Chapel Cottage

This is a gem of a property - in the middle of nowhere but close to a couple of nice towns.

The walking from the front door is excellent and the hosts could not be more accommodating. Eating pastries on the patio in the morning sun, looking at the old chapel is a memory to treasure. The bed is super comfortable. It was great to be on the fringe of farm life with beautiful birdsong ever present, and no background traffic noise.

We knew we were going to love this property as soon as we rolled up and saw the ruined chapel in the owners garden.

There was a thoughtful welcome pack awaiting us which was lovely. The property was clean and very comfortable. The little outside sitting area was great too. The only suggestions I could give is a couple of chairs in the bedroom for laying clothes on and hooks in the bathroom. We would definitely like to come again.

This was a lovely cottage, located on a lovely farm.

Welcomed by the hosts with a generous hamper. Nearest town is about an 8 minute drive. Relaxing and beautiful walks available on the doorstep and nearby. 100% recommend would come again. We brought our German shepherd and he settled in really quickly and got comfortable, enclosed garden for him was perfect for the downtime he wasn't on walks.

Lovely little cottage for one or two people and dog.

Most comfortable bed. Great bathroom plenty of hot water. All you need in kitchen. Very quiet. Lovely walks from cottage. Situated between Malverns and Cotswolds so great for access to both places. Very helpful owner. Would recommend

A very nice and well-appointed cottage in lovely countryside, and with plenty of interest locally and further afield.

Situated on a working farm, but quiet and relaxing. Well heated for a December visit. Recommended.

A comfortable cottage in a wonderful location with a fantastic network of footpaths literally on the doorstep, but also close to pretty villages such as Elmley Castle and Overbury, in an attractive part of Worcestershire and within striking distance of the Cotswolds.

This cottage was ideal for us.

We enjoyed looking round the area and regret not finding time to do the Bredon Hill walk. We visited Evesham (slightly run down), Pershore was good, Stratford was an easy journey and was good to view, the Malvern Hills for a walk and, again and easy journey. There was a lovely welcome basket with treats for us when we arrived.

Chapel Cottage was amazing!

It was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality utensils. Bedroom was really comfortable. Shower was really good. Our stay was great from start to finish. Lots of lovely walks right from the doorstep. Nice welcome. Thank you.

Lovely place to stay for 2.

Very clean and comfortable. Welcome basket with strawberries, cake and apple juice very welcome. Small area to sit out with lovely view. The surrounding area is so peaceful with a lovely local pub to visit.

We were very happy with the cottage, we enjoyed staying at the farm, and the owners were friendly and helpful.

The cottage was high speck and had everything we needed. It is very quiet there, but that suited us. The scenery was very good and we loved the animals on the farm

This cottage is a gem - quiet and comfortable in the heart of the countryside with good walking from the doorstep.

Equally it allows access to lots of interesting towns that are within an easy drive - so lots of choice for eating out. The wildlife is abundant, though we didn't see the little owl that sometimes sits on a woodpile on the farm. The farm animals create a picturesque back drop to some of the walks and there were 4 gorgeous lambs in the farmyard. The hosts are very welcoming farmers.

The directions to the cottage were very basic and needs improving.

Our hosts were very welcoming and always happy to say hello when we saw them. The space is lovely and just what we needed as a little getaway.

Lovely cottage and location.

So quiet and peaceful. Lovely welcome basket and joy of joys milk in the fridge for a much needed cup of tea. At this time of year ( beginning of February) an additional heater in the living room would have been an asset as it was a tad chilly in the evenings. Would definitely visit again.

A lovely cottage. The sofa was not the most comfortable, but that would be our only (minor) issue!

Very quiet which is what we like. Nice basket of goodies on arrival. Could do with a bigger settee in the lounge area but everything else was fine.

The property was very well maintained and very clean.

It was equiped with everything you may require . The owners were very accomodating and helpful. The place is in an ideal situation for exploring the local area.

Arrived in torrential rain to find a lovely welcome box, including treats for our dog.

The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of walks direct from the cottage so no need to use the car. If we did plenty of interesting places to visit nearby.

We had a lovely time.

The setting was very quiet. The cottage has nice big rooms, plenty of space to store away luggage. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and good water pressure. Nice large towels were supplied. It was a shame that the sofa was uncomfortable. A mirror in the bedroom would have been handy.

This has to be the best cottage I have stayed in.

A wonderful atmosphere set in beautiful countryside; the 12th Century Chapel was a bonus. The owners were friendly and helpful. I will certainly be returning next year for longer.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location, ideal for us and our Spaniel.

Pub in Emley Castle is fabulous and only a 20 minute walk across the fields. For a longer walk/run Bredon Hill is accessible straight from the cottage. Owners were available if needed and very welcoming, couldn’t fault the place, we’ll definitely be back.

We loved our stay in Chapel cottage.

It was just right for the two of us and the basket of goodies was lovely. We went and bought more apple juice from Pershore to take home.

Wonderful and helpful hosts. The cottage had everything we needed, lovely view of the chapel ruins from the small garden. There were a few cobwebs that we noticed but otherwise the place was clean. I think the pillows could do with an upgrade and a mirror in the bedroom for getting ready would be useful as there was only a tiny one in the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again :)

We loved our stay at the cottage.

There are some lovely walks in the area. It was very nice to see all of the new born lambs and Liz let us look at the cows that were very friendly (fantastic). The cottage is well presented and maintained and we were presently surprised to find a welcome pack waiting for us which even included a packet of dog treats. The only thing which would have slightly improved our stay would have been a comfier settee. But that is a very small thing for probably an ideal world.

Loved our stay but a mirror in the bedroom would be nice for when drying hair etc instead of going into the lounge but apart from that it was lovely

We found Chapel Cottage to be comfortable and we had everything we needed.

A relaxing place to stay. My only criticism is Chapel Cottage is dog friendly which is great but the garden to the side which is a good bonus to have needs the grass to be kept short in order for people to keep it dog mess clean.

Lovely little cottage very well equipped friendly hosts, a nice welcome pack on arrival which was very much appreciated enjoyed by us and our dog.

Great location for discovering the surrounding area, very peaceful surroundings great for a chilled week would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Chapel Cottage was the perfect stay for us.

Peaceful, a beautiful view of the Chapple ruins and lovely dark skies on starry nights. The walks in the area would suit everyone, from an occasional walker to the experienced walker. The cottage was perfectly clean and tidy, with everything you could need, including a nice welcome basket with bread, cordial, a cake and even fresh milk in the fridge, meaning you can settle in without having to potter about getting provisions. A lovely bonus was the views of the lambing shed which took me straight back to my childhood days growing up on a farm. Altogether, I think you can say it was just the spot for us.

We enjoyed our stay and the owners were very friendly , helpful and the property was very nice with all the facilities one needed, and in a good location to the lovely surrounding area and beyond.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location, masses of traffic free dog walks from the door.

Very very muddy - the owners very kindly allowed us to use the hose in the yard to wash off our very dirty dog - she had a whale of a time running through the fields and bogs but boy did she get filthy. Very thoughtfully layed out and equipped. There was even a torch in the bedside drawer for nighttime loo visits. Lovely decor. Super comfortable bed and soft squashy pillows. We didn't find the sofa particularly comfortable, not for the two of us to sit on anyway, a little on the small side and not a high enough back for us. The heating and hot water arrangement was a bit of a pain - we had to keep switching the hot water tank on and off for baths and showers which isn't ideal but it can't be helped if you have a property that isn't on mains gas. But don't understand why it couldn't be on a timer. Fabulous bath, water stayed hot for a long time in it. Very nice, conscientious and helpful owners. A basket containing fresh bread and cake/hot cross buns along with milk and 'home-made' lemonade was a lovely and much appreciated touch. If you're staying for any length of time and wish to do any cooking, you'll need to take cooking oil, tin foil, cling film etc and oven gloves with you. Plus spare coat hangers if you wish to hang up any more than five garments. Overall it was pretty much perfect for us and our needs, including the two parking spaces, which is very rare with a property for two.

Lovely cottage situated in a beautiful area with numerous country walks.

Perfect for a relaxing break with amenities nearby. Would recommend this property to couples (dog owners) looking for peace and tranquility in the countryside. Beautiful chocolate box villages to visit within an easy drive, the Cotswolds is an area of outstanding beauty and this lovely cottage is the perfect base from which to explore

Chapel Cottage is unique for the obvious reason it has an ancient chapel outside the window which is very atmospheric.

It is situated in the yard of a huge old farm with redbrick barns, dovecote and so on, built at a time when money was no object. Chapel Cottage is an old workers cottage that has very recently been refurbished, refurnished and re-equipped to a very high standard. I think it is new on the Sykes books which is why it is not yet fully booked up. There is a good size bedroom with new comfortable bed and bed linen and a new bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of working space. The open plan kitchen, dining, sitting area is compact but works well and is comfortable. There is nothing not to like.

Had a lovely week at the cottage.

Great walks and mountain biking in the nearby hills, good base to explore the Cotswolds. Friendly and helpful hosts. Quiet setting but near great pub and cafe in the village. Dog friendly and spacious cottage with parking at the front door.
