The property

Island Yurt is a characterful 20‑foot yurt positioned beside the owner’s fishing lake on the edge of the village of Beckford, near the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire border within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Part of a small group on site yet designed to feel quietly self‑contained, it provides couples with a distinctive rural retreat, complete with the added luxuries of a hot tub and a sauna.

Arrive and park close by, taking a moment to let the calm of the water and surroundings settle in before stepping inside.

The single‑storey interior opens into a studio‑style layout where the space has been arranged to feel open and intuitive, making it easy to set bags down, kick off your shoes, and relax into the slower pace.

The kitchen sits at the heart of the yurt and works beautifully for everyday meals, with an induction hob and combination microwave oven allowing you to cook with ease, while a dishwasher discreetly takes care of the clearing away so you can spend more time enjoying the moment.

As evening draws on, the sitting area becomes a welcoming spot to unwind, with the gas woodburner‑effect stove adding warmth and atmosphere.

Later, pull down the screen, choose a DVD, and settle in for a low‑key film night that suits the peaceful setting, before moving across to the double bed to wind down at the end of the day.

For moments of deeper relaxation, the indoor two‑person sauna offers a warming escape, followed by a refreshing rinse in the luxurious walk‑in rain shower, which is neatly set off the main living area.

Outside, the wooden veranda runs alongside the water, creating a natural space for spending time outdoors, whether soaking in the private hot tub, lighting the fire pit as the evening cools, or cooking on the barbecue while the lake lies still nearby.

Outdoor furniture encourages lingering breakfasts and unhurried evenings, while guests can also take the rowing boat out at their own pace or enjoy peaceful fishing on site.

With a well‑behaved dog welcome too, Island Yurt is a carefully considered escape shaped around quiet surroundings, simple pleasures, and time taken slowly.

Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 11980, 6017 and 921614, together sleeping up to 8 people.
