the gardener is still doing an excellent job. As before, an excellent location in a fine city. We will return!

A perfect house in the perfect location.

There were a few issues with the property.

The living area and dining area were very comfortable and we enjoyed the river views. The house was very warm. - the stairs are very steep and unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. -There is no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk. -There are no toiletries whatsoever - there are no bedside tables so everything must be put on the floor -there is no dressing table -strange silver mini sofa in bedroom where there could be a dressing table. - extremely poor shower performance - soiled oven gloves - dirty stained sponge in bathroom, presumably to clean the bath? - silicone around shower is stained and tatty - used sponge for washing up in kitchen - no coffee table or side tables - chipped paint on 'silver' painted plastic mirror in bathroom - sticky stain under kitchen bin - dust around bath - mattresses are very hard It generally looked a little tatty and tired and could definitely do with some tidying up and a thorough clean. I don't like saying these things but we were disappointed. the photos on your site show a nest of tables and a fire in the living room but neither of these items exist.

We did not stay.

It was very disappointing to find: 1. Upon arrival that dogs were not allowed upstairs. Our dog doesn't go upstairs at home, but on vacation it is nice to put her bed on the landing at least for the first night. I cannot find where this restriction is specified in advance. Not a show stopper but.... 2. Significant and noisy internal renovation ongoing in the adjoining property. This was ironic as our requirement to book was to vacate our house during building works that have been delayed. Other properties we have looked at in the UK warn of works on an adjacent property and some offer reductions with this being advised. We live locally, and as there was no cancellation refund available, we tried to enjoy the property and location during the day, but the noise made this impossible. Terrible!

Absolutely lovely home.

Short walk to City and sights of interest, ultra convenient. House was well equipped, tidy and comfortable.

A well appointed cottage with access to all local amenities.

Beautiful views of the river and tow path. Worcester is a lovely city and has everything to offer those looking for a city break. The cottage is comfortable, with lovely, quirky gardens front and rear. Weather permitting, the rear garden offers shade, the front is bathed in afternoon & evening sun. We did have some cleanliness issues, which we spoke to the owner about. He assured me he would be addressing those issues and I am happy to leave it at that.

A gem of a home.

The location is excellent, perfect for two weeks without a car. The house was very well fitted out with all we needed. The house was clean but showing some end of season signs of needing minor upkeep. We will definitely be staying there again. Highlights were the view, the meticulous gardener, and having everything to hand for the stay. The information booklet needs improvement.

We loved our stay at Florence Villas!

The location is superb, the river view is stunning and being able to leave the car (in an off road space) and walk into the city was a huge bonus. The house is very peaceful, despite being so close to the city, and very well equipped and comfortable. We definitely hope to return next year!

For the owner: A well presented property, excellent location both for river watching and for easy walk into the city.

The shower cubicle has mould around the seals which need replacing. For Sykes: Access by car to the property should be better described, possibly including a map/plan. The shower is not a walk-in one; you have to step into the cubicle. There is no mention of the steps into the property from the rear, nor from the front - which are particularly steep, with no hand rail. Those with any mobility problems would find these steps and those to the upper floors difficult to negotiate.

A great location for cricket and the town.

Loved to sit out and watch the river. Saw our first otter ever. Very useful to be able to park two cars. Highly recommend this property.

For a reunion of friends, it was ideal.

Cottage, location & city all great for our needs. Made our time so enjoyable. Only a few points that would have made it perfect. We couldn’t adjust shower, it was scolding hot. Also due to unusually hot weather a sun parasol for the front garden would have been appreciated. As 2 out of three of us arrived by train a welcome pack would have also been lovely so we could have made a cuppa before finding a nearby shop.

We loved it very much and I'm missing all the sounds of the river this morning!

The property was excellent great location and lots to watch on the river it was lovely and warm and there was enough comfortable chairs for all six of us the beds were also very comfortable.

It did however lack some things in the kitchen there were no instructions for the oven meaning cooking tea on our first night took longer than expected and also no rack on the grill pan. Also no sugar bowl or dish to serve salad in and due to the dishwasher could do with more mugs. These are all only very minor things and did not detract from a lovely property in a great location for a wonderful weekend full of great memories

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Florence Villa on the banks of the river Severn.

The cottage was perfectly clean and comfortable just as described. We had some nice walks along the river taking in the stunning scenery of Worcester on the way, and really enjoyed watching the swans. Communication with the landlord was spot on, enough to be reassuring but not intrusive. We would happily return one day.

We had a very enjoyable break in Worcester.

The property was in a fantastic location with a very easy walk into the city centre. Plenty of good restaurants available. Would like to stay in the same cottage sometime in the future.

This house is in a fabulous location.

Fronting straight onto the River Severn, the daily parade of canal boats, rowers and seemingly hundreds of swans was a delight. There was also a stream of pedestrians on the canal path heading into or out of the city centre, several stopped for a chat when we were sitting in the front garden. Just a five minute walk into the shopping centre or the cricket ground. Easy drive out of the city into the Malvern Hills and other attractions. House was well presented, clean and comfortable.

Nicely appointed villa in a very pleasant setting.

Access instructions were clear and we had no issues getting in and out. The place was spotless and nicely fitted out. We had a lovely stay.

Brilliant position close to town and an easy pleasant walk.

Property has a few issues, parking can be a problem generally caused by inconsiderate neighbour parking. There are very steep steps in the front garden down to the gate which could cause problems for anyone with impaired mobility, likewise the stairs in the property are very narrow on the turn.

We where dissatisfied with the property’s cleanliness and overall maintenance.

Lovely seated area out the front which was completely overgrown with weeds. Property is unkept and unloved. According to Sykes property owner became unresponsive when trying to deal with my complaint. Great location.

Had a brilliant stay at Florence Villas, the location is fantastic.

Only a short walk to the centre of Worcester and yet set in a tranquil, quiet and relaxing setting. The house was perfect for our adult family of 5 (plus dog) celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday. Would recommend to family and friends.

The house has a lovely location with views of the river.

We really enjoyed watching all the swans and rowers going past, and there are some lovely walks alongside the river and meadows. It is also very conveniently located to the centre of Worcester. The house was very clean and comfortable. More cutlery and crockery would be useful to make use of the dishwasher.

We had an amazing stay at Florence villa.

The village is just a walk up the path there is a wonderful circular walk along the river which we did daily with our dog who was welcome. We did not get the chance to take in sights but will be back to do those at a later stage. The villa was neat and has everything one would need. The owners were amazing.

A wonderful property in a perfect location with a genuinely lovely owner.

We stayed here for many weeks while we were between houses. It really felt like home. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We brought our dog so it was everything we needed to have nearby parking, a garden, a nearby enclosed dog walking park and a meadow opposite the river, while also being a 10-minute walk from the town centre. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

1st - 8th October 2021 As the very first tenants of this property we were delighted with both the location, feel and quality of it.

It's in a lovely quiet location right on the riverside, literally a 2 minute walk to the Cathedral. You are in the city centre but feel as if you are in the country. There's parking for 2 cars at the rear however it is very tight and the next door neighbour parks very close. Worcester itself is a lovely city, easy to walk around, some great buildings, superb restaurants and cafes (recommend Massalla Lounge and PappaCaffe)
