The Paddock

A delightful property in a peaceful setting.

Very comfortable and well equipped kitchen. Quality bedding and soft towels. A superb cottage, a great stay.

The house was lovely.

Clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. It’s very open plan, so any noise in the main living area echoes around a bit. Not a problem for us as we all went to bed and got up at the same time, but might be an issue if there are children in the group.

What a lovely property.

Mattresses perfect. Sofas very comfortable. Facilities excellent. Location great. Witney is a lovely town. Cotswolds & Oxford not far.

We enjoyed our stay at The Paddocks as a family of 10, celebrating a family Birthday.

The property was easy to find on arrival thanks to the information and directions sent. Unfortunately the property was really cold throughout on arrival - the owners ask you to turn the heating down to 15 degrees and to turn the radiators to low. Whether there had been nobody in before us the week before or not, we aren't sure, but the property was cold throughout and took quite a while to warm up to the recommended 22 degrees that is suggested for you to have the heating set to in the instructions! It would have been nice had the cleaner or someone been able to turn the heating up for us prior to arrival. The property was clean and tidy throughout, the layout wasn't quite as we understood it from the website. One toilet between 4 upstairs bedrooms with 8 people wasn't particularly practical, even though there were 2 toilets downstairs (both in shower rooms). The beds in the four upstairs bedrooms were comfortable but the young adults in the downstairs bedroom found the single beds uncomfortable and short in length. The bedrooms also have smaller square character windows, so whilst you can shut the blackout blinds over the main window which worked well, the sun shone through the square windows into the bedrooms still. The outside space was nice, the garden was big and it was nice that it was enclosed for the dog to run around and explore while the children played too. When we came to leave we tried to hoover and clean as to leave the property as we found it (as we normally do), but the hoover hardly sucked anything up, so we ended up sweeping the carpet to just get any bits off. There's also no dustpan and brush at the property, so we ended up using the shovel and spade from the woodfire. Overall we had a nice stay but if we were to look for a property for 10 people in the future we would sadly be unlikely to stay here again due to the layout of the rooms / bathrooms and the coldness of the property on arrival, it just wasn't something we expected.

We had a lovely pre Christmas stay at The Paddock, the facilities were perfect for a large group and several children.

The children loved watching the horses in the nearby yard and (with notice) the friendly window cleaner. The helpbook was informative and the location wonderful for local trips out. My daughter left behind a Christmas present, and the owners very kindly posted it back to us which we were so grateful for. A great experience!

I cannot recommend the paddock team any more if I tried.

. from start to finish the Communication, understanding, comfort has all been 10/10. Rachel was the most understanding when I needed to change the dates, she made everything go so smoothly. She even remembered our reasons for travel which were gifted with a beautiful card wishing me a happy birthday and well wishes my precious accomplishes. Thank you thank you Rachel you and your team really have a gem of a house every room was well equipped, the kitchen had everything you should ever need. Amazing added bonus’ was board games, books, and welcome treats! P.s great spot for quiet wholesome time, long walks Thank you so much again we will definitely be back.

The Paddock was much cosier and more lovely than could be seen from the photos.

The owners were really friendly and helpful. The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had more than enough equipment for us to cook and enjoy our Christmas break. We loved looking at the view from the windows and watching the horses. It was a 20 mins walk from The Masons Arms pub which was charming. It was also only a short drive to Witney and to a large Sainsburys for supplies. Would highly recommend

The Paddock was perfect.

A warm home, well laid out. Everything you can think of available in the kitchen. Each room was a good size and decorated well. It was minus temperatures when we were at The Paddock yet we were nice and warm - although the wood burner is a lovely addition. Good woodland walks close by. Looking out at the horses is lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Paddock for a lovely time away.

I rate a place by not always what went well but when things don't and how quickly they are dealt with.

We had an issue with the heating, once reported it was dealt with and fixed within a couple of hours, now that is what I call service. Thank you.

Very well equipped and clean accommodation, exactly as described.

Extremely comfortable beds and "welcome" snacks and milk a nice extra touch. Peaceful surroundings and light spacious accommodation. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Lovely property.

Well equipped, and catered for all the needs of our large group of friends.

We all loved the property.

It was beautiful, light roomy. Some of the guests mentioned that they had never stayed at a location that the owner had put so much thought into it. There was everything that you could ever need. Even some doggy treats. Wonderful. My only negative and this has nothing to do with the property really was that the local pub I think is closed sadly. Other than that it's a fantastic place to stay. Thank you.

Fantastic large family accommodation in a perfect location close to many Cotswold attractions.

A great holiday was had by all three generations in out party.

The paddock is a beautiful unique stunning property.

Great facilities incl washing machine & wet room. Loved that there was ample kitchen equipment. Beds were extremely comfy, garden was private and we enjoyed sitting out on the garden benches. Just an observation not a complaint but single beds very thin & if for kids, should possibly be upstairs near adults. Living area cosy. Loved it. Highly recommended

Lovely property in a great location.

A stair gate, to put across the stairs would have prevented us having to use the fire guard to stop our dog going upstairs.

As we were very lucky with weather we spent a lot of time in the garden .

However 3 comfy seats wasn’t adequate and the bench is really only ok for a short sit . Again due to heat we would have liked fans in the bedrooms as all found it difficult to sleep due to temp Apart from the above we loved the paddocks and would return again . An area with beautiful villages and hardly any visitors / Bird in hand pub was a great recommendation and we had a perfect meal there

A lovely cottage.

Clean, comfortable, and well equipped . . . . except, the dinner plates are too small, the toaster only takes smaller slices, oh, and a piece fell off the cute toast rack. All minor stuff though. We did enjoy our stay there.

There were 8 adults, a small child and a baby in our party.

The location was idyllic for our needs and the host attentive to our needs. The property is very well equipped, modern, clean and in our eyes couldn’t be faulted. It’s outdoor area was superb in the glorious weather and it was a fabulous getaway for us and perfect for a joint celebration of big birthdays. Thank you.

The property is ideal for dogs and children, there is a large fully fenced garden mainly laid to grass with a few shrubs and bushes.

The gravel drive is ideal for boules and molke. Lovely walks close by, excellent pizza and beer a 5 minute walk away. The kitchen had everything we required. A lovely welcome pack. We are a family of 10 and the sleeping arrangements were good.

) Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Lots to see and do in the area. Lovely part of the world. Would definitely consider another visit.

Amazing cottage.

Beautifully presented, excellent quality furnishings, bedding and equipment. Great outdoor area which we used on a bright but cold February. Really handy for day trips to Blenheim, Oxford and smaller Cotswolds villages. Fireplace was lovely. Would recommend and it really is as lovely as the pictures show! Thank you for a wonderful stay. Everything was great except the layout of the rooms.

Having just one toilet and bathroom on the first floor with 4 bedrooms caused some slight issues with access to facilities in the mornings. Also sound travelled through the house and with no door to the kitchen from the lounge even unloading the dishwasher had to wait until everyone was awake. Lights switches were oddly linked. Thank you for letting us check out a bit later- we left soon after 10 but it took the pressure off.

A Magical Christmas Stay at the Cottage Our family had an absolutely wonderful time at this cozy cottage over the Christmas break.

From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cottage was beautifully decorated for the holidays, complete with twinkling lights and festive touches that instantly set the mood. The space was clean, warm, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was perfect for preparing our holiday meals, and the living room, with its crackling fireplace, became the heart of our family time. It was the perfect spot to relax with a cup of hot cocoa and watch Christmas movies. The location was ideal—peaceful and scenic, yet close enough to nearby shops and attractions. We loved taking winter walks in the surrounding area and coming back to the cottage to warm up. The hosts were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. Their thoughtful touches, like leaving a welcome basket and a handwritten holiday card, truly made us feel special. Our Christmas at this cottage was everything we hoped for—magical, relaxing, and filled with quality family time. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming getaway.

The Paddock was amazing.

Had everything we needed for a weekend girls get together. We didn't leave all weekend! Very comfortable, warm, spotlessly clean & we felt very relaxed there. We will definately be returning!

What an amazing house.

We stayed 1st-5th nov 24, we came for a big birthday celebration. The house had everything we possibly could have needed. It was very comfortable and felt homely. There was plenty of space especially outside for my 2 year old to fun around in a secure garden. This was a perfect house for our needs and had plenty of space for us all to retreat in the evenings. Thankyou very much for our wonderful stay, we hope to be back again soon :)

Had a great stay.

No disrespect to who took the photos but the house seemed better to me in reality. Was recently refurbished with a new kitchen, lots of parking and garden, quiet, well situated and with very comfortable beds!

Stunning holiday home, felt very much home from home.

Lovely touches by the owners with cake, snacks & something fizzy in the wine cooler ! I would highly recommend.
