High Cogges Farm Holiday Cottages

We have just returned from a wonderful week at high Cogges.

The house is perfect. Location wise it was lovely and central for all the things we wanted to do. The house had everything we wanted. Even when there was an issue with the WiFi Ben responded straightaway and resolved the problem almost immediately despite being out of the country. The icing on the cake was waking up to find deer grazing in the garden, two mornings in a row. Can’t recommend this property enough.

An amazing and peaceful place to stay.

Very clean, spacious, stylish, and comfortable, with a beautiful view. There are also lots of things supplied such as washing up liquid, toiletries, milk, tea bags, bin bags, etc. that just make a stay easier. I'd definitely go back.

Great location, fabulous garden and clean, well-kept property.

The beds were comfy, sofas a bit hard. The snug is lovely, especially if you want some quiet time. It's a pretty good location for exploring the beauty of the Cotswolds - which we did, but we also found ourselves just unwinding and kicking back in the cottage and garden. The large patio doors open straight onto a fab patio area, the garden and great views. Walking the dogs was so easy and just lovely. This was one of our top 5 cottages to stay in and we've stayed in a lot! Great for families and - like us this time - a group of friends. Dog friendly but if you need a fully secure garden this isn't it. We'll definitely be back, despite the garden.

This was a superb property with everything thought of for our stay.

It would and should have been a 4 star review as a family of 4 we had everything we needed and plenty of space and our dog loved the spacious garden and surrounding areas for walks. The only fly in the ointment for us was the fact our dog needed emergency surgery after fetching her ball from the edge only to get caught by the barbed wire. Please all note for future residents there is barbwire in the perimeter hedges.

Very nice property - well maintained and very comfortable.

well equipped in general - just a couple of omissions eg cheese grater, usable frying pan.... Milk and eggs a nice touch on arrival - toiletries and other essentials (tea bags, dishwasher tabs etc) very welcome.

Fabulous location had a great time though shame about the weather.

That’s the only thing you can expect in January would recommend.

Wonderful place to stay :).

Quiet rural location but Just a short drive to the lovely town of Witney and within easy reach of a day out in Oxford or Blenheim Palace. The House was very warm and well laid out with good facilities. We will definitely consider staying again, perhaps in the summer where the garden can be used.

A lovely welcoming cottage with a fabulous space in the kitchen for our celebration of my mums 70th birthday.

The only slight down slides were that shower in the downstairs bathroom flooded and should 6 of us been staying there it would have been a squeeze in the living room. Would stay again though

What a beautiful cottage.

Well equipped, perfect for a family. Stunning views. Easy to get to surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

A lovely place to stay with everything we needed, plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 dogs.

We visited Burford and Woodstock which were lovely. The town of Witney was much larger than we expected and had plenty of shops, pubs, coffee bars and facilities. An added bonus was the deer in the garden in the mornings.

We really enjoyed our stay at High Cogges.

It is such a fantastic and picturesque setting. We loved the big kitchen, patio and garden and the fact there was a bbq we could use. The property is well kitted out with everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. Felt more like a home than just a holiday let We hope to return in the not too distant future.

It must be good we’ve rebooked for next year.

We don’t have pets to take but it was very clean and tidy.

An absolutely stunning property in a beautiful and peaceful location.

The outdoor space is gorgeous and we really enjoyed sitting out and enjoying the sunshine. Excellent footpaths take you to Witney and the surrounding villages. Thank you for a relaxing and peaceful stay!

Easy to find with plenty of parking. Spacious inside with a perfect combination of cosy character and light modern. Comfortable king-size beds. Garden private with lovely views. Perfect for dogs. All in all, ideal! Thank you!

Fabulous property.

Even better than the photos. We loved our stay at number 8, spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Very well placed for visits into Oxford and surrounds and would highly recommend.

We had a great stay over Christmas in this beautiful property.

Everything has been very well designed and thought out. The kitchen especially impressed us as the drawers and cupboards contained all the utensils needed to cook a proper meal - rather than the usual single cupboard full of glasses and nothing much else! The beds and sofas were very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Our dog felt very welcomed also and thoroughly enjoyed the underfloor heating! We have visited Oxford at least once a year over many years and this is by far the best property we have stayed in. We hope to use it as our base on future visits.

We have just returned from a four-day break.

The property was well maintained, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner was very approachable and quick to sort out any questions. For example, we had a query regarding the hot water; a phone call and text messages were then received to ensure that all was well. Milk and eggs had been left in the fridge, there was a welcome pack with useful information. The owner had thought of everything to make sure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The views from the kitchen window were stunning! We would definitely recommend this property.

The cottage is in a beautiful location and very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

When we reported a minor glitch with a blind it was sorted immediately. We hope to return.

Our stay at High Coggs was amazing, from the moment we found it we knew we were in for a treat.

The word quality is how I would describe everything at High Coggs. There was absolutely nothing we wanted and both of the owners were available at all times if we needed anything. We looked to book again while staying there but unfortunately it was already booked up !!! Our 2 Golden Retrievers had a wonderful stay as well with plenty of garden to explore and play and the house was pawfect for them in every way…. Looking forward to returning to make more magical memories…

In a pleasant rural location, it was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped.

Lovely house and garden in a great location for Oxford and the Cotswolds.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and light, everything is taken care of down to the last detail. We were sorry we were not able to spend more time there.

We had a wonderful stay - the cottage was beautiful, very clean and homely.

I liked there were no signs stating what we could and couldn’t do. The facilities were exceptional and I really hope we get the opportunity to stay again- thank you

Some great books and we were delighted with the wooden rail track as we had a 2 1/2 year old who was well entertained. The open countryside and beautiful views. We immediately relaxed despite not good weather. It’s a great spot with a lot of local activities on what days, especially the Cox world wildlife Park and the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. Thank you.

We loved staying at High Cogges.

The cottage is very well equipped and set in beautiful farmland. Nice walks for the dog nearby and close to lots of great days out with the kids.

Our visit to Cogges Farm was brilliant.

The property made for a very comfortable and picturesque home for a few days from which we visited some lovely market towns and ventured through the beautiful countryside with the dog. Perfect way to escape the city to relax.

Number 8 was beautiful, private, roomy and had great light and airiness.

Had all the old world cottage charm, with modern comforts and design thrown in. The view was fab! There were 5 of us including 3 'kids' aged 17, 13 and 11 and they loved it as well.... Just the right level of peace and quiet that we needed. Close to really lovely large town of Witney and only a short drive to Park and Ride into Oxford. Would love to stay again but next year we may be priced out of the market as this is a truly wonderful house.

It was like a home from home experience and we can say that it was without doubt the cleanest cottage that we have stayed at.

The bathrooms were in tip top condition as was the kitchen. Very peaceful surroundings. Would highly recommend the cottage if you just want to get away from it all.

A delightful property that has everything for a good holiday.

The property is finished to a very high standard with all fixtures and fittings being high quality. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are a delight to use. The garden is large with an excellent patio. We thought that this property was one of the best we have stayed in out of the very many we have used over the years.

The cottage is beautiful and well equipped with everything you need. We loved the style and decor, the cosy feel and having 3 bathrooms was a luxury! Can't fault anything. We will be returning as soon as we can!
