Temple Mews

We had a lovely stay at Temple Mews.

It was a very pleasant home from home and we settled in quickly. Peter very kindly gave us a welcome pack on arrival of eggs, croissants and wine and there were fresh flowers on the table which was a very nice touch. The beds were comfy, the kitchen area a decent size and there was a little balcony to sit and have a morning coffee. There were one or two niggles. The kettle kept switching itself off, the oven had an alarm that kept beeping for no apparent reason (we thankfully managed to turn it off but it happened more than once) and the shower wasn't very powerful. One other thing I'd add is that the steps leading up to the property were pretty steep and one of them was a different height than the others so on descending if you weren't holding the rail you might experience a bit of a slight unexpected drop, something to be careful about for those unsteady on their feet. All in all, it was a great place to stay because the location was near everything, not far from Stow, close to a pub (a few minutes walk) and yet peaceful and quiet, just what a Cotswold holiday should be.

Peter the host was phenomenal and seemed to go above and beyond but this seems standard from reading comments in the guestbook.

Would highly recommend and would love to go back and visit Temple Mews and Peter again.

The cottage was exactly as described and very clean with everything you would require for a comfortable stay.

The fresh produce pack and fresh flowers was very much appreciated. Once Peter knew that our friend was from New Zealand he immediately flew the New Zealand Flag which was a very nice touch. Overall highly recommended.

A very well furnished apartment with everything one could require.

Peter was very accommodating and helpful. My only ‘niggle’ would be , maybe a mat in the shower for us oldies? Would definitely recommend Temple mews.

Temple Mews is a well designed flat with ample storage space.

It is in a quiet location close to a number of National Trust properties and gardens to visit and there are lots of lovely walks in the area. Peter, our host, was very helpful and we appreciated the welcome pack with flowers, wine, croissants, eggs, and chocolate biscuits. Parts of the Cotswolds are busy but Broadwell is a very quiet, pretty little village. We would definitely recommend the property.

It had absolutely everything we could possibly have wished for. Peter was such a gracious host, hosting us with a lovely welcome pack, flowers and our national flag. He was also so helpful in terms of pubs to visit and things to do. We could not have asked for a better week in the Cotswolds! Thanks so much Peter!!!

Lovely property in a great location.

Within easy reach of many of the Cotswold Villages, National Trust properties and Historic Houses. Great base for some lovely walks too. The property is cosy and well equipped and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

Set in a very quiet location in an unspoilt Cotswold village, Temple Mews provided ideal accommodation for a family 70th birthday celebration.

Having everything on one level was ideal for our 17th-month old granddaughter. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful and provided some much appreciated goodies for our arrival.

Me, my wife, and 3 year old son recently had a wonderful time at Temple Mews.

Very clean and well presented, and had all the things that we needed to self cater. Very convenient and beautiful location to access a lot of local villages and we even took advantage of the location and jumped on the nearby train to visit Oxford. Very much looking forward to coming back!

Ok so this was the most magical experience i have ever experienced + because i was on my own Peter + Trish made me feel really welcome + the cottage was perfect the bed was well comfy the whole cottage was clean pristine how i like it so i kept it clean + if you needed anything Peter is always there to help what a Delightful man he is i didn't see Trish because she was poorly but Hope she gets well soon before Christmas.

The cottage was beautifully decorated, fully equipped and very clean. The roses on the table and our national flag were personal touches which we truly appreciated. The area is quite but very reachable to Stow on the Wold with Tesco on the way. Will surely recommend this stay.

The apartment is right in the middle of the Cotswolds and an ideal base for visiting the wonderful towns and villages nearby.

The place is really unspoilt and the village that the apartment is in is beautiful and a stone's throw from Stow-on-the-Wold which has a mix of old fashioned shops and a modern supermarket for provisions. The apartment is big enough for a small family and the owners ensure that you have everything you need including some food and drink when you arrive. The owners live next door to Temple Mews so are on hand for any queries and are lovely, friendly people. The apartment is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The listing stated that there is a bath but there is a shower although this was not a problem for us. We would definitely recommend Temple Mews and hope to return in the future.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage in a great location with lots of local amenities.

Our hosts were most welcoming, going out of their way to greet us outside normal arrival time.

A lovely, well-designed and well-appointed flat just outside Stow and ideally placed for visiting (by car) many of the major Cotswold attractions.

(For the poetically-minded, Adlestrop is a mile or two down the road.) The flat is reached by quite steep outdoor steps, so not suitable for the less able, but we had no problem. The cooker has an induction hob which which I wasn't familiar, but instructions for all appliances are in a kitchen drawer. Wi-fi reception was better than at home! The owners, Mr and Mrs Skea, were very pleasant and had left some very welcome food supplies and bottle of white wine for us. (There is also a large Tesco at Stow.) We enjoyed our stay and should be happy to return.
