Old Groom's Cottage

We greatly enjoyed our visit to Grooms Cottage.

Everything in the property was clean and well stocked. As a small family we had plenty of space and appreciated the convenience of being a short drive from the sights.

A very clean and tidy cottage, ideal location and perfect for a couple or a young family.

We had a lovely few days in the cottage everything you wanted and very comfortable also very good for my 96 year old mother who had her own room downstairs and shower and she could move round very easily.

Lovely area and managed to see alot of the countryside which was very pretty

An excellent high-quality cottage in a quiet location but in easy reach of countrywalks, Oxford Park & Ride and rural villages.

Plenty to do including local National Trust, Oxford tours, BMW Mini production plant, quaint villages and amenities. We can highly recommend the comfortable and well-appointed accommodation

The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable.

It had everything you would need as well as lovely little extras. It was also central to all the tourist areas. Hopefully we will be back later in the year

Cottage is lovely, everything you could possibly need is provided and is high of quality throughout.

Bed is amazing, so cosy, we slept like logs. Owners Tracy and Stuart were great and made sure we were happy, communication was very good. Bread, Milk, Biscuits and Chocs as welcome gifts

The cottage is lovely and Tracy the owner keeps it spotless and very well maintained.It is situated in the lovely village of Minster Lovell which is a great location for exploring the Cotswolds .We visited the Cotswold Wildlife Park which is only a short drive from the cottage as are places like Burford ,Bourton on the water and Stow on the wold.We also used the cottage as a base for trips to London for some retail therapy as well as taking in a couple of shows.I would highly recommend this cottage and would like to thank Tracy for providing a fantastic holiday home for us once again.

We are also rebooked another twice which says it all. Clean, beautiful design and furnishings and a fantastic location in the lovely village of Minster Lovell. Easy access to Burford, Witney and Oxford by direct bus and with a change at Witney you can even reach Woodstock (the home of Blenheim Palace). The White Hart pub nearby does nice food and in Old Minister Lovell within walking distance of The White Hart are two hotels with nice beer gardens. The owners Tracy and Stuart are very helpful and thank you once again for our lovely welcome pack.

Beautiful holiday cottage.

Perfect location on eastern edge of the Cotswolds but also close to Blenheim Palace. Lovely to come back on an evening to this well appointed detached bungalow. Very comfortable leather suites and large Sony TV on the wall. Good to have two bedrooms both with en suite. The bedroom in the loft conversion is very large with roll top bath in en suite. Enclosed back garden with furniture and welcome pack were an added bonus.

Lovely and clean, comfortable, home from home, friendly host, so much to do near by, lots of pubs in the area, easy drive from North West London, lovely welcome pack very much appreciated

Excellent, clean cottage and superbly well equipped, with very friendly owners who live next door, so easily contactable should you encounter a problem, which given the facilities is extremely unlikely.

Well placed for the Cotswolds and Oxford. All in all superb, and would definitely return should we visit the area again.

An absolutely lovely cottage which has been thoughtfully designed and decorated to feel like a home from home.

Hard to find fault with it. Situated in a terrific location which is both quiet but giving easy access to a number of popular and great Cotswolds villages and tourist attractions including Cotswold Wildlife Park, and a number of both privately owned and National Trust properties. Just perfect!

Grooms Cottage is a beautiful Cottage and so comfortable and relaxing and has everything plus much more.

The location is excellent with the Cotswolds and Oxford within easy reach. A definite for the calendar in a lovely location.

Lovely cottage for our family holiday, ideally located for access to the Cotswolds and Oxford whilst also offering plenty of amenities nearby.

Kitchen contained everything we needed across the week, living space and bathroom are beautifully designed and decorated, downstairs shower was excellent. Low ceilings upstairs caught us out a few times; giants beware! Highly recommended and would stay again.

Fantastic Cottage set in a great location.

Design, layout and furnishings to a high standard. Three good pubs within reasonable walking distance and bus services to Witney and Burford close by. We have rebooked it again for next year as we enjoyed it so much.

Grooms Cottage was amazing in every way.

Comfortable, spotlessly clean, but most of all it was like home. The owners have put so much thought in to the property to make your stay perfect, including the hamper of goods, fresh crusty bread, cotswold butter, yummy biscuits, chocolate, jams, milk and so much information in the Guest information book. Tracy the host was at hand to help us with Netflix nothing was too much bother a huge thank you. We highly recommend this property to anyone who is visiting the Cotswolds, its a hidden gem. Sykes is the only company I will ever book with so efficient at keeping you informed by email thank you also.

We had a lovely time at Old Groom's Cottage.

This was our third visit. The owners are very welcoming with a generous welcome pack of local products. The cottage is well maintained and you have most of the things you would have at home. It's more like a home from home, not just holiday accommodation.

Lovely cottage, positioned well for visiting the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire.

A nice complementary basket of stuff for us on arrival. Spar shop and nice pub The White Hart in Minster Lovell, Asda and Morrisons in Carterton near Brize Norton. Burford Bampton, Clansfield and Witney nearvby. Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens Burford well worth a visit. For Oxford, a park n ride is just the ticket, forgive the pun. Really enjoyed our holiday.

Absolutely loved our stay at Groom's Cottage.

It was a perfect spot for exploring the Cotswolds by day and then coming back and relaxing in the evening. The cottage had everything and more that you could wish for and was extremely comfy. The welcome box and goodies were fantastic and really were appreciated. We will certainly be going back to the Cotswolds and will look to stay at Groom's Cottage again without hesitation.

! Tracy had thought of everything , the welcome pack was the best we’ve ever had. The place was soooooo clean and smelled AMAZING !! The bedding was so soft and kept you cool even when it was sooo warm. You will miss out if you go passed this cottage . Would love to stay here again !

Cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable. Some very good local pubs and places to eat. Witney very good local town with FREE parking at M&S.

The owners thought of everything we should need and left a generous welcome pack. We spent our holiday cycling around the stunning countryside and it was a pleasure to relax in this cottage. Highly recommended.

Ideal base from which to have a long overdue meet with my son and family currently serving at Brize Norton ,so it was really only used overnight, but would not be our choice for a holiday.

Accomodation was very clean , comfy and welcoming ,lovely welcome box but quite noisy in the mornings with cars driving along the gravel track past the property, and we felt overlooked by other properties. The owners have a lovely property here, just that we are used to a very rural home ourselves and I guess that we are not used to neighbours. Our holidays are often with Sykes and we have always been very pleased, just that this one is not for us. This is just feedback, with no critisism attached or intended.

We instantly felt at home, and loved the towns and villages of the cotswolds.

Although we booked this break well over a year ago then had to delay it because of the well known pandemic, we have been delighted with everything to do with Groom's Cottage and particularly with the reception from Stuart and Tracy.

Stuart was pretty adept in providing us with a ramp for our wheelchair (he even covered it with artificial grass) Well done Stuart. The welcome pack that Tracy left for us really lived up to it's name, we are now sold on Cotswold butter ! Even though we were curtailed by lockdown measures around the local area we were able to really enjoy visiting attractions such as Minster Lovall Hall, Cogg's Farm and Blenheim Place, and returning to the comfort of Groom's Cottage was a real bonus. Comfortable and spacious cottage, good location, welcome hamper was a nice bonus.

Both owners were nice and friendly. Overall, we had relaxing short holiday, spoiled a little by weather only.

Nothing was too much trouble.

We arrived after a difficult time (probably true for everyone in 2020). We booked on the day of arrival and Tracy had put up a Christmas tree and provided a welcome pack with a homemade fabulous loaf of bread, Cotswold butter, a selection of miniature jam/marmalade. Biscuits, milk. Absolutely extraordinary. The cottage is very warm and cosy, beds are comfortable and during Covid the attention to detail in everything means you feel very safe. Procedures are in place to keep cottage a safe environment. Everything was in working order and excellent decor - relaxing and peaceful. Best cottage ever. Thank you all the extra steps were much appreciated.

The cottage was so clean and so very well equipped.

Tracy was very welcoming and gave us some excellent tips on where to go. This was our first break since all the madness began and we weren't sure what to expect but there was no impact on our holiday whatsoever. The cottage was the best one we have stayed in as it was so well laid out and so very well equipped. Lots of 'how to' information too which has been lacking sometimes at other properties. Would very highly recommend Grooms Cottage to all!

This is the best equipped cottage we have stayed in.

The contemporary design blended well with its country feel. We loved our stay. We also loved how close we were to all the key areas of interest. We really enjoyed our time at Grooms Cottage, thank you. Just a couple of points to note, it was so well equipped there wasn’t an empty cupboard for the food and snacks we brought, we had to leave them on the worktop and the WIFI codes need updating in the welcome pack because it still points you to BT05. Loved our welcome gifts too!

Groom Cottage is absolutely lovely.

Grooms Cottage was a delightful place.

Clean and lovely and warm. Our November break was cold with frost every morning but the place was toasty. Really convenient location, quiet but handy for Oxford and the rest of the Cotswolds. Burford is worth a visit and if you want a fabulous meal, try the Horse & Radish in Minster Lovell, what a treat that was.

Another beautiful cottage and perfect location for that relaxing time away but central to all sorts of adventures!

We were 4 adults and the small downstairs bedroom was adequate for 2 adults and none of us is small.

We had a very relaxing long weekend stay at Grooms Cottage . We visited Cheltenham, Burford and Witney. The hosts Stuart and Tracy were very welcoming and the Goodie box was most appreciated. We also had the added bonus of meeting Archie and Red the resident horses. We most definitely would return to this cottage, it was easy to find with the instructions given. Also a great base for a visit to the Cotswolds.

we feel that the downstairs bedroom is 2 small for 2 adults, ok for 1 adult or 2 young children.

This holiday cottage was the cleanest, most well presented and homely holiday accomadation we have ever stayed in, in the UK.

The owner was on site and was very friendly and welcoming. The welcome pack which included fresh bread was much appreciated as was ample supplies of essentials such as toilet rolls. The location is ideal for exploring the Oxfordshire area/ East Cotswolds and Minster Lovell itself is an extremely nice village to stay in. The only very slight gripe we had was the Freeview channels could be a bit tricky with intermitent problems use which appeared to be due to signal loss.

Tracey thoughtfully provided a practical welcome basket of bread, butter, jam and milk which was so appreciated as we were held up during our flight this year and for the first time in twenty years of coming from Australia we didn't shop on the way to our first cottage. So, thank you Tracey. Loved having the animals around and feeding the horses.

On our arrival we found a delicious welcome box. The location is absolutely perfect for trips to Oxford and into the Cotswolds.

The house was great - second bedroom was too small for adults but that was the only downside.

Apart from that everything was perfect and Stuart and Tracy were most accommodating - even left us a small Cotswolds gift! They went above and beyond, would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at the Groom's Cottage - it had everything we needed for a relaxing break and is in a brilliant location for exploring the Cotswolds.

We had the most enjoyable stay at Groom's Cottage.

Everything we could have needed was available. The cottage was immaculate throughout and the beds and towels were very comfortable. Stuart & Tracy were very friendly. My daughter particularly enjoyed seeing the horses and hens. If we were to stay within the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to come back.

All the small touches are so thoughtful from the welcome basket to the cotton wool & tissues in the bathroom, even rubber gloves in the kitchen!\ The bathroom is like having your own personnel spa and we love the soft lighting - perfect.\ The whole cottage is very welcoming and we will be back.\

This is the most beautiful cottage I've ever stayed in!

I stayed with my two children for a week and we were so impressed. Spotlessly clean and smelt wonderful! Beautiful ensuite to the upstairs bedroom and a lovely view of the horses and stables to wake to each morning. Tracy and Stuart made us feel so welcome and with all the luxuries of home this cottage is a must. Minster Lovell is a pretty little village and within great distance to all the attractions Oxford has to offer. We will most certainly be booking Grooms cottage again in the future.
