Rhian “Again, we have just spent another perfect week in this spotless cottage just 2 minutes away from the centre of Stratford.”
The owners, Alan and Moira, are always extremely generous leaving a bottle of milk, wine, chocolates and fruit, and this year - despite it being only the beginning of December - they had decorated the house tastefully with a beautiful Christmas tree and pretty lighting everywhere. Thank you both for a lovely time, once again. We hope to be back soon.

The house is in a fantastic location to enjoy all Stratford-upon-Avon has to offer. We hardly used the car as we could walk to so many great places. The house is beautiful, was very clean and welcoming. The kitchen had everything we needed and our 3 year old loved playing in the garden. We really enjoyed our visit and are already making plans to visit again. Thank you.

Everything was perfect we felt cosy & very much at home. It was very well equipped and the extra treats were very much appreciated. It was so well located for the town, buses & station. Chris “We stayed in this property for the Christmas period and it was an excellent break.”
The property is ideally located being walking distance from the town cafe's, restaurants, theatres and the River Avon. Even though it is permit parking, there were always spaces available. The 'One Elm' pub on the corner, a few minutes walk away, is extremely well run and the food is good. The property is decorated and furnished to a high standard and the owner is extremely helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to others.

Kathleen “A very nice property and well maintained.”
I think we were not expecting Stratford upon Avon to be so busy with traffic. You have to negotiate some busy roads to get around. Our own problem obviously.
- Kathleen, September 2023Thanks for your feedback - Stratford upon Avon is a year round destination and the volume of traffic can be challenging. Property Owner

George “We had a wonderful time staying in this excellent cottage, thank you!”
Pristine cleanliness, everything you could want or need. Super comfortable beds, excellent shower. Fully equipped kitchen too!! The only comment we would make is, at our ages late 60’s, the couches were rather low for us, but fully appreciate they would be perfectly ok for others. Thank you too for the delicious welcome goodies, so lovely of you, especially enjoyed starting our holiday with the delicious bottle of Pinot
- George, April 2023Many thanks for your great feedback it is very much appreciated. Property Owner

Karen “Low rating only because of parking issues.”
The permit does not guarantee a nearby parking space. Had to resort to using premier inn parking from Sunday to Wednesday at £6 per day. The parking situation should be clearly stated in facilities for the cottage. I will not use this cottage again.
- Karen, September 2022We are really sorry that you had these parking issues. No 25 has been a holiday cottage for over 4 years and this is the first time a guest has had such difficulties with parking. The email and the attached Information Pack that we issued prior to your visit made it very clear that the parking permit is valid for a number of streets in the neighbourhood on a first come first served basis. It is very rare that a parking space can not be found in the parking permit area. We provide our contact details and encourage all guests to contact us in the event of any issues arising. Had you made contact we would have made every effort to assist as we have done on many occasions as detailed in other feedback. We thank you for acknowledging the high levels of cleanliness comfort and facilities at No 25. Property Owner
-
David “The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.”
The kitchen was well equipped with a really nice welcome pack of goodies. We also enjoyed the outside space to sit with a glass of wine after a busy day sightseeing. Shakespeare St is a great location as everything was in easy walking distance.

Ayca “The property is a very short walk to town center and all the attractions and restaurants/shops.”
Booking through the website was easy and owner of the property is very helpful and responsive. He sent all information in advance and when we arrived the cottage was spotlessly cleaned. Any questions I emailed to owner direct, received a response swiftly so I would strongly recommend this cottage. Even though in town centre, still very quite at night so no sleep was disturbed.
- Ayca, August 2022Thank you for your kind comments. So pleased that you enjoyed your stay at No25 Shakespeare Street. Property Owner

John William “We made a last minute booking and it worked out perfectly with everything ready for our arrival.”
Neat and tidy cottage, with spacious kitchen and outside seating area. On street parking ( permit provided) was always available even in late July when the town was full of visitors. The short walk to town with all it had to offer could be made in minutes. Nice little grocery store around the corner for bread and drinks.
- John William, July 2022So glad that you enjoyed your last minute stay at No25 and thank you for your great feedback. Property Owner

Sandra “This cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable.”
It was exceptionally well equipped and met all our needs. Our only observation was when people outside passed the lounge window they did tend to glance inside, a net curtain would provide privacy and a little security. Also a little rug in the lounge area would be nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, our host provided us with ample provisions on arrival which was very much appreciated and we do thank them.
- Sandra, February 2022Thank you for your excellent feedback and your constructive comments regarding the window coverings which we intend to address as soon as possible. We look forward to your return visit. Property Owner
-
Paula “The cottage was 5*.”
All round perfect and excellent value for money. Perfect location; no parking worries as cottage comes with one car parking space. The cottage is very well maintained, very clean and modern, plus has everything you could possibly need if you decide to stay in and do some home cooking! The icing on the cake is the super welcome pack that was definitely above and beyond the normal 'starter' welcome pack. Alan and Moira are very helpful too. We have previously stayed in 2 Skyes properties over the past 18 months; 25 Shakespeare Road is by far the best one. We cant wait to rebook !
- Paula, February 2022Thank you so much for this great feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes Alan & Moira Property Owner

Katie “Host Alan was really helpful with thoughtful communication in advance, including sending us the welcome park electronically (due to covid) and called to ensure parking was as easy as possible.”
It was one of the most thought through properties we've stayed in, very practical and had everything you could need and tasty food/milk provided. The property is a maximum of 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. It was a lovely place to stay and we highly recommend it.
- Katie, December 2021We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in the cottage, thank you for your kind feedback, best wishes Alan & Moira Property Owner

Adrian “A fabulous well equipped cottage.”
Very close to the town centre. Very clean, beautifully decorated with comfortable beds a very generous welcome pack. The owner rang us to inform us of the road closure due to a local event. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Mike “Great location.”
Quiet but very accessible for pubs, restaurants and the town. Thought that parking may be an issue but trouble free. Very well equipped cottage. Great base for the plentiful National Trust properties - Coughton Court, Charlecote, Hidcote in particular. Easy access to railway station - trip to Oxford. Thank you. Very happy to recommend on all counts.
- Mike, October 2021 -
Christopher “A great stay in this lovely, very well maintained house.”
Perfectly located only a few minutes walk from the town centre. We have stayed in many homes over the years and this one was spot on and to a very high standard. We would certainly return again and highly recommend. The owners were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful.
- Christopher, October 2021 -
Roger “We had the absolute best time on our weeks stay at this lovely house.”
We could not have asked for more, every little detail you could think of, it was there. Kitchen fully equipped, bedrooms lovely as was the bathroom, great powerful shower. The garden is great for a chill in the sun with the beverage of your choice. Thank you so much for the welcome pack too, beautiful flowers and all the lovely treats, everything you need upon arrival with the added luxuries. Literally a 10 mins tops walk to the centre to so many amenities and lovely shops, pubs restaurants etc.. We would happily rebook in the future, thank you so much again.
- Roger, September 2021 -
Andrew “The house was lovely and the location was fantastic but our stay was spoilt by a very uncomfortable bed.”
You can actually feel the springs through the matress. A couple of nights into our stay we turned the matress over and the other side was less lumpy. A new matress is definitely required though!
- Andrew, September 2021 -
Susan “Fabulous holiday home!”
Communicative hosts who were very helpful throughout our stay. The house was wonderfully clean and comfortable, and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well-stocked and the welcome gifts were such a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The garden was also lovely (I only wish the weather had been a little nicer so we could have used more!) and we enjoyed reading in the living room. Couldn't have asked for a nicer stay!
- Susan, August 2021 -
Janet “The cottage was amazing.”
Comfortable and well equipped - everything you could want (and more!). In a perfect place close to the centre of town. On arrival there were added extras waiting for us which was a really nice touch! No problem with parking as we only moved the car once during our stay. Don`t hesitate if you`re looking for a great place to stay.
- Janet, July 2021 -

Catherine “We had a wonderful time at 25 Shakespeare St.”
The cottage was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Alan and Moira had provided some essentials such as bread and tea bags, also luxury extras such as wine and chocolate. There were games and books for us to use and my children especially loved playing Bananagrams. The location is excellent with just a short walk to Stratford town centre and Waterside, allowing easy access to Shakespeare's birthplace, boat trips, shops and restaurants. There is no off road parking but a parking permit is provided. Alan communicated well beforehand to ensure that we understood how to use it. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the property.
- Catherine, July 2020 -
Gary “What a fantastic holiday house this is!”
It’s so central, which makes it really easy to get around. The house itself is so well equipped, the bedding is good quality and it’s spotlessly clean. There were loads of wee extras when we arrived including wine, chocolate and milk and communication from the property owner Alan regarding parking was really helpful too. All in all it was everything you could want in a holiday home, perfect.
- Gary, July 2020 -
Rhian “A beautiful cottage just a stone's throw away from Shakespeare's Birthplace.”

Rhian “A perfect cottage!”
Warm, comfortable, only a short walk to the centre of town .. The owners were extremely generous with their unexpected goodies and all the facilities were excellent. In fact, it was so perfect that we have booked to stay there again in 5 weeks' time. Need we say any more! Thank you for everything.
- Rhian, November 2019 -
Lucy “Beautifully clean cottage really close to Stratford Upon Avon town centre, railway station, shops and attractions.”
The owners had left a wonderful welcome package of food and drinks for us that we enjoyed during our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped with coffee making and cooking facilities, plentiful crockery and dishwasher. The heating was easy to control. The parking permit enabled us to park close-by when spaces were available (we found a space within 150m each time we needed one). Our eldest was glad of the good quality Wi-Fi and our youngest enjoyed playing one of the board games (it has been added to the Christmas list!) 25 Shakespeare Street was the ideal base for visiting the children's Grandma. We spent 2 days doing odd jobs and gardening for her, so were glad of this peaceful & comfortable cottage to return to in the evenings. We also enjoyed a visit to Stratford M.A.D. museum (Mechanical Art & Design), Cadbury World in Bournville (by train), and some geocaching around the town. Thank you.
- Lucy, October 2019 -
Ruth “On arrival we were greeted with a more than generous welcome pack, giving us the basics that we needed plus more.”
The house was very well equipped and very clean and comfortable and was within walking distance of the town and many attractions. We would be more than happy to return in the future.
- Ruth, October 2019 -

Julie “We had a very comfortable stay at this beautiful cottage.”
Everything that could be done to make our stay as comfortable as possible was done. The cottage is lovely and clean and bright and exceptionally well decorated. The welcome package of the essentials and goodies was a lovely touch. My family and I will return again when we are next in the area.

Alison “The cottage is gorgeous.”
The Christmas decorations were such a welcoming sight when we arrived, as were the fresh flowers and provisions to get us going. It was warm, cosy and very well-equipped, but most importantly, it was fantastically clean. We loved being able to walk into the town and it was completely peaceful despite being so close. The owners have worked hard to make it a lovely home from home.
- Alison, December 2018 -
Pam “A lovely place to stay.”
Very convenient location in easy walking distance to all the local shops and attractions.
- Pam, November 2018 -
Lindsay “This little house is perfectly situated within easy walking distance of the town centre.”
On arrival we immediately felt welcome because of the thoughtful touches the owners had made prior to our arrival. After a particularly horrendous journey they were all the more appreciated. The kitchen is very well stocked, and the entire house was beautifully clean. I had some contact with the owners prior to our stay, and they were very friendly and helpful. As I have fibromyalgia I did find the bed a little too hard for me, but my daughters slept well so this is probably unique to me. All in all it was a wonderful stay. Be very careful with the parking though - despite the instructions I still managed to get landed with a parking ticket on the first night. We are looking forward to booking again in the future. 25 Shakespeare Street now feels like a "home from home".
- Lindsay, October 2018 -
Geoff “Alan and Moira were excellent and concerned hosts.”
They were easy to get on with and friendly. The house is very close to shops, pubs, restaurants and places of interest even for us in our upper 80`s. Regarding that, parking is difficult. If you take the car to visit other areas you are not certain to get a parking place easily on your return and may have to check adjoining streets despite having a parking permit. We left the car parked , used the hop- on-hop-off bus or walked the short distance to the town centre. We had a very pleasant and relaxing time.
- Geoff, October 2018 -
Karen “Great location, lovely cottage, imaculate a real home from home every ammenity that we needed with thoughtful extra touches, fresh flowers, food basics, bottle of wineand more.”
Alan and Moira have done a great job!would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting stratford.
- Karen, October 2018 -
Ann “Excellent cottage very near to town centre.”
- Ann, September 2018 -
Geraldine “Stratford easy to get around from this property used buses to get around to Warwick other places.”
Only used car to come home because owners supply parking permit which worth it parking not easy but walk into town centre only 5 minutes great.
- Geraldine, September 2018 -
David “The accommodation at 25 Shakespeare Street was excellent, in a perfect location and offering everything you need to enjoy your break.”
Everything was of good quality and it was obvious Alan and his family take a real pride in the property. When we return to Stratford we will have no hesitation in booking again.
- David, August 2018 -
Juliet “Lovely place for a holiday!”
- Juliet, August 2018 -
Eosu “Great, lovely place.”
Peaceful and calm village but walk distance to all the famous venues in Stratford-upon-Avon. If you visit there as a 3-4 membered family, definitely here!
