High Cogges Farm Holiday Cottages – The Cart Shed

The Cart Shed was a lovely place to stay.

Our two young daughters loved the outside space and treehouse. The space was very calm and peaceful and we had good communication with the owners prior to and during our stay. Nearby Witney and Cogges Manor Farm were great places to go to for a day out and to gather any essentials. It was a good gateway into the Cotswolds.

Fabulous break, accommodation surpassed our expectations, we thought it looked great from the photos but it was so much more!

Clean and very light, down a quiet lane, just the thing for our family get together! Lovely area, isolated but shops not too far - perfect! We visited Rollright stones and had a lovely drive round some cotswolds villages. Planning to return for sure.

Lovely house in a beautiful part of the world.

The house is spotless and super comfortable located in a quiet area and within driving distance to nice towns in the area . We only stayed one night but wished we stayed longer. The check in was super easy too. Can’t recommend this place enough!

If I was to give criticism sofas uncomfortable. Double bed was so comfortable. Stunning location. Would definitely recommend.

it was very well equiped,the beds and bedding were Perfect, a stunning surrounding,next to a very beautiful town. The kids loved playing around the House.It is a very good Location to Explore the Cotswolds.

We had a wonderful stay at High Cogges Farm.

It was warm, super clean and perfect for us as a group of 6 friends catching up. The space is bright, cosy and gorgeously designed. We stayed in and cooked most meals and the kitchen was very well stocked which is hard to come by with rental properties. There were tonnes of crockery and utensils. Plus the little touches of fresh flowers on the kitchen table, fresh milk and eggs were thoughtful and super important. Only suggestion would be to have a door for the bedroom upstairs. We would love to come back in a heart beat.

The property is beautifully presented, fresh flowers on the counter, eggs and milk in the fridge, very welcoming!

We felt it could do with a shower over the bath upstairs, and maybe a door rather than the stair gate at the bottom of the stairs, regulating the heat was a struggle as the thermostat didn’t seem to affect anything- most of the time we were a little too warm in the mornings and a bit chilly in the evenings. A motion detector light in the car parking area would be helpful too

Fabulous place to stay , ideal for me being disabled, comfortable beds large seating area, far from busy roads, perfect !

Great house.

Beautiful and very practical. Nice spot for trips around Witney. The bus S1 to Oxford stops nearby (A40 slide road) and brings you right into the centre. Good range of pubs within 5/10 minutes.

Indoors the fittings are modern and comfortable.

There is an excellent play area outside. The location is quiet and there is a good pub within walking distance.

We had a lovely stay at The Cart Shed for a week with 3 generations and 2 dogs.

The property is in a beautiful rural location that was helped with some beautiful British weather while we were there. The cottage is well appointed and is true to the photos online. We have small child and they provided a stair gate, high chair and travel cot. Would definitely come back and stay again!

The property was a lovely place and perfect for our stay!

It was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We were a group of friends coming together for the cheltenham races, so coming from different places (and countries) so the extra parking was great. Location was lovely, very peaceful. Would love to return in the summer! Only suggestion would be to perhaps have some seating/table outside the front area for the summer months (you might already do this) it would be lovely to have the doors open and sit out there in the sun! Overall, a fab stay and would love to return. Thank you

What’s a fantastic property!

One of the best that we have stayed in. Everything was high and with lots of attention to detail, we appreciated the welcome pack and the taste for Christmas decorations, thank you for a lovely day.

A perfect location to explore the cotswolds. Our 2 year old loved the woodland and treehouse!

Superb accommodation.

Well designed, perfect for us (3 generations - grand parents upstairs, my husband and I in the double and the kids in the twin). Wonderful light, beautiful design and great facilities. Would happily stay again. Also such a nice walk to Mason arms for a pint or dinner. Road traffic is quiet, we walked there with a pram and never worried about cars.

The property had everything we needed. The kids loved all the outdoor areas.

Ideally suited a couple of miles outside Witney, this stylish, contemporary 5* holiday let is especially light because of the sliding opening glass doors along the whole front of the building.

This brings the outside in especially with the sliding glass door on the side looking straight into the little wood. The polished concrete floors and kitchen worktops are very smart and practical. We had everything we needed and every comfort. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. We were 2 couples with 2 dogs so there was plenty of space and the walks straight from the front door were great, spotting a deer most days and Red Kite and tge odd rabbit. Lots of birdsong! We enjoyed our days out at Witney, The Game Fair at Blenheim, Blenheim Palace, High Cogges Manor, Burford, Burford Garden Centre, The Swan at Swinbrook , Whichford Pottery, Bampton, The Double Red Duke at Clanfield, Sezincote Manor, Moreton on the Marsh to mention just a few.

We really felt at home in the cottage, loved the place.

Very clean, good quality. What should be added to the listing is the fact that there are car charging options at the cottage, this was an additional bonus for us!

It was a wonder stay in the accomodation!

We had a lovely relaxing stay at the Cart Shed.

Very nice area close enough to Blenheim Palace, Oxford and pretty villages in the Cotswolds. Toiletries and essential groceries provided was a nice touch. Would definitely like to visit again one day.

.... if you have dogs its a great place to walk dogs. I think it's just getting to the point where a lick of paint won't go a miss.

Our stay at the cart shed was amazing.

Our 10 and 13 year old boys enjoyed playing on the zip line and in the tree house. The property is beautiful with comfortable beds and lovely views of the Oxfordshire countryside. It is expertly maintained and was clean and spacious. For days out, we would recommend Blenheim Palace and also jumping on the bus into Oxford and visiting the Ashmolean and Natural History Museums.

Our family of three had such a lovely stay- we would highly recommend the Cart Shed as a base for exploring the area.

Clean, warm, beautifully designed and hospitable hosts. The only problem we encountered was on our last night was a random dance party held close by with extraordinarily loud music which kept us awake all night before very long journey home to Australia. Not the hosts fault, obviously, but it took the shine off an otherwise lovely stay. We will be back!

The accommodation was lovely and so comfortable!

The toiletries and groceries were appreciated. Highlights were the location for evening walks and the huge sliding windows to let the outside in! It’s in a very quiet area but close to lots of Cotswolds highlights! We would love to come back and explore further! Thank you!

Very nice cottage.

Very quiet location and some great paths for anyone who likes to run, jog,walk. The ability to lock windows in an open position would be great to ventilate the rooms whilst out. Don’t know if this could be done retrospectively. Only issue was a bathroom lock , that Ben came and sorted.

This is a beautiful property and a very comfortable and well equipped place to stay.

It’s in a lovely quiet location, yet convenient for visiting the Cotswolds and Oxford.

Amazing property!

Couldn’t believe how good it was for the price - there were lots in the area that weren’t as nice and much more expensive. Whole place was spotlessly clean, comfortable, modern and spacious :) lots of things included - like milk, eggs, well kitted-out kitchen, other useful things like ironing board/airer, and also noticed there were baby items like a high chair and travel cot. Would definitely stay again if in the area, and would recommend to anyone

That’s the second year we have stayed here it’s very quiet and peaceful a lovely place.

After spending a week in this cottage with my family we had the most amazing time.

The cottage was beautiful inside and out. Highly recomend and we are hoping to come back to stay again next year.

Absolutely lovely property.

Really well finished and comfortable. We enjoyed a stay as 4 adults and one young baby. We had taken a travel cot but one was available for using the property if we had wanted to use it. The kitchen is well equipped but you may want to take a large pan if cooking for 4 adults. Beds very comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely, especially the lovely bath under a skylight window. We had a look at the treehouse earlier, this would be amazing for kids staying at the property! Electric vehicle charging right outside the property - very well received! Well positioned for exploring!

A lovely renovated property, contemporary, light and airy.

Exceptionally clean and has all the facilities you need, also had extras like toiletries, flowers and chocolate! A very comfortable stay.

The Cart Shed is a beautiful, spacious, welcoming property.

Even on the mostly overcast days we spent there, there was a sense of space and light and comfort. The downstairs shower was excellent, there was a spare fridge and freezer, a washing .aching and drier, all needs and amenities catered for. Parking is good, Witney is very nearby and you are well placed for Oxford too. We did not take much advantage of the outside areas and fire pit but we look forward to visiting again on sunnier days, knowing that all our needs are catered for.

Such a lovely property and in a perfect location for exploring Oxford, the cotswolds and blenheim palace. Had every thing we needed and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking too. Lovely peaceful location with some local walks. The local town of Witney is only a 5 mins drive and plenty of shops, market and cafes. The Cart Shed is really well equipped and warm and comfortable. The area has so many places to explore and there were lovely walks right on the doorstep. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The treehouse and zip wire were a success with our granddaughter and her friend and the dogs enjoyed the woodland walks. A lovely break for us all.

Well equipped, lovely underfloor heating and the wood burning stove. We opened the windows, turned on some gentle music through the Sonos and relaxed. Mason Arms was just the right distance for a waln and good food. Thank you.

We had a lovely few days at The Cart Shed whilst visiting family and friends in West Oxfordshire.

It's a super dog friendly property and very close to Witney which has plenty of shops for groceries etc. It was very clean with comfortable furniture & beds, loads of nice crockery and good quality toiletries provided. The shower was great and there's a washing machine & tumble dryer too if needed. Good location for a family looking for a holiday and within reach of many good places to visit (The Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle & even London). Thoroughly recommend.

Home from home comfort complimentary milk and apple juice we're most welcome. Owners are onsite but do not intrude unless required. Complimentary body and hand wash and shampoo are very good quality. We will be back

We had the most wonderful stay in the cart shed at High Cogges farm.

Highest marks in all the important categories: cleanliness, coziness and communication! Our hosts articulated everything we needed to know, and more, in a thoughtful pre-arrival email and during our stay they were always at the ready to answer questions or offer recommendations. What a rare treat to be staying in a historic structure yet have the comforts and amenities of a superbly stylish modern dwelling. Anything you could possibly need can be found stowed away like a well-appointed ship: hair dryer, laundry supplies, converters … It may take you a moment or two to find the silverware but the sleek aesthetic is more than worth it. The interior design was entirely pleasing with sparingly chosen items of natural beauty - even the shampoo and soap were a treat for the senses. Not to mention our surroundings! Given the fall weather we weren’t able to take advantage of the indoor/ outdoor living with the retractable glass walls.. but we did appreciate the fire pit tucked in the wooded children’s wonderland out back! Also, a walk in any direction offers up stunning bucolic vistas. We took advantage of the pastoral walks available right out our doorstep. We had a lovely morning stroll to the farm museum for a coffee and were really looking forward to the 5 mile round trip walk to the Mason’s Arms but we were running out of time so we decided we would leave that for the next time, as we will no doubt be back! We all had a wonderful time at The Cart Shed. The property is clean, comfortable, well equipped and stylish. Self-catering for the six of us was no problem in the kitchen once we had learned the vagaries of the various handle-less cupboards! The only thing we missed was a pair of scissors. The glass front and side windows/doors are a great feature. we loved opening them to feel like we were part of the surroundings. The fire-pit and surrounding woodland area gave us a lovely evening toasting marshmallows (and night-time zip-wire fun for the brave!). We had fun bat-detecting, moth-trapping, bird-spotting and general nature-watching in and around the area, which is lovely for walking. Unfortunately we didn't spot the hedgehogs. It was a short drive to various interesting days out and further walks. The weather was kind to us, but it would be a fantastic stay in the winter with the fire keeping everyone toasty while curling up with a book or playing board-games.

We were a group of women friends who have an annual get together and this was our chosen venue this year.

We all absolutely loved the building and setting . The house has been very beautifully designed and simply furnished ,so that it was a lovely place to relax . We all particularly liked the picture window in the living room that looked out onto trees and wild flowers. .We met the owners who were very friendly and welcoming .

lovely cottage, stylishly furnished and well equipped the lovely peaceful and dog friendly garden offers treehouse, firepit and other things- all of which were used and enjoyed. There is a pond, that may be an attraction for four legged visitors!

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful setting, not far from lots of places of interest.

The owners were very welcoming and attentive. A very cosy, homely and well equipped conversion which was excellent for my elderly mother with everything she needed on the ground floor.

The house is comfortable and luxurious, enough space for the whole family. Owners are nearby and very friendly and helpful. Easy access to all tourist sights in the area.

Wonderful location, accessible roads and clear accurate directions to the property.

Anna provided excellent instructions and welcome pack. While they live close to the property they are not invasive but quick to respond if you have a query. The facilities are very modern and hi tech with the Woodburner a nod to conventional country cottage living. Some fantastic walks close by (Crawley and Blenheim) and we had a fabulous celebratory meal at The Lamb, food was excellent. Thank you We have already rebooked!!

What a lovely location!

Peacefully sited, great for children and dogs with perfect woodland garden complete with zip wire, marvellous tree house, fire pit and paths to roam. Easy access to road networks and visitor attractions. The owner thoughtfully supplied branded bathroom toiletries and kitchen essentials to ease holidaymakers into their stay and lived nearby to provide support if required. Wood burner cosy. Overall for us as dog owners with visiting lively grandsons into the mix, happy memories were made. Thank you very much!

It was welcoming, impeccably clean and comfortable, well equipped and beautifully presented. The Cart Shed was ideal for our 3-generational family holiday. We were also very impressed with the tree house play area (especially my daughter!).

Very dog friendly and helpful owners.Facilities generally good and very clean Could do with an idiots guide to the cooker! Could also do with more comfy seating. Otherwise a lovely stay and would recommend it to adults with dogs.

We stayed with my sister in the adjoining Granary and made use of the link property everything was well catered for we didn’t want for anything from shampoo toiletries down to dish washer tablets bin bags etc we enjoyed the complimentary apple juice and appreciated the milk and eggs in the fridge we all had a great time with and spent a few nights around the fire pit too.

With great access to local attractions set within peaceful countryside we would definitely return Many thanks Anna

Wonderful cottage with lovely facilities.

Welcoming family would highly recommend.

What a beautiful and uplifting space this was - the styling is minimalist and just so cool, with every facility required for a home from home.

Little bunches of wildflowers and Faith in Nature toiletries were welcome touches. We were very comfortable and it felt luxurious. Our hosts were friendly and responded immediately to our every query and request; they could not have been more gracious or accommodating. The window onto the apple trees is stunning, linking the outside to the interior and we spent a lot of time in the shady outdoor space. The weather was sweltering during our stay so we didn't get out and about as much as we'd planned. Happily, staying at the Cart Shed was the perfect place to chill out and fully relax. Highly recommend.

Very modern, clean and ideally located for easy access to the various attractions of the Cotswolds. Super fast broadband as well. Owners/family were lovely and we will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

Immaculate high spec accommodation!

Great location for a young family and the owner could have been lovelier - even went to the trouble of returning a much loved soft toy that my youngest had left under a bed! Would highly recommend.

This accommodation is magnificent, & the owners ever-helpful.

However, there seems to be a gap between what they want to achieve and what you are promoting. Specifically, when I sought to add The Granary to my original booking for The Cartshed, you insisted on a separate booking, (saying that was what the owners wanted)and charging another booking fee. Since then, you have bombarded me with separate emails for the 2 properties (including this one) and unwanted promotions, which were of no possible interest (and very expensive). The kind of information I needed was readily available from the owners.

The Cart Shed was great.

Great location for exploring the area. modern property on old farm, very comfortable. Our toddler loved the tree house! Owners were very nice and super helpful, though we didn’t need much as it was all very easy.

This was our first family holiday and the first outing since Lockdown measures were relieved - Anna went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best we could have asked for.

The place is incredible - the under floor heating and fireplace kept us cosy whilst it rained and the nearby area was perfect for walks with the dogs. When it came to the end of our stay, we wish we could have stayed for longer - would love to come again.
