Molly's Bit

We stayed at Molly's Bit as a last minute bargain break.

It was mainly the location that drew us as we intended to spend a few days visiting Cotswolds towns. Whilst it was initially a bit odd staying in someone's extension and sharing their garden the property had everything we needed. It was clean, well equipped and quiet. Our daily visits from Molly the dog were lovely. The owners are very welcoming and a nice touch was to have tea/coffee/milk waiting for us. One small note , the fridge freezer is quite small. Don't take/buy too much as you will struggle to get it all in. We ate out everyday so this was not and issue for us. I would definitely recommend Mollys Bit as a place to stay to visit the Cotswolds.

Fabulous place.

In a great setting for reaching lots of places Bourton and Stow both a few minutes drive away. Lovely village with lots of great dog walks. Dawn has put all the little welcoming touches that mean a lot. A pint of milk in the fridge, tissues in the bedroom, extra loo rolls no need to bring any extras from home. The hosts are there if you need them but leave you to get on with your holiday. A real dog friendly area. We have already booked to go back for a little longer this time ☺️

Enjoyed our stay here.

Had everything we needed. The milk in fridge was welcoming. Met the owner very friendly. Soft matress used cooking could benifit from a clean as poss not used often had to open windows cause of smell. We had a great time pub 10 min walk down road, co op 10 min drive. Everything to visit within an hours drive. Buford and Boulton on the water, cotwsold willdlife park, model village, motor musuem, falcony, bird paradise just to name a few.

We were welcomed by Kelvin and Dawn as soon as we arrived, they were so mega friendly.

Our 2 dogs met up with Molly too and were soon friends. The annexe was fully equipped and spotlessly clean and so very comfortable. The area outside the property was just gorgeous being in a small Cotswolds village with walks galore. I would say it's right in the centre of the Cotswolds with towns like Bourton On The Water, Stow On The Wold and Burford just minutes away and many other towns not much further. Kelvin and Dawn love dogs, Molly visited us and our dogs Albert and Thomas visited them as the garden is shared and it's large enough to keep the dogs entertained. We thoroughly loved our stay, we highly recommend it as a place to stay. In fact we've been back home only one day and we are already organising a return in 2027. We will book again in the next week.

I stayed here for five days and found it the ideal place to explore the Cotswolds, with Bourton and Stow just around the corner.

The flat is perfectly kept and offers anything that two people might want for a quiet retreat.

We really loved staying at Molly's Bit.

It was spotlessly clean, the facilities were great and we had all we needed for our stay. The beds were comfy and the welcome was very warm from Dawn, Kelvin and of course lovely Molly. Our dog, Bear, was made to feel very welcome too and he and Molly hit it off straight away which is always good. Use of the beautiful garden too was lovely.

Do not be deceived by the ordinary appearance of this property, it is completely different inside.

Clean, comfortable, pleasantly decorated and equipped with everything you might need for a stay away from your own home. The location is idyllic and is perfectly placed for visiting all the attractions of the Cotswolds. The hosts/owners of the property are delightful and could not be more helpful.

It is a lovely property. Well equipped and tastefully decorated. Easy to find and the driveway is not difficult to access. Lots to do locally with a dog, even on the wet days at the start of our week. Weather did improve lots by the last two days. Thank you Dawn (owner) for greeting us on arrival and showing us round. Great first holiday in the Cotswolds (had only done day visits before). Would love to come again and hope to stay at Molly’s Bit in the future.

Very comfortable, clean & well equipped accommodation.

Great value for money. Extremely helpful owners who certainly went the extra mile for us when our car broke down & we found ourselves without transport for most of our holiday.

Cosy, friendly, everything you need for a great stay,on the doorstep of the Cotswolds. Hosts Dawn& Kelvin are everything hosts should be ,however the star is of course Molly their dog! We have already booked for later in the year!!

A very comfortable stay here, very clean and well equipped.

Given the weather was not at its best we probably spent more time indoors than usual, but in a very cosy & relaxing environment. Highly recommended.

Dawn and Kelvin will do anything they can to help and Molly is great fun if you get a chance to sit out in the garden. We didn't this time as the temperature dropped for the week . We will be back though maybe next autumn.

Molly’s Bit is a perfect location for visiting and exploring the Cotswolds and of course, Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat, Farmers Dog (where you can get a delicious meal) and the Hawkstone Brewery The cottage is immaculately clean & the owners are very friendly as is the lovely Molly Would definitely recommend and will probably book again if I decide to go again 10/10 thank you

Everything you need for a relaxing break.

Exceptionally clean, conservatory and lovely garden area. Hosts are absolutely lovely but star of property is Molly the dog! Close to Stow, Bourton on the water, Witney and many other Cotswolds treasures!

This was our 2nd visit to Molly's Bit and again we weren't disappointed as the annex is comfortable, clean and was just what we needed to a weeks R & R.

From the moment we arrived we were excited to be back. Molly's Bit has everything that a visitor needs including a superb shared garden that is peaceful and relaxing although Molly the owners dog will visit you to make sure you are not misbehaving in her garden

What a fantastic find, the owners living next door wasn't a problem.

The personal touches fit the bill perfectly. Would go again and stay here, nice and quiet with friendly neighbours. We were both sad to leave. The only minor niggle was it could do with a lamp in the living room, that was just a bit of a niggle to otherwise a great base for exploring this part of the country. Thanks to the owners

We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday, everything was clean and comfortable.

We visited Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon, using the Park & Ride was simple and made parking so much easier. Cotswold Falconry Centre was amazing as was trip to zoo. So much to do and see and weather was good. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Very relaxed and comfortable, quite setting and well positioned to explore the area, easy walking to nearest pub which is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we had a lovely time and would recommend to anyone

What can we say?

Spotless,everything you need ,a home from home. Fire pit in the garden was great in the evening. Owners dog Molly is the absolute star of it all!! Close to stow, and Bourton on the water Pubs and shops within 5 mins drive away.

We had a lovely stay at Molly’s Bit.

Excellent hosts and location. One of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed in with everything we needed. Kitchen was great for our self catering needs. TV channels kept us entertained. It was February when we visited so it was too cold to sit in the conservatory but it is large and comfortable, so summer visitors can look forward to that. We found the bed and pillows a little uncomfortable but appreciate that is personal. Tips for your stay: There is no washing machine so if you are staying longer than a couple of days I suggest taking extra bathroom towels. The travel hairdryer provided is ok but take your own powerful one if like me you have long hair. Check out the village hall events and also the Feathered Nest Pub, but please note the pub is high end and not cheap. We preferred the Kings Head in Bledington. Train to Oxford from Kington is fast and efficient at just under half an hour. Cirencester is also lovely. I only mention theses places as we have been to the Cotswolds before and spent less time on this visit in the lovely local towns and villages and countryside. You will have a fantasy stay at Molly’s Bit!

A very enjoyable 5 days in a beautiful part of the country.

The cottage is very easy to find and backs onto a field in a little hamlet with lovely far reaching views. There is parking on the drive. We were met and given a lovely welcome on arrival and shown round the annexe. The annexe was very clean and well presented throughout. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday. Our dog was allowed to use the garden which was really useful and there were plenty of walks from the village. Whilst there we visited the nearby Cotswold villages and towns. Very happy to find easy and free parking. We also did a day trip to Oxford using the very reasonably priced Park and Ride and thoroughly enjoyed a Guided Walking Tour. Also can recommend Bruern Farm Shop and Cafe situated in a nearby village. I would say the only minus for us was that we found the bed rather too soft for our liking but the nights were certainly very quiet and peaceful.

A good stay in a lovely cottage with good facilities.

Ideally situated to visit the surrounding area.Decorated for Christmas period to make it really festive. Church Westcote was small but extremely peaceful without any noise.Many thanks to the owners for making my stay excellent .Highly recommendable and will return when I next visit the area.

On arrival we had a friendly welcome which continued throughout the week.

The property was clean and well kept with a parking space in front. Plenty of space for 2 adults with comfortable furniture and everything you need. The location was great for visiting the Cotswold's area, with most places within a 45 minute drive ( including Stratford upon Avon and Oxford park and ride ). The smart TV was useful for catching up with programmes during our Christmas week stay. Good Wi-Fi .

Lovely little place to stay, no noise at all at night, off road parking, we were made to feel welcome from the time we arrived, everything you would need for a nice holiday was there, info on places to visit was in abundance.

Tv with Netflix and Amazon prime which was handy on a cold wet night. Very clean and nice modern kitchen, comfy chairs and nice bedroom. We would return for sure when staying in the Cotswolds again.

Comfy, cosy place, all the bits and pieces you would need. Leg-stretching room for the pooches out back and a nice field across the way. Location wise, this is a great spot for taking on the Cotswolds. Bourton, Stow and the Slaughters are only minutes away. Thanks to All.

Delightful dog friendly place to stay.

Cosy and warm but very spacious and well equipped. Perfect for the two of us with our labrador. Lovely hosts. Set in a beautiful village and a great base for exploring the Cotswolds.

Molly's Bit was a lovely find - the space itself has everything you need, with a cosy garden room/reading room/conservatory area which was a great addition.

The (fully enclosed) garden is shared but you have full access to it whenever you want during your stay, which was fantastic for ease of letting the dog out when needed. I stayed here for a couple of nights and it felt like a home away from home the second I stepped foot through the door. Would definitely recommend and look to book here again in the future, thank you!

We had a very relaxing break at Molly's Bit.

Dawn is a lovely lady and could not do enough to make sure we were comfortable. The accommodation is very cosy and there is everything you need to self cater should you so wish. Very clean and warm too. Molly's Bit is very conveniently situated close to Stow, Bourton on the Water, it's not far from all of the beautiful Cotswold villages. Highgrove Gardens and Westbirton Arboretum are just under an hour away too and well worth a visit. Thank you Dawn and we hope to see you again. Patricia & Richard

The perfect cosy retreat for a stay in the Cotswolds.

Beautiful location and centrally based. Dawn and Kelvin are very welcoming with Mollie the dog showing our goldie the lovely enclosed garden. A little gem of a find. Our second visit, we will return again.

It was so cute the cottage was so lovely and so was Dawn and Molly.

We really enjoyed staying there it was so central for lots of places, such as Morton in Marsh , Bourton on the Water,Burford, Chipping Norton and Chipping Campden all really pretty places. There was everything you needed and perfect for 2 and even space for a doggy.

From arrival until we left we felt we had picked the perfect location to stay as the photos don't do it justice. The property itself is fantastic with everything you need to relax, unwind and snooze. To us it is just the right size for 2 people and 2 dogs although the only thing that was missing was a pizza cutter

We had a great few days, the property was very conveniently situated close to Stow and Bourton.

The hosts were friendly but not overly so. The property had everything that you would need for a stay and was very clean tidy and comfortable. You could tell that though had gone into decorating it as it wasn’t just basically kitted out but all matched and was very pretty. I would definitely recommend staying there and if visiting the Cotswolds again would want to stay again.

Ideally located for exploring the many towns and villages in the Cotswolds and the various attractions. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly owners who were most helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable week.

Had a lovley warm welcome from Dawn and Kelvin and their lovely dog Molly - The annexe is ideally placed for ease of visiting all the popular spots in Cotswolds Hiwever the accomodation is not up to the standard we are used to from Sykes - there was a lack of privacy in the conservatory so blinds were kepot shut, we could hear the movements and sounds from next door and tried to keep as quite as we could as we felt they could also hear us Whilst the accomodation was adequate it needs some maintenace and redecoration paticularly in the kitchen and bathroom where the paintwork is messy The photos do not show the front of the property or give an idea of how small the kitchen is - this would have deterred us from booking this property

Molly’s Bit is a cosy Annex offering everything we needed for our stay.

The owners, Dawn and Kelvin were very welcoming. The location is fantastic, located close to all of the major places of interest. As it was the hottest week of the year during our stay we didn’t get to do everything we wanted. Great excuse for a return visit to Molly’s Bit.

I tried to cancel the ho,iday due to the passing of my wife several months earlier.

Sykes point blank refused to do this, citing I had no insurance to do so. I was advised to move the date..............However, when I explained this on arrival, I brought someone else for the stay, the hosts could not do enough to ensure we received 4 nights money back, as we only stayed 3 out of 7. ...Thank you very much, both.......If I return I would book through the owners directly.....Lovely cottage. Clean,tidy and well appointed with friendly hosts who acted quickly. Would advise they make it clearer, signage wise, where the property is. Sat Nav took us to wrong house in village. Could not see from the road in raining conditions. Thank you both for a lovely three nights

Second visit to Molly's Bit and it was just as perfect as the first one.

Very welcoming hosts. Spotlessly clean. Attractively decorated and furnished. Conservatory overlooked a pretty garden. A relaxing environment. Very convenient location for visiting this part of the Cotswolds: 5 miles equidistant from Stow, Bourton and Burford. I hope to visit again in 2024.

Everything provided in the kitchen etc that was needed. Excellent base to vist the quaint and quirky places in the Cotswalds. By accident left potatoes and onions there sorry.

Dawn & Kelvin are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much for them, and Molly their dog is just loveable.

Clean tidy accommodation with a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, my wife and I had a lovely relaxing honeymoon at their place. It's well situated to Burford, the Cotswold wildlife park, Burton on the water, Broadway and many other places, it's our 2nd stay there, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Ideal property for a couple with dogs and/or small child.

It was spacious and comfortable located in a tiny quiet village ideally situated for touring in the Cotswolds. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the property included every home comfort.

Molly's Bit was just as expected, a clean and comfortable self contained property in the Cotswolds with a few walks from the door.

There is plenty of information provided by the host including an OS map of the area. The hosts, Dawn & Kelvin, live next door and are approachable and available if required but don't intrude on your stay. There's a pub within 10minutes walk and local shops in Bourton on the Water a 10minute drive. Stow on the Wold is 15 minutes drive with shops, pubs, a farmers market on Thursdays and walks from the town centre. If you fancy a day in Oxford, it's a 30 minute drive to the park and ride at Pear Tree. It's very reasonable, £5 for parking and 2 adult return bus fares for 16 hours. We would highly recommend this property and would stay again.

The cottage was lovely.

Quiet location and had everything required. The owners were lovely and we were greeted on arrival and given a tour. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The cottage perfect location to explore the local area or further a field. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs as fully enclosed. We loved our stay .

Our dog loved making friends with Molly. The annex is compact but functional & homely. The owners were welcoming, ensuring that the important things - ability to make a cup of tea - were provided & plenty of guidance on the local area.

This is an ideal place to stay when visiting the cotswolds with easy access to everywhere, The cottage is like home from home with everything that is needed for your stay.

Could do with a few improvements such as new blinds.

Not much privacy as when were in the conservatory we could see into the owners house. The settee wasn’t really big enough. Didn’t like the set up with the bedroom not having a proper door - didn’t realise this when we booked it. Owners very pleasant but only saw them once when we arrived. On the whole we had a good week apart from the awful weather.

The most wonderful place to stay in this corner of The Cotswolds.

The compact annexe ideal for one or two people and a well behaved pet was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Both owners were very welcoming and helpful with answers about, or recommendations to, local facilities. The conservatory overlooked the owner's pretty garden; Molly their dog was really cute and friendly. The quiet and pretty village was well placed for touring the south east side of the Cotswolds, with many places to visit within a 10 mile radius. Bridleways and footpaths from the village were scenic, very accessible and easy to navigate.

Lovely annexe to owners home.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Perfect for a couple. Molly the little dog next door was generous enough to share her garden with our little old dog Tommy ( although he was less keen to play!!) Very quiet location. Owners lovely and very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

This property is not very private.

We were aware there was a shared garden but from the photos expected it to be bigger. Didn’t realise the conservatory was so close to their back door so when they sat outside we were looking straight at them. Also there was a locked door from the cottage lounge to their property which meant we could hear their conversations and dog barking. We knew the kitchen was compact but it was extremely small. If there had been a picture of the front of the property we wouldn’t have booked it. The private parking was a narrow space on a gravel drive. The shower was very weak and the bathroom needs updating and cleaning more thoroughly. The lounge is comfortable and cosy once the curtains are drawn and the TV is very good and drowns out the noise from next door,

Very nice and comfortable place to stay.

Dawn & Kelvin were wonderful hosts, nothing was an inconvenience to them, the place was spotless, it was like home from home.

Both were very friendly and Molly their dog was a sweet little thing who got on great with our dog Tsuki. We will be back ❤️❤️

Shower was very weak, and had to ask for towels to be refreshed.

Overall an excellent base to explore the cotswolds from. Small flat was well appointed and hosts were very friendly and eager to assist in anyway.

After a warm welcome from Dawn and Kelvin we settled into the tastefully appointed accommodation.

All the creature comforts we needed for our holiday were available. The village is quiet and offers lovely views with grass verges adorned with hosts of golden daffodils. The location is ideal or excellent walks and visits to surrounding towns. Plenty of neat and tidy garden space for our dog to frolic with little Molly. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Molly's bit is in a perfect location for visiting some beautiful historic market towns nearby including Bourton on the Water, Burford, Chipping Norton and Cirencester.

Dawn and Kelvin, the owners, were very welcoming and helpful if needed. The cottage was spotless, immaculate, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The added bonus of the sun trap conservatory was great for breakfast in the mornings. The owners ' dog Molly allowed Benji, our dog ,to share her garden! Would highly recommend for any friends and family who wish to visit the Cotswolds.

It was cosy, really well appointed and we especially loved the spacious conservatory! We received a very warm welcome and were assured that if we had a problem or needed anything, we only had to ask. As good as their word, when we had a hiccup with the WiFi, Dawn's son came straight round and sorted it out! Thank you for a comfortable, relaxing stay in lovely surroundings.

In the tranquil village of Church Westcote. You are in a good location for all the lovely Cotswold villages. Bourton on the water, Broadway Burford etc.

Molly Pit is a lovely annex, perfectly positioned in a very quiet and beautiful area of the Cotwolds, yet not too far from Stow, Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water.

Molly Pit has everything you need for a short relaxing get away. It's very clean, tidy and comfortable. There are beautiful walks right on your door step and plenty to do and see nearby. Your hosts will make you very welcome and will do all they can to ensure your stay is just right for you. We'll be going back there for another break sometime soon.

We were made very welcome in this cosy annex which was spotlessly clean and well equipped.

The property is clean, light, and airy with a beautiful conservatory attached. Hosts are extremely friendly and easy to get along with. The accommodation is very well located, only 5 miles or so from Bourton on Water, and central to the popular parts of the Cotswolds. The whole holiday experience was most enjoyable.

Molly's Bit was ideal for the two of us, it had everything that we needed and was very comfortable.

The owners who live next door were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The garden was an ideal place to sit in and enjoy the sunshine etc. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here and wouldn't hesitate to book it again if we return to the Cotswolds.

Very nice people who couldn't do enough for us, as they are new to this business a couple of helpful tips, it would be useful to have some leaflets about attractions in the cotswolds os maps showing walks that kind of thing.

The kitchen had mostly everything that you would need, but required some tall glasses for long drinks. on the whole we had a good week and wish them the best with there new venture.
