Lime Tree

The Lime Tree unit was lovely.

The stairs to the 2nd floor were steep, so I would not recommend the unit for people who have trouble with steps. We found it to be fine and the owners were very helpful and provided a nice touch with a bottle of wine for our stay.

Lovely property.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Very convenient location.

We had a delightful stay at Lime Tree.

The location was perfect: lovely walks on our doorstep and a beautiful village a 5 minute walk away. The facilities were fantastic and very comfortable. The owner lives next to the property and welcomed us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Very happy all around.

A gem of a place to stay.

Very well equipped and clean. We enjoyed being able to walk into Burford for shops and pubs and also able to access lots of walks from the front door. A lovely spot and accommodation for a break. We'd certainly book again.

Lime Tree is a beautiful apartment with all the home comforts, everything you need for a relaxing stay.

It’s excellently equipped, warm, cosy with a very comfortable bed. Tea, coffee, sugar are all provided, along with washing up liquid, dish cloth, tea towel and even a pint of milk and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge- which was a lovely touch. Ice in the ice box too! Barry and Mandy are fantastic owners, very helpful and full of local information. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was beautiful and in a delightful spot.

It was spotlessly clean and the owners ,Barry and his partner Mandy, could have not been more accommodating- bringing us extras we asked for to help accommodate a meal with friends on New Year’s Eve. I would recommend anyone to stay there. It was a peaceful location, but so near Burford high street. Will be visiting again.

The Lime Tree is a great location, just a short stroll to the lovely village of Burford where there were many restaurants, pubs & little shops.

We stayed here for a week. The apartment was modern & well equipped perfect for a couple. The bed was comfortable and the room felt spacious & light. There is a river running at the back of the property which was very relaxing to look out upon. There was nothing we felt we needed but I’m sure if we did Barry & Mandy would have helped as they were helpful friendly & lived at a neighbouring property We would certainly recommend & hopefully visit again in the future

The property owners were on site.

We never had to converse because we were provided everything and needed nothing. We stayed three nights and it was all lovely.

Lovely little flat, the location is perfect.

Within walking distance of everything in Burford, but super quiet and private. Flat has everything needed, loved the little touches, fresh flowers, bottle of wine, freshly ground coffee and milk. Great local pubs and restaurants just down the road. Would recommend staying here.

Despite the accommodation being compact we were surprised by how comfortable and well stocked it was.

The wardrobe was large enough and the bathroom a great size. Plenty of utensils in the kitchenette too. Liked the little touches like the flowers, wine, milk and toiletries. We were also very grateful for the fan! Directions to the property were very comprehensive and it was nice to meet the accommodation owners. Only slight negative was that there were a lot of cobwebs in the bathroom, We would definitely like to come back.

We had a really lovely week's stay in Lime Tree.

A very quaint apartment with a beautiful view overlooking the river, with ducks and swans visiting every morning. The apartment is very comfortable and very well equipped with everything you need. We stayed in Cider Press last year which is the apartment below and we can well recommend both. Burford is a beautiful place to stay and hope to return again very soon. Thank you to the hosts for the welcome pack, it was much appreciated.

A wonderful studio apartment, spotlessly clean, plenty of space and everything we could’ve needed, including flowers, wine, tea & coffee, etc.

, all very thoughtful. Great location, parking no problem, walks from the doorstep, couple of mins walk into Burford, it was just perfect, would highly recommend and will definitely return. Communication re. booking was excellent, it all couldn’t have been better.

A lovely apartment, very close to Burford.

Clean, quiet and a very friendly host! We felt very welcome and if we visit the Cotswolds, I would book the cottage again!

Lovely apartment with everything you could possibly need, in a beautiful setting, near to all amenities, Lime Tree was perfect in every way

Definitely the most lovely accommodation we’ve had the pleasure of staying at

This was a lovely place to stay.

Perfect for my Cotswolds holiday. Good position, well appointed. Everything I needed and more. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful apartment a view to die for everything you need in a very comfortable apartment.

Friendly owners who provided milk, wine and flowers, nice touch. Could not fault anything at all.

Amazing little bolt-hole for our trip away in the Cotswolds

Lime Tree is so peaceful - beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean.

Lovely river views from the balcony - ducks and swans glide by. A very special place. The owners made us very welcome, and we had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much!

Tidy property, handy for walk into town, do need to park on the road which is a short walk away

Beautiful little bolt hole.

Soothing sounds of the mill race beneath us of an evening when everything else was so silent was lovely.

Lovely place to stay.

Great location. Also nice and quite yet close to shops etc. Met the owners lovely and welcoming people

Lovely accommodation which even though it is compact had everything you needed.

We would go again so that in itself is a recommendation. A very enjoyable week away as there is so much to see in the area and Burford is nice to explore as well.

Lime Cottage Beautiful.

Owners Barry and Mandy very helpful.Flowers and Wine a nice touch. Enjoyed our Stay. Thank You. Arthur and Fiona.

Wonderful cottage, really enjoyed our stay here.

Thanks for the friendly reception!

We had a lovely stay, the room felt a lot bigger than in the photos.

Perfect location, the village had lots to do whilst being close enough to drive to other places. We loved the balcony looking over the stream and the place was so peaceful. Barry was a great host, and provided everything we could need. We would definitely return.

A lovely, clean, peaceful apartment in a convenient location.

Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. A great find - thank you.

Great location and the accommodation could not be faulted with a great view over the mill stream Only one drawback there is no parking on site

We had a great time at the Lime Tree!

It was greatly located off the main road and was close to many great coffee shops and stores. The room was very comfortable, and the view of the water and flowers was lovely!

Beautiful property away from it all, though close enough to walk to all the pubs, restaurants and shops of Burford.

Property was spotless and very comfortable. Barry welcomed us on arrival, and was on hand if needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

An absolutely lovely stay in a perfect location.

The property was super clean and extremely well equipped. The bedding, towels and soaps were all excellent quality and the hosts were very friendly and helpful! We had a brilliant post Christmas break away and Lime Tree was the ideal base.

This was our 3rd stay in the Lime Tree, we keep returning for a reason, quite simply it meets everything we enjoy for our stays in the Cotswolds.

Guess what? We will be returning again. Barry and Mandy are great hosts always on hand if needed.

Great location and on street parking proved to be no problem.

Everything needed for our stay, helpful owners, very quite setting, and a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds.

Lovely cottage, very comfitable and in every way came up to our expectations.

The village on itself was beautiful as well, with nice pups and restaurants. Walks around it were lovely.

Lovely apartment in the centre of burford.

Great location n lovely views from window. Enjoyed seeing the swans every morning. Would love to stay again .

A lovely little apartment which was spotlessly clean and with all the facilities needed to enjoy your stay.

A perfect location to enjoy Burford and the local sights.

Great setting lovely hosts and everything we needed for a couple of days thank you

The property & apartment is well kept and very clean.

The apartment is much smaller than we anticipated, we had 2 suitcases and only one could be opened on the floor at a time(we did not totally unpack as we were staying only 4 nights) and that was wedged in betweem the back of the love seat and the edge of the bed behind it, so access to the bed was from one side only. There was a tall dresser housed inside the clothes closet as there was no space for it elsewhere, so the only place to hang longer items was on hallway wall hooks going to the bathroom. The taps in the bathroom are installed upside down, so the lettering on the taps is upside down as well and so turning the taps on and off is backwards ie.the 'off ' position is perpedicular when it should be horizontal. We forgot to mention this during our stay but with everything else so well kept this will be rectified we would hope. We enjoyed the wine & flowers upon our arrival and Barry was an attentive host.

Wonderful property we really enjoyed out stay here.

Such a lovely small, quiet apartment.

Perfect location with balcony overlooking the river and pretty Burford a few minutes walk away.A few more pieces of crockery and hangers always useful! Wonderful to wake up to the swans visiting in the river below and sun over the ancient Cotswold rooftops.A hidden little gem.

Beautiful property in a beautiful area with everything we needed.

We had an absolutely lovely stay and I would definitely recommend it.

A wonderful apartment, in a quiet part of town.

Facilities were excellent. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Fabulous location, very finished/furnished property and wonderfully attentive and supportive owners.

Highly recommended.

Fantastic accommodation in excellent location - really comfy bed.

Listing does not include bath but to have one was a plus. Would definitely recommend Really helpful owners close to hand.

Never had a bad holiday with you aways cottages are very nice and have everything you need

Well furnished studio apartment, ample space for two adults.

Very clean and well maintained. Lovely location, off road and over a small river which served the old mill. 5 minutes walk into Burford which is a lovely Cotswold town with plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. Will definitely consider going back again.

This was the second time that I stayed at this property.

Again it was an excellent holiday in an excellent apartment!

Loved our stay at ‘The Lime Tree’, so much so we have rebooked for near Christmas.

The setting is lovely overlooking the mill stream which is often visited by Swans, moorhens and coots. Being away from the main road makes it a very quiet spot interrupted only by the relaxing sound of water running under the mill. Parking wasn’t an issue for us, we brought our bikes and Barry kindly let us keep them in his shed. The apartment had everything we needed and we do a lot of our own cooking. Bed very comfortable, we went in the middle of a heatwave so the vertical fan was a god send. Burford is a beautiful place with so many walks and bike rides from the door, not to mention the endless good cafes and lovely old English Pubs in true traditional style. We got married the Thursday before we went to The Lime Tree and our week in general was simply wonderful it could not have been better. Looking forward to returning.

Lovely place to stay!

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with plenty of light coming in! There was a lovely view overlooking the Mill River where we got to see plenty of ducks and swans. The location was perfect and very central for looking around the Cotswolds. The owners of the place were very welcoming and helpful. Overall lovely stay, and highly recommend. The only flaw was the lack of parking. We had to park on the street and on the weekend it can get very busy.

Excellent property in a beautiful setting.

The location of the property made for a relaxing holiday every morning being able to see the birds on the river with the patio doors open while eating breakfast. Great location for exploring Burford and the surrounding Cotswolds.

A lovely, comfortable, well equipped apartment in a quiet location but near to Burford High Street.

A great base for exploring the surrounding area.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful location for exploring the Cotswolds.

Very clean and well equipped and within walking distance of shops and places to eat.

Just stayed 3 nights in this lovely cottage.

Everything you could ask for, beautiful location, very peaceful setting. Friendly hosts. Would come back and definitely recommend. Michelle & Sheldon Cowell - Leeds

Simply we had a great time.

It is lovely and ideal cottage for a couple who are looking for cosy, relaxing and unforgettable time from the busy life style. Barry was very helpful so easy to settle quickly. Burford Village has a plenty of shops, cafe and restaurants so you can find what you need easily. We would love to visit again ...hopefully not for long. Best wishes from Tommy & Michael

Lime Tree cottage is a very comfortable studio apartment.

Well fitted out with a small balcony overlooking the River Windrush, idyllic really. Good location, a five minute walk to Burford High Street with a variety of shops and places to eat/drink. Owners were very hospitable, provided good tips of the local area and a nice gesture of a welcoming bottle of wine.

One of the best apartments we have ever stayed in.

Well equipped, spotlessly clean and warm on arrival. The location is idyllic and the owners are helpful but not obtrusive. Perfect location to explore the Cotswolds but Burford itself has everything you need and only a 5 minute stroll from the apartment Cannot recommend any higher!!

Amazing property, amazing location.

We had a great trip and didn’t want to leave!

We really enjoyed our stay Accomodation is very good and in a great location Owner was very helpful and gave some good recommendations Would recommend and certainly visit again

Lovely place to stay in Burford.

Very close to the main High Street with lots of places to eat and shop. Location was lovely overlooking the river with ducks and swans visiting every morning. Would stay again.

we have stayed at this apartment a few times previously and have always found the standard to be excellent.

We shall of course return again next year.

Lovely hosts.

Very clean well presented studio in a quiet location, with only a short stroll to the shops. The village kept us well fed, good coffee available and some nice galleries to entertain us. Also good walking out of the village.

Fabulous hosts, great location and space provided everything you would want and more!

! We will be returning again definitely can’t praise enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lime Tree apartment as it is in such an idyllic setting.

It was so nice to wake up each morning to the sound of the ducks and swans on the river. Burford is a lovely place to stay with an abundance of restaurants and inns in which to enjoy an evening meal, no need to cook.

Lime Tree is a beautiful apartment in a gorgeous setting.

.well equipped and very comfortable..host was great..definitely recommend this property

We have stayed at this lovely apartment on a number of occasions over the past few years and have always found it to be perfectly clean and in an excellent location close to Burford's high street and restaurants.

The host, Barry, is always on hand if needed and ensures that everything is OK. We look forward to returning again in September.

The accomodation is in a quiet location over looking a stream, Barry was a good host and was available if required but didn't bother us, this was our 2nd visit and enjoyed the sunshine.

Our second visit to this perfect location.

Lovely, comfortable and well appointed apartment with everything you need. So relaxing looking out over the stream. Barry and Mandy certainly "go the extra mile" to look after you. Nothing is too much trouble. We would certainly make a return visit.

Enjoyed 3 night break , spotlessly clean apartment, Everything you would need in the apartment.

Convenient and lovely location. Would stay again Kay

Very enjoyable!

We had a lovely week spent in Lime Tree Cottage.

There is nothing we could fault. Set in a beautiul spot and so peaceful. We could hear nothing but the water close by. The apartment is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Only a short walk into the town. Barry and Mandy very welcoming . We really enjoyed our stay. We hopefully will return soon.

The property has the Wow factor.

It was spotless and well maintained. The bed mattress deserves special mention as we both had excellent sleeps. The hosts were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Hope to return.

This was our second stay at Lime Tree, Burford this year and the owners, Barry & Mandy, were again very welcoming.

The apartment was spotlessly clean with good facilities and in an excellent location overlooking the mill stream. We shall certainly return again next year. Full marks to Barry and Mandy for maintaining this property in such good condition.

Perfect studio accommodation.

Very comfortable and very clean. Location is ideal for touring.

Charming host, lovely location, nice peaceful place for a get away for 2, overlooked a stream and daily visit by some swan's, thinking of returning next year.

Beautiful peaceful place.

Spotlessly cleaned. Perfect getaway location

The apartment was very clean and modern lovely location and the hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Would stay again It was helpful to know what measures have been put in place due to Coronavirus it made us feel more at ease

The property I stayed in was lovely, clean and perfect for a short weekend get away.

There was no concern around Covid-19 as everything seemed very well thought through and considered. The owner was considerate and hospitable and made us feel very welcome! We would love to visit again.

Lime Tree is in a perfect location in the Cotswolds.

It is close to pubs with great food, shops and restaurants and is a wonderful place to stay and relax. The studio apartment is clean and comfortable and overlooks the stream and garden. The hosts are friendly and helpful too. This is our 2nd visit and would definitely love to stay there again.

This was the second time that we have stayed at this property and found that the very high standard and cleanliness had been maintained.

We shall most certainly look to book Lime Tree again in the near future.

Lovely flat in a lovely location.

The location was perfect!

Close to the high street so we could walk there in the evenings and have a couple of drinks! The accommodation was beautiful as well! We literally had everything we needed and would have happily stayed longer! Barry was also extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him!!

Beautifully appointed studio apartment, lovely setting, very close to pubs, restaurants and high street.

We had a wonderful stay at The Limes.

The owners had left fresh flowers, fresh fruit, a pint of milk and tea bags and fresh coffee. All little details that made the stay very relaxing. We loved the place, and the openers were very helpful and responsive with any needs we had.

The house was exactly as described and was a very comfortable stay.

The hosts were very nice, courteous and attentive, my wife and I had a wonderful stay with them.

Really lovely apartment in a beautiful setting and very convenient to the town.

Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

On arrival the temperature in the apartment was only 14 degrees and took a long time for the heating to reach a comfortable temperature.

The bathroom remained cold throughout our stay as the heated towel rail was not sufficient to heat the bathroom. Although aware of off site parking it wasn’t ideal in the rainy conditions. There was a blocked toilet which was resolved quickly by the owner. It was a unique location and extremely quiet and we therefore slept well in an extremely comfortable bed. We liked the fact that there were good eating places within a short walking distance.

Beautifully presented and luxurious apartment with very thoughtful touches and everything you could need.

Views of the river and visiting swans whilst breakfasting made a lovely start to the day. Owner friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Fabulous place to stay!

Barrie and Mandy lovely hosts. So peaceful and quiet, could move in! Burford great location and near to plenty of other places that were lovely. Will definitely return!

Friendly and helpful owner.

.The place was clean and airy and bright. Very well equipped and everything we needed was there. A brilliant place where you could explore all the surroundings.

Perfect place to stay in the Cotswolds.

The Lime Tree was very well equipped, clean and beautifully presented. The owner met us on arrival and showed us around. He also recommended a great place to eat. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely go back.

A superb apartment in a very nice location in Burford.

Excellent facilities and the studio was very clean and well equipped. The location was good for local facilities i.e 5 minute walk to shops, pubs and restaurants.

Brilliant weekend thank you.

Its a beautiful cottage. The only thing I would say is the Internet was not working properly but other than that fantastic

Excellent property extremely clean and very relaxing, terrific location.

We will be staying again. Thank you.

We had a lovely peaceful and relaxing stay.

You provided what we needed to accomplish this. Some little touches to make us feel welcome. The only drawback was no private outside space, if the weather was nice (which for us unfortunately it wasn’t) somewhere to sit and relax with a cuppa or a glass of wine as you don’t always want to be out. Otherwise you made us feel welcome and relaxed

Lime Tree was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and made it easy to relax in, the surroundings were very picturesque.

Just a small comment internet was really bad could not ring family had to go out for a walk to ring them perhaps needs to change there internet provide, but otherwise we had a much needed rest and would recommend it fantastic thank you

Everything was as described, the outlook from the balcony was full of wildlife.

Buford is a perfect base, lots of choice for eating and drinking.

Our accommodation was of an extremely high standard and the owner Barry was there to welcome us and show us around.

He was very helpful and friendly. It was set it a tranquil setting and we could watch the birds and see the ducks come for their morning and evening feed. Burford itself is a lovely place with plenty of original shops and places to dine. It is a perfect place to explore the Cotswold.

Lime Cottage was a lovely place to stay and from which to explore Burford and many other Cotswolds villages and towns in easy reach by car.

There were great walks from Burford itself as well as a lively and friendly town. Barry was a great host.

Excellent little bolt-hole in Burford.

Barry and Mandy were very friendly and helpful and the studio, though a bit on the cosy side, was nevertheless very comfortable and clean. Sykes Cottages were easy to deal with. Thank you.

Excellent location just minutes from the High Street with a wide variety of pubs, restaurants, tea shops and individual stores.

On arrival we had a warm welcome from owners Mandy and Barry and the fresh flowers, bowl of fresh fruit and milk were also a welcome touch. The apartment is beautifully presented and very comfortable, everything we needed for our stay. We would thoroughly recommend and hope to return soon as there is so much to do in the area and it's central location means all the Cotswold attractions are conveniently nearby.

Excellent standard, lovely owner who welcomed us warmly and\ enthusiastic about the area and that we had all we needed for our\ stay.

excellent accommodation

Cosy for 2 people all nice and clean.

Lovely surroundings and liked Burford.

Good access to A40 and Cotswolds.

Everything there was fantastic and clean.

We are so happy we chose this cottage. The cottage is very close to Burford centre. Manor Cottages is the best website for looking for cottages.

Yes, we had a great time and found the property to be in an ideal location with all the things we required already thought of and in place.

Plenty of info too on the property and area.

xcellent situation, very clean and comfortable.

Quiet but near town centre.

It was so quiet - even when the water was in full flow.

Location, comfort and very attractive accommodation.

I felt at home, very comfortable.

Clean and neat, great location!

Loved proximity to High Street!

We enjoyed our stay because we had every intention of doing so despite outside factors like the weather.

Burford did not disappoint. We enjoyed our walks and eating places, the Royal Oak and the Mermaid. Accommodations were good, just a wee bit on the dusty side which (for once my wife says) I did not get out the vacuum and mop to clean up.

We liked the flowers and cookies when we arrived - very welcoming, we also liked the price and the way it looked!

Clean, comfortable, perfect location.

Very restful, Enjoyed the garden and exploring Burford.

Very tastefully decorated.

Beautifully situated, very relaxing. Biscuits, milk and flowers were a nice touch.

A beautiful setting !

Good views from the balcony.

Convenient for Burford,well set up.

Beautiful location.

Lovely views, nice and quiet

very comfortable and romantic

Everything you could wish for.

Very nice but its an apartment rather than cottage, but extremely pleasant and airy and a good base in Burford for the Cotswolds and beyond.

It was great value for money and an excellent position - very quiet and overlooking the river yet only 5 mins walk from the High Street.

Very central to visiting Cotswolds in general, good pub up the road, walk to main town, quiet.

Plenty of room in unit.

It is reasonably priced and has everything you need.

Pretty situation.

Interesting view from window of garden and mill water. It was good to have the owners on site. They were very helpful and friendly.

Everything was virtually perfect.

Will recommend to friends.

Everything needed was catered for.

Liked the location and parking and Wifi.

Excellent base for Burford and the Cotswolds.

Accommodation warm and cosy. Bed comfy/slept well. No potato masher.

Clean, tidy and well appointed apartment that is close to Burford but also quiet and relaxing.

Ideal base for exploring Burford. Thank you for the milk tea and biscuits, a lovely touch.

Good situation in Burford.

Interesting building.

Burford is a beautiful town and Lime Tree was perfect for what we needed.

Liked the layout of the room.

Relaxing, functional, spaciousness, easy drive to many places, easy walk into village, very nice owners.

Loved the off street parking, laundry facilities.

Everything you might need in a lovely location.

Love the French doors onto the balcony. Nice to have a welcome pack/friendly owners and use of garden. Good mattress on the bed. Good location and price.

Relaxing lazy weekend, Burford is perfect for that, and Lime Tree is far enough of the beaten track and very secluded.

Could not see any room for improvement, has everything.
