Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, just one or two improvements could be made to enhance one's stay.

Adequate seating for 4 in rear garden also having glass canopy. If a few plants were added in pots it would improve the setting. Within the property just a couple of items need attention, the shower screen could be a little larger to avoid water spilling onto bathroom floor.Also existing screen had mould on vertical seal that needed cleaning. The 1st floor toilet cistern is continuously letting water escape into pan which could be costly over time if on a water meter. Apart from this very comfortable property for adults and older children.

Fijne parkeerplaats. Goed uitgeruste keuken en prima bad en bed. Klein minpuntje: de zware pannen van Le Creuset, bijna niet te tillen voor oude mensen zoals wij en koekenpan te klein voor roerbakken. Misschien 1 grotere lichterekoekenpan?

A very comfortable home, full of home comforts and facilities.

Location and position of property will not be for young families.

Difficult to access. Home surrounded by other properties occupied by retirees and elderly. Inside upper floors accessed by carpeted stairways that are narrow and fairly steep. This is a normal mid terraced home central to Nailsworth shopping and commercial centre. Parking for home is some 50m from house. The 2 available parking spaces are difficult to access for mid to large SUV type vehicles. The home itself is however well appointed, clean and comfortable

We had a lovely and relaxing time at the accommodation.

It was a home from home, warm and comforting and in a peaceful location, yet in the heart of Nailsworth. We made use of the well equipped kitchen, large lounge and the peaceful garden with the stream running past. The location was ideal for exploring the area, doing some local shopping and for visiting Cirencester with a stop off at the Cotswold Airport for coffee and lunch.

The property is beautifully presented and well equipped.

It’s in a great location and we enjoyed just having a short walk to the shops, cafes and restaurants. Despite being so central it’s very quiet. The area around Nailsworth is very beautiful and there are plenty of places to visit. We hope to return to Bateman’s next year to enjoy the ambience of the cottage and to explore more of the surrounding area.

A very cosy accomodation.

Very clean and well aquiped. Enough space for parking very near to the house. Nailsworth is a nice village with dozens of nice shops and restaurants. Perfect place for a nice holiday.

Lovely property in a very convenient but quiet location.

Pleasant sheltered outdoor space. Very well fitted out with everything you could need in the kitchen including kitchen scales. Alison and Howard looked after us extremely well, very helpful and responsive on a couple of minor issues. The owner was also helpful, really refreshing to have such good communication. The streets are very narrow but they are in most of Nailsworth, but parking is easy for the cottage. Local bus stop, shops and great restaurants in easy walking distance. Accommodation is on 3 floors with a full bathroom on 1st and 2nd and another toilet downstairs. Lounge diner is well set out with comfortable seating for all. Smallest bedroom doesn't have much clothes storage, but my suitcase slid under the bed easily.

An absolutely beatiful home to spend our week in Wiiltshire.

It was a great base to visit all the places we wanted to reach. The actual propery was spotless and extremely well appointed and really felt a home from home. Could not ask for more from a rental property. Only problem was the brilliant option of books (joking here) - too much choice, but delighted was able to complete one of the books in a week - no pressure. Will definitely look to rent this property next time we come back down to the area

Very well equipped property which was very clean and comfortable.

It was very quiet and peaceful, yet within very easy walking distance of a range of shops and services. Within the town are a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants offering a range of foods . Couldn't fault it at all.

A comfortable cottage conveniently situated in easy walking distance of the shops and facilities of Nailsworth.

The designated parking spaces are an essential feature. We experienced no noise whatsoever from the nearby social club. The beds are comfortable and the showers have good water pressure. Good quality bedding and towels provided. We appreciated the good communication about key collection from Alison who also kindly gave recommendations for places to have Sunday lunch. The riverside outdoor space at the back of the cottage is a very pleasant. The only small criticism is that, at the time of our visit, most of the plants in pots had died and weeds were growing up through the gravel. A little extra regular maintenance in this area would make this area absolutely lovely. We very much enjoyed our stay at Batemans.

The cottage is ideally positioned very close to the centre of Nailsworth, making it easily accessable for everything you could need.

It's extremely well equiped, very clean and comfortable, and a credit to the owners and maintenance staff. We had a great time staying there and would happliy return again.

We have always had good cottages through Sykes but in terms of decor, tastefully decorated with comfortable and attractive looking, furniture, well equipped kitchen, etc.

, this was definitely the best we have had. It was excellent in all respects, a real home from home and I could happily have lived there. That was before factoring in the location.

Lovely cottage, well -equipped.

The outside space had a canopy which meant we were able to sit out as the weather though warm was often wet. The road to the cottage is narrow but that is the case with a lot of Gloucestershire roads and villages, and parking is good. Would recommend Bath ( park and ride from Landsdown) Cirencester, Slimbridge and the magnificent GLoucester Catherdral. Nailsworth is well placed for them all. And DO NOT LEAVE before sampling an Winston's ice cream from their premises on the common. :-)

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.

Clean, comfortable and very well - equipped. Any wee comments from previous reviews like the shortage of cereal bowls, have been dealt with. Kitchen was well enough equipped to make a Sunday roast - rare in a holiday rental. The weather wasn’t great but plenty space for four adults to relax indoors when needed. Nailsworth is a lovely wee town; we enjoyed meals at Amalfi and Egypt Mill, and is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding area and we made use of the Park and Ride at Cam & Dursley station (about 25 minute drive away) to take train to Bath and Bristol for days out there. Would highly recommend a stay here.

We loved this place.

it was really conveniently near the centre of Nailsworth, yet also very quiet. The house was comfortable, great double bedroom with a really comfortable bed. Everything nicely done. Get in was at 6pm, but the manager of the property called us to say it was ready earlier. Even the selection of books was great. And we met the neighbours, who were lovely. Complaints? Well, the kitchen knives were blunt, but I have never stayed in a cottage where they weren't. Nailsworth is a charming little town, with some great places to eat and near to all sorts of other interesting places - Stroud, Tetbury, Cirencester - as well as some great walks.

Well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Good base for exploring the Cotswolds. Housekeeper was quick to respond to any niggles however access to property is down a very narrow lane, not good for larger cars and or nervous drivers.

We loved our stay at the cottage.

It was beautifully furnished, well equipped and really well situated in a pretty row of terraced cottages very close to the centre of Nailsworth. Nailsworth itself is a lovely village with some good restaurants, cafes and shops.

This cottage is in an excellent location with everything you need within minutes away.

Locals were friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat with good food.

The cottage was reasonably well appointed.

Lovely fresh bedding thank you. Wasn’t at all sure bar of soap stuck to the wall in Covid times is at all wise ? The cottage could do with some breakfast bowls as the only ones there are tiny. I see this has been mentioned before. Sadly my car was scraped by someone within the private car park with no one leaving a note, which was a shame. All of this said, the cottage is well and centrally positioned in Nailsworth and was clean. Thank you

The paper linings in the draws could have been a bit cleaner also it would have been helpful for a couple of dishwasher tablets to be supplied for the first evening.

Everything was handled efficiently, but that’s how you have always appeared to me with the different holidays I have booked with you.

So thank you for continuing to be great despite the current situation that we have in 2020.

We did enjoy our stay at Bateman's, but had a few issues with the cottage.

Firstly though....the good bits: the beds are very comfy! I would say the mattresses were medium to firm. The cottage is very peaceful. We found it relaxing. It is within waking disance of shops and we liked Nailsworth as a base for the week. Now the issues we had: the kitchen, despite having all the white goods, is poorly designed and small. You have to keep moving the bin and shutting the door to get into the fridge/freezer. It got very annoying. There was hardly any empty cupboard space for our provisions either. And the kitchen was not that well equipped. Only one cereal bowl between the four of us but 16 soup dishes! The only tin opener was bent and it would not work very well. The single bedroom has nowhere for clothes! One very small bedside table. No hanging space and not even a chest of drawers, though there was space enough for a small one. Those were really the only negatives for us. We did have a bit of trouble getting the tumble dryer to work at first, but Alison and Howard, the caretakers, were very helpful and got it going. We noted in the information sheet that was left for us that they wanted us to take our rubbish with us on leaving. Never had that in any other cottage we have rented. We put our rubbish out on bin day, but the bin men never took it. Alison very kindly said not to worry and that all our rubbish would be dealt with if we bagged it up. On the whole, we had a good week though. Lots of places to see. I will not miss that kitchen or the stairs though!

It was a shame that the dishwasher wasn't working, the housekeeper was fantastic though and did try to sort it out.

I did want to stay for 1 extra night, but with sykes being greedy, I couldn't afford to stay. They came out with some lame excuse that we would have been booking in to a new week, even though I knew that the cottage was vacant for 2 nights. Extremely rude customer services whom was not willing to help.

Perfect location, very comfortable property with great facilities.

Alison, who looks after the property, was particularly kind and helpful. We hope to be back next year!

The cottage was perfectly right for our situation accommodating two couples and an elderly parent for a family weeding nearby - sounds odd but having 3 toilets was a godsend whilst everyone got ready in their finery.

The location, although on edge of the town, was very quite but then again you'd need to be hardy folk to have been out in the pouring rain!!!! Access from parking spaces into cottage was also excellent for our 92 year old mother. Only improvement we could see was perhaps a lighter set of saucepans (creuset are very heavy) and a spatula :) Bonus was as no-one else coming in after us we were able to make our departure a little later on last morning, many thanks Alison and Karen - very welcome after arriving back from reception at 1.30 in morning and having then a 5 hour drive later that same day back to north Norfolk. Happy to recommend.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely part of the country.

The worst aspect of this cottage was that you are required to take your rubbish with you.

One would usually be provided with outdoor refuse facilities, or at least be able to leave tied bags by the door for the cleaners to remove. It’s not easy to find a recycling depot and no clear directions are given.

Very clean (immaculate) with everything you could possibly want and I mean everything. The first place that provided some milk, tea/ coffee and biscuits on arrival so we didn't have go out as soon as we arrived. Lovely beds, great linen. Great that there was an extra toilet downstairs. Great parking and easy walking to a number of pubs and shops in the town.

It was hard to find something that had been overlooked - we wre so impressed with the cottage.

I would just like to say that it was absolutely fabulous. Everything in the cottage was top class and the location was perfect.\ \ \ We have stayed in many cottages, and are very fussy, but this is the best we have come across. Thank you very much indeed. We certainly hope to return.

the cottage was lovely, cosy, ideally situated and well maintained.

As we were lucky with the weather we got plenty of use from the outside seating area which had very comfortable furniture.

Overall very good!
