A very comfortable bed . House very clean and tidy. Garden all enclosed so very handy for the dog , and lovely to sit out and enjoy the nice weather and the wildlife. Look forward to visiting again

Absolutely faultless accommodation !

Spacious, clean, everything looks new and a lovely garden to sit in. The village centre and railway station are only a few minutes walk away and no hills to climb ! Seeing the trains pass at the bottom of the garden was simply a bonus. That said, if you are not into trains, they were so quiet that you don't actually hear them ! We would gladly stay here again without any hesitation.

The property was very good and the position was ideal.

For us though the holiday was let down due to the bad weather we had for the entire week as we like walking and got soaked through many times in the rain even with waterproofs. Can’t choose the weather I suppose.

We really enjoyed our stay in accommodation that provided all you could want or need.

It was ideally located to function as a hub from which to explore the area and we would most certainly put it top of the list for a repeat visit.

The house is lovely with all the amenities you need.

The train line at the back of the house is not an issue. The walk into Moreton on Marsh is a five minute level walk. We had a small issue with the remote control but following an email to the owners it was quickly resolved. Moreton on Marsh is a lovely small town with plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from. It is also central to lots of things to do such as the wildlife park, sudeley castle, Stratford and Oxford. There is also a railway station so places like Oxford are a 30minute train drive away if you don’t wish to drive. Would definitely recommend this place for a coltswold holiday.

Really enjoyed our week at Oakmead , nice quiet little area , even though next to railway , the train noise is minimal .

Nice and close to the Moreton high street, with lots of nice shops and pubs. Coop local store with everything you might need. Would recommend a trip to Burford as it is a lovely place . The Arboretum was very enjoyable and had a nice cafe for a cuppa and snack . The Slaughters also worth a visit , very pretty . Had a great time very relaxing and nice friendly atmosphere .

We have a serious problem with Sykes Cottages and are unable to get any suitable response from them.

They are blocking correspondence and ignoring our issues. This has no reflection on the owners of the propert but purely the holiday company who we have since learned have a very poor record in customer service and transparent property and pricing descriptions. We will pursue our complaint through whatever means necessary but will definitely use or trust Sykes again

Oakmead Cottage proved to be an ideal base to travel around the Cotswolds, and literally a five min walking distance from the Moreton-in- Marsh town and amenities with a varsity of pubs and shops to drop into.

There are a number of supermarkets close range to choose from, so a two min drive to pop out and stock up when required. The cottage was clean and tidy and had everything required to cater for anything whilst 'back at base'. The living room proved a cosy evening retreat to catch up on a bit of evening TV with comfy sofa and lounge chairs which the Mrs thought was particularly relaxing The enclosed garden was everything we hoped for, proving ideal for sitting out for a morning coffee, afternoon drinks and catching the sun as much as required. Even a parasol for times to keep out of the sun if required. The gas BBQ was an added bonus, convenient and really easy to use even if you've not experienced using one before as I hadn't. All in all the cottage fully met our requirements, and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending our using again

Very clean and comfortable house.

Trains not very loud so not an issue for us. Garden secure for dog so she could come and go as she pleased and we didn't have to watch her all the time. Short walk to centre of town. Would stay again, highly recommend.

Lovely house.

Quiet location even with the train line. Clean and well looked after. Ideally situated in Moreton. Just a short walk from all amenities. Train station within walking distance,nice day out in Oxford. One of the nicest properties stayed in.

Nellie (my Cockapoo) and I had a truly wonderful time at Oakmead cottage cannot find anything at all negative to say, loved watching the trains go by very quite and peaceful close to Main Street would definitely like to stay again highly recommend this cottage THANK YOU Patricia & Robert.

Very comfortable with everything we needed.

Easy walking distance to town and restaurants, easy safe parking and lovely neighbours. We really felt at home and had a lovely holiday.

House was warm, clean and comfortable and well equipped.

It was well decorated and furnished to a high standard. Garden was very nice and tidy. Looking forward to returning the next time we visit the Cotswold area.

The cottage was clean, well equipped and a great position to walk into town for the large choice of pubs, restaurants and coffee houses. I loved waiting to see the train each day which did not interfere with the general quietness of the area.

One of the best holiday lets we have stayed in!

Location a short walk from the town but very quiet. Easy access to the countryside. Furnished to a high standard with everything you could need. A spacious and well decorated house. Quiet back garden with birds feeding and a perfect coffee oasis. We will return!

A very well equipped cottage in a very handy location for the town.

A pop-up toaster would have been handy, and would advise future clients to take their own towels.

We've just got back from a lovely stay at your cottage, just my husband, myself & our cocker spaniel!

Our first holiday without our children! It was perfect, we enjoyed lovely long walks, the Market in Moreton on Tuesday, pub lunches & peace & tranquility. We had everything we needed, the cottage is clean & welcoming & the garden is so pretty. My only negative remark would be that the pillows in the bedroom were rather too fat to sleep on, we usually bring our own as we both suffer with our necks, but it really didn't spoil our stay, unfortunately we've got to that age where you need the right pillow for comfort. We will definitely come again, thank you.

Lovely stay in Moreton, great location for visiting a number of different areas in the Cotswolds.

High street pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants were a 5 minute walk from the house and great walks close by make this a fantastic base for a holiday. House was beautifully clean and well equipped with pretty garden. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

A very comfortable and cosy property which is really convenient to the shops, restaurants and pubs in Moreton.

Don't be put off by mention of train noise. The line is fairly close to the rear of the property but we certainly didn't experience any problems. Lots of interesting places to visit and many walks all nearby.

We stayed over Christmas.

We arrived to find it very tastefully decorated with a welcome card, a bottle of bubbly, and some chocolates. It was a very comfortable stay and we found it quite delightful. The kitchen was great - we cooked a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and had a dishwasher to clean the pots. Very handy for the local amenities. Lovely garden with the entertainment of the birdlife. Absolutely recommended - book with no doubts.

We have been to the cottage quite a few times now and it is very homely, a wonderful conservatory too.

Everything is there to make your holiday complete, all the home comforts you’ll need. So close to all the amenities too, we will be back definitely, well done to the owner, 5 star our stay was and thank you for the tea, coffee, biscuits and milk, most welcome!

The house is very comfortable and cosy with everything we needed.

Great position in a quiet cul de sac but near the centre and facilities. Perfect for walks from the door or easy access to main routes by car to visit attractions and the beautiful Cotswolds villages.Even a train station and reasonable bus links.Used the bus to get to Chipping Campden and Bourton on the Water and walked back. Had a lovely week of very muddy walking. The conservatory is warm and great for drying wet waterproofs etc or just watching the birds and the trains go by. Our second visit and hope to return.

We found the property very clean and everything we needed was there.

It was very peaceful, the trains going past didn’t disturb us, and the birds in the garden were a delight. Very handy for shops and dining, and many places to visit nearby. An ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds.

Very pleased with the house.

Good location and was very clean and tidy on arrival. We didn’t do any cooking other than toast but everything was there if needed. Note to owner the bathroom fan wasn’t working which meant bathroom got very hot and humid. Nice little secure garden.

Excellent location and a very comfortable house to stay in.

Facilities were excellent except for the disposal of rubbish, very confusing.

A very nice little place to stay, we enjoyed our few days very much.

Tucked away from the busy town centre, but not too far to walk to the pubs and shops (even for me!). Everything we needed was there and the conservatory and garden are delightful. The photos on the site are very accurate, so no nasty surprises! No beautiful views BUT as a base for exploring the Cotswolds it is very good.

The cottage had everything we required, comfy bed well equipped kitchen lovely fluffy towels in the beautifully decorated bathroom. Nice lounge and conservatory . Just a short walk on to the high street with pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. Would book again if we were to make a return visit. The only downside was the weather it was horrendous.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Situated in a very quiet area lovely private garden. Short walk into Morton ideal location to tour the cotswolds. Very clean and all the facilities you would have at home. We would definitely go back again.
