    “Firstly we all had an amazing time at sunnyside cottage.”

    It was the perfect location to visit Oxford. We used the park and ride bus witch was really good value, and i would highly recommend the hop on off bus in the city, take advantage and go on the include guided tour. As for this lovely house it was clean and cosy and the beds was very comfortable. A small mention the ceiling is low in the lounge mind your head! We had an amazing time and highly recommend this cottage and thank you sykes for resolving a small problem we had we will return. John, ...

Enthusiasts of the famous TV drama series which was filmed in the village of Bampton will be able to immerse themselves in both a truly beautiful village and similarly a property which sets the standard for self catering accommodation.

We love it!.

Sunnyside Cottage is over 200 years old and is a perfect choice for a couple or two couples looking for luxury.

Recently totally renovated to a high standard with luxury interior.

Farrow and Ball paint, Clearview wood burning stove(logs inc), Hypnos beds, SMART TV, fine bone china, Nespresso coffee machine (pods too), designer lamps and wallpaper, with top of the range furnishings (plus much more) all create a finish that sets the property apart from many others.

The Living Room is characterful with beams and low ceiling making it very cosy and welcoming.The Hare and Partridge bedroom suites are each beautifully furnished and the bathrooms (especially the master bathroom's sparkling shower room) are stunning.

Luxury bath products provided.Outside is a classic cottage garden, perfectly manicured.

Bampton, with its many Downton references, is as you would expect, picturesque but also offers a useful range of shops and pubs within a few minutes' walk.

No children under 10 allowed at the property.

BAMPTON, OXFORDSHIRE

Witney 4 miles; Burford 8 miles and Oxford 19 miles.

The thriving village of Bampton lies in the Thames Valley in the southern Cotswolds, amidst beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Bampton is one of the oldest villages in England boasting a village shop, Post Office, butcher, and traditional pubs serving good food and real ales, all set around a pretty market square a hundred yards from the cottage. Ancient customs can still be experienced with the regular morris dancing festivities, which have been enjoyed for over 600 years. Just four miles away is the riverside town of Witney, which offers many attractions including a weekly market dating back to the Middle Ages, an 18th century town hall, and Wychwood Brewery. Burford is possibly one of the most famous of the Cotswolds' locations. With its medieval bridge, old stone houses and attractive Tudor and Georgian frontages, Burford is justifiably one of the most picturesque towns in England. Often referred to as the 'Gateway to the Cotswolds', the town was originally a fortified Anglo-Saxon ford to be an important regional crossroads and wealthy wool town. With little changing over the centuries. Burford is now very popular with visitors, both for its beauty and history but also for it's shopping and antiques, and for the wide variety of places to eat, with restaurants, pubs and teashops. Oxford, the oldest university city in England, boasts interesting Botanical Gardens, museums and libraries, and plays host to many festivals and markets throughout the year. Enjoy a punt on the River Thames or take a boat trip on the River Cherwell. The ancestral home of Winston Churchill and the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace is just a short drive away, where many lovely walks can be enjoyed around the landscaped parkland. With so much nearby, Bampton provides a wonderful holiday destination.
