Spindle

The hut was immaculately presented, and the hosts were wonderful, helpful and friendly The freshwater pool to swim in is a beautiful plus point, and I highly recommend anyone braves the cool temperature for the benefit it brings of being in it.

I couldn't get my kids out of it! We will most definitely be back again

We had the most wonderful short stay at the Spindle.

The huts are so clean and comfortable with everything you need. Perfect for small families. The setting is just beautiful and we even got to enjoy a dip in the natural pool. The owners were kind and responsive. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning — the perfect escape!

Honestly, the place was absolutely stunning. Set in a tranquil location, it’s ideal for a couple’s retreat — or in our case, the closest my family will likely ever get to glamping (though, admittedly, it was far too nice to be called that!). Beautifully finished, peaceful, and full of thoughtful touches — it really exceeded all expectations.

Excellent stay!

The shepherd’s hut was clean and very well appointed, the owners were lovely, and the location was perfect. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful stay in this charming shepherd’s hut.

The location is absolutely lovely—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. It was the perfect place to unwind. The hut itself is surprisingly spacious, with cosy bunkbeds. It’s very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved how easy it was to get to nearby places like Witney, Standlake, Burford, and Oxford—ideal for day trips and exploring the area. There’s also a fantastic pub within walking distance, which was a real bonus. One of the highlights for the boys was the field with small football nets and swimming pond—plenty of space to run around and play games. All in all, a peaceful retreat with great amenities and an ideal location. We’ll definitely be back!
