Home from home.

Wonderful home in a beautiful setting. Hosts Andrew and Judith were very welcoming and their property has everything you need and more. Spotlessly clean; really comfortable and has a lovely garden. Burford is a lovely place and has lots of great places to eat and drink and shop. It is also a great base to see the rest of the Cotswolds too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back as one of the best Sykes properties we have stayed in.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The apartment was spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a perfect holiday.

One of the highlights was being able to relax in the stunning garden in the evenings—it was absolutely lovely. There’s plenty to do nearby, with Cotswold Wildlife Park and Bourton-on-the-Water both well worth a visit. We also found some great places to eat—the Indian restaurant on the high street is excellent (you can order collection if you prefer to eat in), and the tapas at The Highwayman are delicious. Overall, this is a fantastic location and we would highly recommend it. We had a wonderful stay!

The garden was so pretty with lots of visiting birds. So close to the lovely main street, and perfect for visits out within 30 minutes drive.

The property is maintained and equipped to a very high standard.

We appreciated the lovely welcome pack. The patio doors lead out to a delightful garden with views across the recreation ground. It is just a short stroll into Burford for breakfast/dinner.

This Mews cottage is the perfect home away from home, beautiful location, super friendly owners and so many thoughtful touches.

The Christmas Tree, the fruit mince pies and shortbread all wonderful extras that made our Christmas stay so pleasurable..We hope to return again in the future

A very lovely long weekend break which we all needed.

Perfectly placed and quiet accommodation for not only Burford - which can get very busy - but an easy drive to lots of other Cotswold villages. There was even a Christmas tree to get us in the festive mood!

A very comfortable and well equipped apartment situated in a great location in the picturesque town of Burford.

The property was clean, spacious, well-equipped with a pleasing outlook over the garden and playing fields.

Beds were comfortable, it was quiet, parking was available, with a handy pub nearby for dinners. Unfortunately hot water was unavailable for our first few nights. We needed to manually adjust the water heater setting each night to have showers, which is an unsatisfactory arrangement for holiday accommodation. Hopefully the water heater programming issue is resolved for future guests. Overall however, I would rate the property as very pleasant.

Great accommodation with everything you need only a short walk to the centre of Burford.

This was our second time at 5 Burford Mews.

It is an ideal location to meet up with our family with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and in a quiet location at the top of Burford Hill but within walking distance of all the amenities. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we love travelling round the Cotswolds with all its National Trust properties and very pretty villages. After watching all episodes of Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime we loved visiting the Farmers Dog and having a drink in the beer garden.

We stayed here for a second time and again it was an excellent place to enjoy our holiday in the Cotswolds

Great location on the edge of Burford - 5 mins walk into the centre.

The owners have thought of everything you might need to stay there in comfort. The bifold doors enable you to look out into the pretty garden which also has seats if you prefer to be outside. Offroad parking is also a plus as was the generous welcome pack. Would highly recommend.

The property was in an excellent location for visiting the Cotswolds with a beautiful garden.

It was so peaceful even though you were just off the main road. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

This is a really lovely cottage of great quality. Just take note that the property is at the top of Burford Hill.

The home kept us warm and comfortable during our second stay at #5, this time for the winter.

The home is so well equipped and organized, with detailed instructions to boot, explaining how the kitchen works, and how the make the best out of the stay in Burford. Thank you for the hospitality, Judith and Andrew. You have such an amazing “home away from home” in a lovely town.

The location was great, both for Burford itself and for other places we wanted to go to, and the lovely garden was a bonus even if the weather wasn't warm enough to properly enjoy it. Nice welcome box and tea, coffee, milk all there on arrival. We couldn't have wished for anything more and I can think of nothing negative to say or anything that needs improving! Thanks for a great few days stay in this lovely home.

Great location in Burford within walking distance to all local amenities and excellent pubs and restaurants.

On site parking was a big plus. The accommodation was spotlessly clean with everything you would need. The location is excellent for exploring the area, including Blenheim Palace, Oxford and good walks from the apartment. We would not hesitate to return for a further visit.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the property and it's in a great location and has the added bonus of safe off street parking. The high street is literally a few minutes away with a good range of shops and places to eat. There are plenty of places to visit in the area

We had a lovely few days break in 5 Burford Mews.

The apartment was fitted and furnished to a very high standard and was an excellent base from which to explore Burford and the Cotswolds. The lounge was spacious, light and very comfortable for relaxing in on lazy, late mornings or in the evenings. Beds were very comfortable with lovely soft pillows and duvets that kept us just warm enough but not too hot like many duvets in hotels. Showers were really good with plenty of hot water. The kitchen was nicely laid out although we didn't do much, if any, cooking so can't comment on the usability of the oven, etc! The property was really clean and well maintained and was comfortably warm and it was really good to be able to adjust the thermostats to suit ourselves. I'm sure we will return if/when we next fancy a break in the Cotswolds.

Loved the property.

It was really comfortable and clean. Was great to have a beautiful garden to sit out in. We didn't use the car at all during our stay. Burford High Street and the garden centre are a few minutes walk away. We would definitely return.

We had a very enjoyable stay at 5 Burford Mews.

It was one of the best properties we have stayed in. The apartment had a lovely lounge with views onto the garden. The facilities were good. It was a short walk to the Prince of Burford pub and to the High Street with its range of individual shops and places to eat. We visited Blenheim Palace and several NT properties . We will visit again.

Burford Mews was definitely the most comfortable and enjoyable property we have stayed at ,the beds were so comfortable and everything that you need is supplied.

On arrival we were delighted with the welcome pack which was very much appreciated supplied by the owners Judith and Andrew thank you . The garden is lovely and the view over the park is beautiful. Will definitely be back .

Check in was smooth and instructions were clear.

The cottage was well presented with furnishings in excellent condition and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and contained all necessary appliances. We enjoyed the complimentary biscuits and Elderflower soft drink. The location was great and convenient to walk to local shops in Burford. Burford was an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds by car.

The Mews in Burford is a beautiful modern spacious & cosy ground floor apartment with a garden which attracts many wildlife.

It was very well equipped with everything to help make our stay enjoyable. Is in a very handy position to explore all the Cotswold has to offer with a 10 min walk to Shops Restaurants & Pubs. Next door is the Prince of Burford Inn which was a big bonus. I would definitely recommend this apartment for your stay in the Cotswold.

The directions to the property are awful They refer to the Cotswolds Gateway Hotel which is no longer in existence Sykes need to liaise with the owners to rewrite the directions

This was a phenomenal stay!

Go out front gate right onto High Street. It was so convenient and came with a designated parking space if you have a car. The inside was better than pictures show. Very clean, well appointed and the owners left goodies for us. Communication with the owner was very good. She even sent pictures to help us make our way. I would certainly recommend this to anyone wanting a convenient, cozy place to stay …5 stars!

Lovely accomodation in a great spot for visiting the Costwolds.

Easy to get to Oxford and surrounding villages, nice places to eat in Burford but make sure you allow plenty of time if you visit the garden centre as it is huge.

We found this to be an extremely comfortable, warm and well equipped holiday home.

It is spotlessly clean. The house is well sited to walk into Burford (once you get used to the hill on the way back) as well as for visiting the surrounding area. There are many beautiful walks nearby and interesting houses and gardens to visit.

Good to have a welcome pack on arrival too, the only thing that was missing was toilet roll (just as well there was kitchen roll!) we weren't sure if this had been forgotten or it's not supplied? The co-op down the hill solved the problem. A lovely stay, we hope to be back.

Wonderful property.

One thing I found out, when hit by a freezing shower, was that there wasn’t enough hot water for both a bath and a shower at the end of the day. It did freshen me up though

Excellent apartment which is well appointed and situated in a location which is convenient for a number of Cotswolds attractions and villages.

Cheltenham, Oxford, Swindon, Stow on the Wold, Lechlade etc. are all less than 20 miles away.

5 Burford Mews is a lovely holiday home.

We were very pleased with the apartment.

It was much more spacious than the photos suggested which was a nice surprise. The garden is lovely and very well looked after. The apartment is in a great location in easy walking distance of Burford High Street. Overall we were very happy with the accommodation which had everything we needed and was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay.

Its our 3rd visit to 5 Burford Mews and we hope to come back for a 4th.

Mostly everything was good and as expected, although the clean wasn't totally thorough as we found a scrunched up tissue under the sofa and the floor lamp had prints on it from the people before, which didn't seem like an enhanced covid clean.

The cottage itself was perfectly situated, the kitchen well equipped, the garden was beautiful, the bathrooms and showers were top quality.

Would have benefited from some comfortable outdoor patio furniture, especially due to the hot weather.

The property was very clean and well equipped, I was easily able to cook for our family of four.

We have a young family and there was plenty around the area to entertain us for a week, I would definitely recommend the location.

A lot of attention to details and everything was meticulously prepared and wonderfully clean. Burford is a beautiful village and the rest of the Cotswolds easy to reach and explore.

The condition of the apartment was exceedingly good as was the location.

Short walk to town, large garden and playing field beyond. ideal for a family of 4 or a couple. Plenty tp see and do in the area. One minor point: it would be better if the freezer was switched on for arrival but otherwise absolutely no complaints. All the provisions were there for the electrical equipment and a lovely welcome pack. Obviously a lot of thought had gone into the needs of holiday makers.

Beautiful well appointed cottage but because of huge trees in the garden it can be a little dark inside and the garden is nearly completely in the shade.

Would have been nice to know especially if you get dry but overcast weather.

Everything you need for a self catering holiday and everything was spotless. Owners were delightful but discreet. I would certainly want to repeat my stay. The memory of sitting in the bright lounge looking on to the pretty garden full of wildlife will remain with me.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and very well appointed.

The owners live in the upper apartment and were very pleasant. The apartment is ideal for some with mobility problems, all being on ground floor level with decent size door openings. I can imagine later in the year it would be lovely sitting with the patio doors open. The owner mentioned plans to extend the bedroom area to increase the size of the front bedroom so sounds like it will be even nicer than it currently is. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Good to have the owners so close - they live upstairs, should any help be needed. Close to lots of attractions and great shops in Burford - recommend the Burford Farm Shop. Very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

I have booked with Manor Cottages several times, I have never been disappointed.

Our cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed, soft towels. Parking was a plus. It was in a great location, just at the top of the Hill in Burford. The owners, Judith and Andrew were on hand, but we never needed to contact them. If I stay in the area again, I will definitely book this cottage again.

The owners have really thought through what someone needs in a rental home and then provided it.

In addition the location is perfect. A lane at the front door gives a 5 minute walk to High Street Burford and the shops etc. The apartment itself is in a quiet cul-de-sac yet just off the a40, providing excellent links to the cotswolds in general.

The stay was perfect, there were all the necessary details and all very clean and tidy.

Central position in The Cotswolds.

Nice looking property and good description on the Manor Cottages website.

The property was beautifully kept and had everything we could possibly need.

It was in a fantastic location and was an ideal base for touring the Cotswolds and Oxford. When we arrived the owners had left us milk and tea and coffee - which was very thoughtful. The views from the property were also impressive, no matter the weather.

The house was well furnished, comfortable and clean.

It had everything we needed and was equipped with cleaning products, soap and welcome basket was lovely touch.
