“An adorable cottage in a perfect location.”

The fans were a blessing as the first two days were rather warm. We spent most of our holiday sat out in the garden which is a haven for bees and butterflies and secure for the dog. It is such a peaceful setting and in walking distance to three pubs all dog friendly if you book the right section. Food in all three was also good. There is also a beauty salon above the shop and I recommend booking a massage. The cottage had everything we needed, the beds are really comfortable and the hot tub was ...

“Really lovely cosy cottage.”

Spotlessly clean, and well appointed. We found it be beautifully maintained, and the views from the front windows across to the Church and the Lychgate is outstanding . We found it also to be a Great location with walks along the river nearby and the local Pubs & shop within walking distance. The bus service to Stratford & the surrounding areas well worth using. “A beautiful little gem of a cottage!”

Period features, well maintained, everything provided you could possibly want. Lovely secluded garden, which was secure for our dog and the bonus of a hot tub and private off road parking. The village is also lovely, very quaint with a couple of pubs, a shop and river walks. Great base for exploring into the Cotswolds, Stratford etc. Would definitely recommend this cottage, it was perfect!

“Beautiful thatched cottage, well appointed.”

Minor quibbles - not enough places to hang towels in bathroom and very tiny bedside shelves in second bedroom. Overall very happy. Beautiful enclosed garden ( very good for dogs). All rooms a decent size, furniture well thought out. Kitchen well stocked with china, cutlery and cooking implements. I happen to hate induction hobs, but it was fine. We couldn't turn the dishwasher on, but the problem was quickly and pleasantly resolved.

“We arrived early and the owners were on site but welcomed us warmly and let us in.”

The house was gorgeous (probably the nicest we have stayed in). The information pack was comprehensive and really useful. The two pubs in the village are great. We found a walk through the fields to get to the Four Alls which was pleasant rather than walking along the road. Perfect week away, highly recommend.

“Fantastic place to stay, clean, tidy, beautiful inside and out.”

Owners very much on hand for information and queries. Chocolates, milk and dog treats as a welcome which was lovely, along with tea/coffee/hot chocolate. The washer was s good send, especially to freshen up clothes after a muddy walk! The instruction manual was well thought out, didn't want for anything. Weather was a little dull and wet, so boots definitely required for local walks, but still beautiful and well worth doing. Beautiful cottage, village and hot tub was also a great addition. Great pubs nearby also which are all dog friendly. We will return in sure.

“We had a great stay at this beautiful cottage.”

It's been renovated to a very high standard and the mix of new and old fittings works brilliantly. It had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean, and has comfy beds. The hot tub was very welcoming after a day's touring, and the back garden was large and secure enough for our dog to run around. The owners were very friendly and helped us massively when we had car issues. Would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a base to explore Stratford & the Cotswolds.

“Beautiful cottage, just the right size for three of us and the dog.”

We opened the gate into the lovely garden (with hot tub) then explored the cottage itself and were welcomed by a hand written note & a box of chocolates. From the creaky wooden floors upstairs to the wonderful wooden ceiling beams and the lovely fire in the living room. Everything was well laid out, a well written book of instructions / advice was on the kitchen table. Communication with the hosts was excellent. “Stunning cottage, so pretty.”

Everything we needed, clean and tidy. Tea and coffee and milk! was provided and the chocolates and welcome note is such a lovely touch. The weather was very kind to us so we all loved the hot tub and relaxing in the private enclosed lovely garden. The local pub is just around the corner. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We would have no hesitation in reccomending the cottage to friends and family, in fact we already have!

“Absolutely gorgeous property, set in a lovely quaint village.”

Couldn’t fault a thing, was spotlessly clean, modern, but still with the original features and very cosy. Was equipped with everything you need, even a treat left for the adults and doggies. Thank you! We didn’t want to come home, the village pub was a very short walk away, serving lovely food and very convenient, we ate there every day during our stay. The River Avon another short walk away too. Can’t wait to re-visit.

It is thoughtfully presented to make the most of its charm and quirkiness. It has everything you could possibly need to make your stay a comfortable one. The owners have paid great attention to detail, spotless inside and out, lovely garden area and a perfect mix of old world charm and modern necessities. It’s a great base to explore the area on foot, via many footpaths and river towpath that criss-cross the village and everywhere is very dog-friendly. Would love to return soon and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the cottage and location.

Even better than it looks in the photos, it is well equipped and comfortable with lots of nice touches that made it feel quite luxurious. The owner was very welcoming, providing a box of chocolates and milk for that all important cup of tea after a long journey. If I return to the areas I would definitely hope to stay at Church View again.

The robes and towels for the hot tub were such a nice touch! We spent lots of time in the gorgeous garden relaxing in the sunshine, and evenings were really comfortable in the beautifully decorated lounge. “Possibly one of the best cottages I have stayed in!”

Everything is to a high standard, could not fault anything. The location is beautiful, great walks and scenery. The weather was too hot at times to be out with the dogs, but this didn’t matter as it was so comfortable and relaxing to stay in the cottage and garden (eating and drinking obviously!). I would highly recommend a stay at Church View if you want a stress free break, in a fabulous property, in a picturesque part of the country.

A gorgeous place to visit lots of local walks and a lovely local pub 5 minute walk. The cottage was very cozy we wanted for nothing. We stayed Easter weekend and there was an Easter tree and chocolates waiting for us. We went to Warwick Castle well worth visiting too we all loved the hot tub and beautiful enclosed garden. The picturesque conservation village of Welford-on-Avon nestles on the banks of the River Avon in beautiful Warwickshire countryside. Just 5 miles from Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, Welford boasts 3 village pubs, including the award-winning Bell Inn which won the best dining pub in Warwickshire 2016. Welford also has a general store and a children's play area, one of the tallest maypoles in England, many thatched cottages and a popular golf club.
