Potential to be an amazing property; however facilities poor - shower broken and trips when turned on (not ideal for a 5 bedroom property in a working location).

Toilet downstairs flushes for hours making sleep difficult in this bedroom. House was very dirty, dishes not clean with hairs in drawers. Poor communication from sykes cottages and the cleaners tried to make us leave one day early and then again prior to check out time on day of arrival. Not impressed.

The house was filthy, thankfully we were only there for one night but for the price the condition was not good enough.

Filthy socks left lying around, dust all over the place and dirty floors toothpaste marks, hairs all over the bathroom…. They just hadn’t cleaned. Thankfully they had bothered to change the bed sheets!

Lovely quirky cottage, generally comfortable, especially beds and linen.

However the ground floor could have been cleaner, and needed a good dust. Very warm and cosy during our stay, and the open log fire a lovely feature. Kitchen very well provided for with pots/pans/utensils etc, although we could only find one roasting tin for the oven/Aga? Fortunately we had brought 3 with us so it wasn't an issue' but would have been a disaster otherwise! Loved the Aga, but be aware it was cold when we arrived and needed most of the day to heat up! Had a bit of an issue getting to the parking area, as heavy rain on our arrival day meant the lane was very muddy and slippery, which was interesting in my 2 wheel drive car. But otherwise no issues, and would definitely stay here again!
