Facilities and in house equipment was all very good . Could improve the facilities with some kind of laundry driers rather than just a tumble drier. Overall a wonderful weekend enjoyed by our family group ranging from ten to eighty five. Thank you

We have just returned from three nights at Shifford Manor Farm.

We had a fantastic long weekend! The house is very spacious and furnished to a high standard. We are a group of 10 adults across three generations and everyone had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The facilities were brilliant! In the kitchen there were two dishwashers, lots of fridge space and even an ice maker. Also the multiple toilets and bathrooms were perfect for our group. The garden and the views were beautiful and even with mixed weather we were able to enjoy the outdoors. The resident Hares made several visits too! Although the location is quite remote we found several pubs within a short driving distance. We would recommend the market tavern in Bampton, the trout at tadpole bridge and The Swan at Swinbrook where we had a great Sunday roast. We really tried to do our research with the restaurants and the food was fantastic at all 3! We had a great stay and would definitely return!

Beautiful, comfortable, warm and spacious - perfect for our family gathering.

We have already rebooked for next Christmas. The house is very well equipped but the provision of a washing up bowl in the main kitchen sink would be helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at Shifford Manor - it suited our friends get-together perfectly.

Particular highlights were walking to the Trout for lunch, games night with an open fire and watching the sunset with a cuppa - beautiful!

Everything clean and tidy . Plenty of space , warm and cosy with 3 fires. Great view all around and plenty to do.

Shifford Manor is a gorgeous property, that looks better than the photos!

We were impressed with the kitchen, lots of space to spend time across multiple rooms and spacious bedrooms. The big tables were perfect for our big group's boardgames and the house lent itself to a great scene for a murder mystery! We were left a very generous welcome package which was a lovely touch and someone had been in the house beforehand to turn the heating on. Considering the size of the property and number of guests, we were disappointed with the number of toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets provided, leaving us to have to go out and buy more. The property is actually very easy to find, we didn't need the extra instructions as the postcode took you straight there. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend the property to anyone!

The house was beautiful, warm and spacious we enjoyed our celebration weekend.

Booking with Sykes was not good. I wanted to change my card for paying the balance of the holiday. This was impossible, no one to talk to no one who could help. Finally I was told ( when I eventually got to speak to a human) let the card bounce and you will be contacted to change the card ! I was worried about this unsatisfactory advice.

Our group of 9 adults had a wonderful few days at Shifford Manor Farm.

The house is very comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We used it as a base while walking the Thames Path and it was lovely to return to in the evenings.

Stunning property in a beautiful location.

Really well equipped and comfortable property with gorgeous views. Beds were really comfortable and the whole house was really clean. Check in very late which was the only downside, 5pm this is quite late and impacted our stay unfortunately.

Fabulous property.

Great facilities. Bit of an issue with the hot water but hopefully sorted. Comfortable beds and cosy when we lit the fire. A working aga was a lovely bonus. We had a lovely reunion. Good contact from the hosts. It would have been great if the piano was repaired as we had 2 pianists in out party.

My family of 13 and 3 dogs stayed here for a week and all I can say is this place is probably our top property to have stayed at in the UK.

The house is equipped with everything you could ask for. The grounds and location to everything were brilliant. Waking up every morning looking at the cows running behind the feed machine will always remind me of how amazing this place is. The power went down for a day and the owners asked if we would like to use another one of their properties while the power was out (this was due to power line maintenance so nothing to do with the owners property). We didn’t take them up on the offer but their understanding of the situation evidences that they care about their guests. I genuinely can’t say a bad word about this property. If you have a big family and need a property to fit you all in that’s top of the bill then this meets the requirements.

We had a fantastic stay at Shifford Manor.

It was very comfortable, spotless and extremely well equipped. The house had many big social spaces to enjoy including a lovely large garden. It was even better than the photos. It was perfect for our needs and more. We would not hesitate to reccomend.

Would have liked some guides on local walks from property as attended with a dog. Have a lovely time and would definitely recommend this property.

Twelve in party aged from mid-70s to 8 years.

Property has plenty of space for group to disperse or gather. Beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are well appointed and maintained. All kitchen appliances are high-end and function well. Kitchen equipment is of high quality and comprehensive. Property was exceptionally clean. Wood-burners and central heating kept us very cosy over Christmas. So good that we have already rebooked for next Christmas.

I wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday with my family.

This included me, my 85yr old mum, my 2 older sisters and younger brother, my husband, son, daughter and son in law. I wanted the airbnb to accommodate us all as comfortably as possible and feel like home for the weekend. Shifford Manor Farm delivered in every aspect and then some. My 60th was painless and perfect

Beautiful and very well maintained property with all the necessary comforts and useful things to host all 11 of us (and the dog) :-) Would fully recommend this property to anyone wanting to get a big group together.

We had a great long weekend in this beautiful secluded property.

The house was immaculately clean with everything needed for our comfort and a fabulous kitchen for preparing meals for the ten of us. The bedrooms and linens were of a very high quality and the children loved the spacious garden. We were very lucky with the weather and could eat outside as well. Having visited the area before we managed to have a couple of trips out, to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Crocodile World which the children enjoyed. We would certainly recommend the property for a similar family group. Thank you.

A wonderful stay with family and friends.

The accommodation was excellent, plenty of space inside and outside. Extremely well furnished and equipped. Welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc much appreciated. Lots of little thoughtful extras in the house which enhanced the stay. Great for all ages. Everyone still talking about the stay. We can't wait to return.

The house was spacious clean with a beautiful garden, we took a trip to the local pub on Sunday which again was great although we weren’t able to find the walking path. I would definitely recommend Shifford manor for large families, spacious kitchen 2 lounges large garden and plenty space for all to sleep comfortably.

Our second stay at this property, and it continues to wow us every time.

The perfect place for a family gathering, with a bunch of amenities to make you feel right at home. The kitchen is the hub of the house, with a great country feel.

Could do with some small bowls for nuts and olives and similar. Other than that the stay was perfect, the house perfect. We will be back.

Our short visit was a celebration of a significant birthday.

Children and grandsons came from Oxford, Toronto and Stockholm. The facilities were first class and perfect for the gathering. Beds were comfortable and the bath rooms well appointed. No hesitation in recommending the property.

The house has been refurbished relatively recently to an exceptional standard with top end appliances double dishwashers and a huge fridge capacity.

The kitchen is very well supplied with good sharp knives plenty of pans and at last for a holiday let enough glasses of all sizes! The garden is great for sitting out and for children's and adult's games. There is a haha at the end of the lawn with a fence, sadly there is no easy way down to the field level and all the farm gates are locked, so for those who are careful of our hip joints, there was no way to walk directly down to the Thames. We know that there were cows and calves around, but most people are not stupid. I did not look like there had been anyone here for some days, given that, it would have been a thought to have let us take over earlier than 6 pm, as that made the children's feeding and bathing late and rather ate into our first evening. For a large house it would be good to have a floor plan so we could plan who was going to be where rather than the scrum when we arrived. In general the house has loads of space for up to 13 people in comfort and not all crowded together in poor weather as in a French ski lodge.. We had a great family weekend.

This holiday home was absolutely first class in everyway.

The attention to detail really came through and made you feel very welcome. The location is perfect for little days out and if you prefer staying at the cottage, the grounds are very peaceful. This house is perfect for a family gathering for every occasion and we will be looking to book again.

The customer service from Elizabeth and Fiona was exceptional both prior to and during our stay. The house was well equipped with good quality appliances and had everything we needed. A great stay. We all loved it.

An amazing property.

Wonderful for family reunions. We gathered from throughout England together with my sister and husband from California. We prepared and cooked all our meals and there wasn’t a single extra utensil we could have wished for. The beds were supremely comfortable. Superb bathrooms. The walks along the Thames Path excellent with fantastic wildlife including a beautiful fox.

Shifford Manor Farm is without doubt the best holiday house we have ever stayed in.

A superb house, remotely located, which is great, because our young grandchildren make a lot of noise! Cleanliness was second to none. Very high spec appliances and top quality in every respect. Equipped with two dishwashers, which for a house this size just makes sense. Even the kitchen knives are sharp. The welcome pack was also substantial - not just a few dishwasher tabs etc, but two loaves of bread, tea, coffee, and several packets of biscuits, etc. Also plenty of TVs - both sitting rooms, kitchen and up in the loft suite; I assume they work, but we didn't use any of them. The house also a large, enclosed garden laid mostly to lawn - perfect for games. My only complaint is the weather was too warm to enjoy the logs burners (three - one in each sitting room and one in the dining room)! It was a lot of money to stay here just for a long weekend, but for a special family occasion it was worth it; this house is so good we plan to dream up another suitable event to justify coming back!

We had a family gathering to celebrate my 75th birthday.

There were 13 of us including 5 children. The facilities and accommodation were first class and the large garden was ideal for children’s games. We particularly liked having 2 dishwashers and 2 large fridge freezers. All in all an excellent location which we would have no hesitation in recommending for large family gatherings

New Year with all our family from different parts of England was amazing and the Christmas decorations and welcome basket were a fantastic treat.. Everywhere was spotless and the House had excellent cooking facilities and equipment. Beds were very comfy and beautifully soft large towels. Spectacular views of farmland and animals. Plenty of room for 10 of us inside and out. Ample parking too. Would definately recommend for large family gatherings.

Our group had a fantastic stay at Shifford Manor, the property is huge and so pretty.

We were very impressed with how well looked after it was, how well equipped with really good appliances and how clean it was. The property is super cosy and perfect for a large group, it has a traditional feel but modernised at the same time, which we absolutely loved! A stunning comfortable property for our extended family of 11 - the nicest we’ve stayed in.

It’s been sympathetically renovated with high quality fixtures and appliances. Highly recommended.

The farmhouse was a wonderful place for a family holiday!

The grandchildren liked running in the garden, watching the tractors in the lane and the combine harvesters! The area is quiet and peaceful but close to Witney and all it's facilities. Our party particularly liked the vegan Cafe in town! The Leys park has a good play park with water jets, great for a hot day!

A really lovely property .

Refurbished to a very high standard with a great large garden. Also a very helpful local managing agent.

The house is vast and all the appliances are top of the range, which is almost unheard of in a holiday rental.

The house was absolutely spotless when we arrived and it has brilliant WiFi much to the delight of the older children. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. I’m struggling to find any thing negative to say, but perhaps a hot tub or given the very large garden even a pool?
