“Overall we had a brilliant time at The Cook House.”

Watching the sunrise with the cows and calves was a particular highlight! The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch, and the air conditioning unit was welcomed given how hot the property can get. The property is advertised with two “king sized rooms” which I had assumed meant king sized beds, but I don’t believe they were. The property was fairly clean overall but lots of cobwebs in corners of the rooms, dust where chairs in the bedrooms hadn’t been pulled out to hoover (we moved them to put in front of the mirrors when getting ready) and crumbs on the floor under the sofas on arrival were slightly disappointing. When we hoovered, we discovered a dogs ball under one of the sofas, a toothbrush timer near the bookcase and a dummy under a chest of drawers. Some of the bedding was on inside out. All minor things that we could easily rectify but didn’t line up with the high-end feel of the property description. It didn’t detract from the property being a perfect base for an active holiday, suiting different generations. We will certainly miss the natural calmness that came with such a beautiful location and enjoyed our week immensely. Thank you.

Dear Mrs Savory, thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated. I have forwarded your comments regarding the cleanliness to our cleaners as that is not the standard we expect. The beds are double so I have also informed Sykes to amend our details as we do not want to state that we have something we don't. Kind regards Penny Property Owner
